@countrypunk Thanks. Had my scan this morning and it looks like this round will be abandoned but waiting to hear from the clinic. Feel heartbroken but luckily my husband is home today so not spending the day alone.

countrypunk · 09/02/2023 10:12

@hollyll I'm so sorry. This process is an utter bastard. I hope you've got lots of support around you. I'm sending lots of love to you x

@BertLiv I'm sorry to hear that too. Just keep in mind that they'll use what happened this cycle to inform the next and tailor the treatment to you. I totally understand how upsetting this is though, when you just want to get on with it. Hope you've got something nice planned for the weekend (including doing nothing big that's what you want) x

@hollyll Sorry to hear about your BFN - hope you’re ok. x

@countrypunk Thank you. That’s what the nurses said today and I’m trying to stay positive. Have a call with the Medical Director on Tuesday so we’ll know the plan then. Have had a lovely quiet day with my hubby and we’re back at my parents for the weekend, which will be nice provided no one asks too much!

For anyone else who’s had an abandoned cycle - do you know if it’s possible to ovulate late after stopping the meds and get pregnant? I’m on day 13 and obviously not just about to ovulate, but I wondered whether it’s worth dtd in case I ovulate next week sometime…

laurapop · 09/02/2023 20:44

@BertLiv I'm sorry it's been abandoned. Glad you've had a nice day with your husband ❤️

laurapop · 09/02/2023 20:45

@hollyll so sorry 😭. Like others have said don't give up hope just yet x

laurapop · 09/02/2023 20:51

Sorry for the multiple messages it won't let me tag more than 1 person per message 🙄.

Does anybody know - is the progesterone/estrogen building up in our body since starting the medication or is it a steady flow? I ask because I'm having a few symptoms now and I know it says everywhere that it could be the hormones we are taking - but I didn't have any of them before the transfer? My boobs have started being sore today - kind of an aching/tender feeling! And I'm still getting the odd cramp, back pain and feel knackered (I'm 6DPT btw)

I guess it's just a waiting game but you can drive yourself mad can't you!!

How is everyone else getting along - anyone testing tomorrow?

runningismytherapy · 09/02/2023 21:16

@BertLiv sorry to hear about your cancelled cycle. With regards to ovulation and dtd, I recon definitely worth doing it! My clinic were soooo insistent that after EC and ET you use protection purely because of that risk of ovulation and natural conception and then the risk of a multiple pregnancy.

@laurapop its so hard to know isn’t it. I was initially convinced all my symptoms were progesterone. But now they’ve changed again, so it’s impossible to tell. I drive myself mad going over it all!!! xx

Frosty91 · 09/02/2023 22:45

@laurapop hey I was the same. I had no symptoms before transfer when taking progesterone or estradiol. After transfer I had major sore boobs. I also never get period pain or symptoms. So I knew the symptoms were pregnancy related and had a postive 3dpt... stay positive. Also I had no trigger injection. Currently 5 weeks pregnant x

Frosty91 · 09/02/2023 22:46

@laurapop I was out of breath, sore boobs and had lower back pain after transfer. Not related to progesterone in my case as had no symptoms before transfer when taking them... now at 5 weeks tired and nausea are the symptoms I get xx hope that helps x

Laura23FE · 10/02/2023 06:41

Hi ladies hope everyone is ok, I haven’t been on my phone/laptop much due to the headaches … oh my gosh never had headaches like it 😭 ordered a migraine cap which arrives today so hoping that helps.

I am on estradot patches for my oestrogen but run out of them this weekend, does anybody know if I need to get more or if I stop using them after the 2WW?

Vil · 10/02/2023 07:03

BFN 15dpt so were out, crushed, taking some time off mumsnet

take care and best of luck

laurapop · 10/02/2023 07:31

@Frosty91 that's really reassuring! Thank you! Hope your nausea isn't too bad 🤦🏼‍♀️

laurapop · 10/02/2023 07:34

@Laura23FE is it a frozen medicated cycle? If so, at my clinic you have to carry on taking oestrogen for 12 weeks if you get a positive result! I'm not sure what happens on a fresh one as I've never done that so best checking with your clinic ☺️. I'm about to run out too so I got them to do me another prescription

laurapop · 10/02/2023 07:34

@Vil so sorry 😭😭. Such an awful process - take care of yourself and don't give up xx

LR94 · 10/02/2023 07:49

@laurapop i’m experiencing the same thing, my boobs have been hurting since the evening of my transfer! But the four days before while i was taking the progesterone I didn’t feel that so i’m hoping thats a positive. I also have mild little twinges in my stomach and back and felt abit sick last night but i think I’m looking far into every tiny little thing.
i’m 6dp3dt today and i’ve tested negative again which is getting me down but i know its still too early really.

