@Frisbeee im doing ok, I’m hoping that the bleeding will stop being so heavy soon as we arrived on holiday today! Definitely was a good move to book a holiday after the early scan just in case. Would definitely recommend it to everyone. How are you? Xx

Im on day 3 of Estradiol tablets and will hopefully start injections end of the week depending on when my cycle starts. My last IVF was only last month but seems ages ago so keen to get back on with it!

@Frisbeee we are in the south of France for 10 days. Very very glad to be here! I can totally relate to that, now that we know we’re going to have to go again we want to do it like yesterday. I so hope that this next round goes well for you! Xx

Hello ladies… hope it’s ok for me to join this chat, I have pretty much completed my cycle I am just waiting to do a test Saturday… leading upto Saturday this week I have felt anxious, tired and low it’s the not knowing.. I’m praying everyday

Hi everyone, I've been lurking for a while as wasn't sure I'd ever start the treatment. My partner hasn't been keen on the idea, she struggled to bond with our first child and still struggles with her! Although they have a lovely bond now. Anyway, she's realised that it would be good for our daughter to have a sibling. I'm now 40, 41 in July so time is not on my side! I fell pregnant first time with my daughter, who is now 5, so no idea how this will go! I'll be starting Suprecur injections towards the end of this month and then Menopur. Anyone have any issues getting Menopur, I've heard there is a shortage? I've been prescribed 12 days but only needed 9 days on my first IVF. I dont want to buy 12 days worth if not needed!

I hope you all had a lovely Easter break.

I’m hoping to start my Gonal F injections this evening, I’m just waiting on my blood results to go ahead. I have to admit, the logistics of Gonal F are not easy due to it needing to be refrigerated 😅. I’m trying to work out ways I can still attend some birthday meals and parties that I have coming up whilst keeping it cold 🤦🏼‍♀️ any advice would be greatly appreciated x

@Fizzle1987 I was told I had an hour's lee way so I decided to take mine at ten pm which gave me until eleven pm to get home to take it if I was going out that night xx

@SF82 better to have a couple of extra for all eventualities. You may need a couple of days more medication, one might get damaged etc. better to have a couple extra I promise x

It’s funny isn’t it as my nurse has told me I have an hours grace with the Buserelin but with the Gonal F it needs to be as close to the same time everyday as possible?

The problem I’ve got is, I’m going to a birthday meal in London next week and because no one knows about the IVF I’m playing along as though I’ll be drinking ect which means we are getting a mini bus up at 5pm and getting picked up at 1:30am, so it will have to come with me, but obviously I need to keep it cold, I’ve been looking at small cool bags which could be the answer. X

Started the Gonal F last night and messed it up a little, I was working so trying to be quick and the bigger needle put me off a little and as I pulled it back out some of the liquid was still in the needle and dribbled out 🤦🏼‍♀️ x

@Fizzle1987 don't worry. Sometimes some oozed out of my body when I did it too fast xx

Hi everyone is it ok to join your chat?
I am starting my 4th round of IVF technicaly did my egg collection 2 weeks ago but was overstimulated so needed to wait for a month before we can do a transfer. Am doing my treatment abroad and haven't told family so has been a nerve wracking time again! Is there anyone here who is having IVF abroad?

@Vallef that sounds stressful! Have you done it abroad each time so far? I know there are some really good clinics abroad so wishing you the best.

Thank you @CR7 and @BiscuitLover3678 :) in regards to Gonal F as I have now taken it twice it needs to be taken at the same time every day without fail. In a one off emergency you have the 1 hour leeway but realistically you don't want to risk anything so I'd stick to the time you chose as much as possible. Also I was told both in the UK and in Greece it should be put between 6 and 10 at the very latest so I woulndt leave it for later than that maybe?

@BiscuitLover3678 I have to say my first 2 times in the UK where much more stressful as I just didn't have the relationship with my doctor. I kept seeying whoever was on duty for scans each time and even egg collection and embryo transfer was done by random doctors I didn't know.

@BiscuitLover3678 in Greece was my 3rd try and I got pregnant for the first time but miscarried at 6 weeks so hoping this round is as successful and this time it sticks better!! I don't regret being in Greece one bit. My scans and bloods are all in the price so I don't have to worry about secret surprises on what I owe. I get to see my doctor every other day and he actually cares like if am overstimulated he will get me to wait he won't proceed just for rhe sake of being paid. I just feel they take more care and look at you as an individual. I also was asked to do bloods like for NK cells and thrombosis and mutations etc in the UK I was quoted something like 2k just for the 2 tests. In Greece I did everything like 20 tests for 350 euros. Its just too crazy in the UK all about money and not the experience and outcome!

Anyway I have many tips so anything you guys need please ask. Seriously food plays a major role as well and it's slightly different for whichever stage your at I.e if at egg collection you need to be eating around 60g of protein a day. Unless you try to do this you won't as you would be surprised how lil protein we be having. For example an egg has 8grams which is nothing! And for embryo you need to be having red meat but lean beef type not unhealthy pork. After embryo your not allowed raw fish and soft cheeses for example there's just so much!
