Welcome @Vallef xx I'm having my third frozen transfer next week so I get everything you're saying. Sending lots of luck to you xx

Frisbeee · 19/04/2023 15:17

@Vallef you’re so right about the waiting being the worst! The first bit during stimms is exciting as you’re seeing something develop and grow so it’s all positive at that point!

Wow 32 eggs!! How did you feel? Hope you weren’t too uncomfortable and bloated. Good that your body has had a chance to rest and hopefully in the best place for this transfer. Have you got others in the freezer from that cycle?

I'm penciled in for egg collection next Wednesday so will see how the stimms go in the meantime. This morning showed 12 follicles growing but I’m hoping Fridays scan will show a few more. I only had 5 eggs last time, 2 made it to day 3 for a double transfer but none for the freezer. Good to hear positive stories, it’s needed to keep us all going sometimes I think!!

Welcome all newcomers! How are we all doing?

@BiscuitLover3678 thank you will let you guys know how it goes!

@Frisbeee 32 eggs felt like I had a ton of bricks in my lower region and was so bloated evweytime i went to pee i felt mt insides werw going to drop lol soeey for the visual!!!. The most I've had before is 21 eggs. Am polycistic so the positive is lots of follicles it's just obviously the quality is the most important element. On 3rd cycle from 21 eggs we only had 2 gd ones and i was absolutely gutted. This time round we managed to get 4 good quality eggs luckily and I consider my self blessed as I know not every woman gets this outcome. I really think this time I was more conscious about eating at least 70g of protein per day and am thinking maybe this helped so hun for next week I would say really ramp up maybe on food quality. Quinoa, chickpeas, egg whites, tuna etc

Be positive each cycle is different and I think our bodies react different. The only bad thing is am taking utrogestan (progesterone) and it is kicking my butt feel so dizzy all day where as previous times it would only affect me at the time of taking it for about an hour.

Hi everyone, mind if I join? Just about to come off Provera - I have to contact the clinic on day 1 one of bleeding. Pretty nervous (this has been a long time in the making...) but strangely looking forward to get started.

DiscoStusMoonboots · 19/04/2023 19:08

And wow @Vallef - 32!! I managed 24 and had OHSS. Hope you weren't too uncomfortable!

BiscuitLover3678 · 19/04/2023 19:10

Wow that is an impressive number of eggs! I have low amh so not sure how many I’ll get. Hopefully there are a couple of good ones in there!

Does anyone know if it’s ok to go in a steam room pre egg collection?

OP posts:
Vallef · 19/04/2023 21:54

@BiscuitLover3678 concentrate on quality rather than quantity avoid caffeine and eat right drink lots of liquids and sleep your 7/8 hours. Things you can control. Things you can't well don't waste your energy!! I know it's hard to do though.

In regards to steam I was told any high heat activities I should avoid during the whole ivf process and especially after embryo transfer so I would say maybe avoid it?

CR7 · 19/04/2023 23:08

@Vallef here here on everything you said xx

CR7 · 19/04/2023 23:09

Thanks I think I’ll avoid it! I definitely need more sleep which isn’t going so well with my older kid atm. Managed to cut down caffeine a lot but not so good with the sugar. Have my first scan in a few days so will see how its going.

@CR7 I have been taking a pill called salopir instead of inhixa so much better than getting jabbed daily! I am taking utrogestan for progesterone and it really is kicking my back side making me dizzy throughout the day!!

@BiscuitLover3678 we can only but try!! It's so frustrating because there's other women of different sizes drinking, smoking, eating what they like and everything is fine but for us with rhe ivf everything is just so much more sensitive snd we have to be so much careful :(

Vallef · 19/04/2023 23:25

@DiscoStusMoonboots it was so uncomfortable but luckily was back to normal within 10 days :) can I just ask how comes you was on provera??

CR7 · 20/04/2023 07:01

@Vallef have you had inhixia before? x

DiscoStusMoonboots · 20/04/2023 07:13

@Vallef I have PCOS, so the Provera has been used to hold off my period. I stop taking it tomorrow, then it's on the the oestrogen!

CR7 · 20/04/2023 19:50

Very interesting take on the two week wait. I've just watched whilst having my hair cut so there are subtitles if you don't have privacy xx

Would love to know what everyone thinks

@CR7 I had inhixa with round 1 and 2 but 3 and now 4 is with salospir. I find am taking alot less medication greece than I was in UK. My first cycle I was lost in a maze of pills, orally rectal jabs sorry for the visual!! Salospir is same as inhixa and its 1 pill per morning. Xx

Vallef · 20/04/2023 20:47

@DiscoStusMoonboots ow ok hun! I was taking it for womb cancer back in 2018 wasn't aware they give out for other reasons but I guess alot of pills now are doubled up for various medical issues! GOod luck be excited 😊

CR7 · 20/04/2023 21:09

@Vallef defo would have preferred a tablet xx

CHARL82 · 20/04/2023 21:16

I have started with the injections today. I came out in a rash last night and again today, think its an anxiety rash. Has anyone else experienced this?