BertLiv · 10/02/2023 08:47

@laurapop Thanks, it made a huge difference having him home. I’m so grateful he has such a nice and understanding boss.

@Vil So sorry to hear that. Take care x

@runningismytherapy Thanks! If they say they then there must at least be a chance. Our clinic nurse said she didn’t know, but not no, so worth a try! And we’ve not dtd for what feels like ages (which is strange as it’s only 2 weeks! 🤦🏻‍♀️), so it’ll be nice to do it again - and with less pressure!!

Now just need to wait to find out the next steps. Will probably take a break from mumsnet until then but wish you all the best! x

Laura23FE · 10/02/2023 11:43

@laurapop they have done me another prescription to collect on monday as mine runout on tuesday :)

we have our viability scan on 3rd March, feels like a lifetime away!

also...do people start having baths again after the 2WW? Hate showers and just want a nice relaxing bath haha

Lucy5yearsttc · 10/02/2023 14:54

Hey @Laura23FE i feel the same! Have been wanting a bath for ages but haven’t but spoke to my clinic yday and she said as long as it’s not too hot then it’s fine. I’m 8 weeks tomo and still scared! Sure it’ll be fine x

Frosty91 · 10/02/2023 18:23

@Lucy5yearsttc 8 weeks amazing. Did you have a 6 week scan? If yes did you hear heartbeat. I have a scan next Friday. Today was my first day I vomited 🤢 been feeling nausea. I feel it more in the afternoon/ evening than morning. How you feeling x

Lucy5yearsttc · 10/02/2023 18:37

I had one at 6w2d, and they saw the heartbeats! All very emotional! I’ve not been physically sick yet but the nausea is bad now. And agree, for me it’s more afternoon/evening. Do you have any other symptoms? I’m lacking energy and willpower to do anything. And get cramping which I hate but have been told it’s normal x

JuliaIVF83 · 10/02/2023 18:48

@Lucy5yearsttc i am STARVING all the time - as in I have no off button - I think I could snack/ eat all day long. Trying to be mindful and eat lots of VEG but it is hard , I’m finding cooking meat quite challenging and I think I could easily just eat crisps and plain pasta with butter and parmesan for 9 months which I don’t think would be best for baby ! I’m also feeling so lethargic ( probably all the plain pasta I’m eating) and finding household chores a pain!

@Frosty91 - I have a 7 week scan with the clinic in a couple of weeks , I’m toying with the idea of paying for an early scan somewhere else as would love to ( fingers crossed) give the piccy to my husband on Valentine’s Day - but maybe I’ll just wait it out !

countrypunk · 10/02/2023 19:00

@Laura23FE Hope your migraines have eased up, what a horrible side effect. I haven't had a bath yet but really want one!

@Vil I'm so sorry to read your update. Totally understand you wanting to step away from mumsnet for a bit. Take care of yourself x

@Frosty91 Hope you don't suffer too much with the sickness. I haven't had any yet and kind of want some! Xx

AnnaPr1992 · 10/02/2023 19:03

Hello ladies,
I haven't been in touch for a couple of days, I have been struggling sooo much with nausea and vomiting multiple times a day
Been to the gp today and have me different anti sickness, this is the 3rd I try and hopefully will do something
I don't eat absolutely anything and today I weight myself and I have lost 1,5kg in only a week 😔
I return to work on Tuesday and Wednesday but o could barely make it so my gp gave me another sick note till 5/3

I have the first scan 6w3d on Sunday and iam dreading it

LR94 · 10/02/2023 19:04

Does anyone know if your boobs/nipples still hurt if the transfer was unsuccessful?
its the only symptom I fully have really. The odd cramps here and there but my boobs ache and my nipples are really sensitive 24/7! I’m hoping this is a good sign but wondering if I could still be getting this pain even if I'm not pregnant?
i’ve done 3 negative tests now but i’m still only 6dpt3dt.
my boobs didn’t hurt before transfer. Its honestly driving me insane waiting!

Lucy5yearsttc · 10/02/2023 19:05

@JuliaIVF83 I’m the same with eating all the time! And for me all the junk, which I don’t normally eat! I’ve never eaten so many carbs in my life but guess that’s a sign that’s needed?! Good on you for eating veg. The only bits I’m getting is on a pizza at the moment 😆
