I'm definitely feeling bloated and sore. I've taken today, Thur and Fri off work as struggling a bit trying to concentrate when feeling not like myself. Trigger tonight and EC on Fri morning. It's my first EC. Grateful to get to this point after my first cycle was cancelled but feeling v nervous 😳 good to have some cycle buddies.
@Sd183 hope you had some good news this afternoon.

Katie12444 · 29/03/2023 19:00

Hi all, those of you about to have EC, I had mine on Monday. I’ve ended taking off yesterday and today more because I’ve just been feeling very emotional and not really up to working. Also been very constipated until today (sorry if that’s TMI).

Before the trigger, if you’ve the bum one, I put an ice pack on my bum for half an hour before and barely felt it so recommend that.

We’re all in this together ❤️

@ESWill @Jupiteer very jealous of you both- I was told rescan Friday EC Monday. Getting very worried about going over-mature by then but gotta trust the experts I guess. Symptoms wise I’m starting to bruise after each injection bizarrely, and have almost a pulling sensation when I pee which I asked and is normal. Very sore boobs. And None of my trousers do up as I’m super bloated. Generally feeling down in the dumps knowing I have to get through the rest of the week and the weekend feeling like this and I’m guessing worse as I get closer to Monday. But I’m slammed at work so I’m only taking Monday off and need to be at my desk Tuesday. That’s gonna be a laugh 🥲

how are you both feeling from your trigger?

Jupiteer · 30/03/2023 09:04

@Sd183 I feel you! I stimmed for 20 days this time as my first week there was no growth and the second week the growth was slow. This was in contrast to my first cycle where things went berserk and I grew too many too fast then they cancelled it. It just shows how these meds can be a fine line. I asked about the eggs getting over mature but the nurse said don't worry about it. I suppose I will find out tomorrow!
Have you had your oestridol checked? Some clinics do and some don't.
I've had the sore boobs and pulling sensation plus sick feeling both times, only getting it now right at the end but last time it came much quicker and I think it related to oestridol going up as it corrosponded to the blood tests.
I over hyped taking the trigger in my mind but to be honest it was just a normal injection and no new side effects yet. @ESWill I hope yours went ok?
I feel the same about work, I took this week as holiday as thought EC would be a week ago so would have time to recover. But now it's tomorrow and I either need to go back on Mon or take sick leave. Will just see how I feel. I am swamped at work too so it is anxiety provoking but we have to put ourselves first. ❤❤❤

Jupiteer · 30/03/2023 09:08

Also @Katie12444 thank you for your kind words. I am already constipated so God knows how it will be next week! Hope your embryos are doing well x

laurapop · 30/03/2023 09:12

Hi everyone! I've just had my lining scan (due to have a FET next weds 5th). They want it to be 7mm at this point but they did various measurements which were between 5.5 and 7. They have referred it to the Dr who will get back to me this afternoon.

Feel a bit deflated as I've never had an issue with this so wasn't expecting anything but routine news today!!

Anyone had similar? May they just put me on a higher dose of oestrogen and monitor? I'm just worried they are going to cancel my cycle 😩😩

Katie12444 · 30/03/2023 09:17

@Jupiteer yeah it’s interesting. I think it was the anaesthetic that made me constipated so definitely stock up on fibre rich foods. It’s nearly cleared now so hopefully a few days after EC you’ll be ok.

I’ll hear back on the embryos on Saturday. The wait is killing me and I’m not holding out a great deal of hope 😔 but it only takes one!

Hi all! Just wanted to update here in case it is useful to anyone.

I had my transfer 18/03 and started testing 4dp5dt (I know....). I could already see a line with my first test and it gradually got stronger. However, I also started to experience a lot of discomfort - I am really bloated and have bad cramps/sharp pains.

I was seen today at my local EPU and everyone was absolutely lovely there! I was diagnosed with mild OHSS and they could not see anything yet. I am glad it is mild, but I do feel quite terrible - cannot sit, walk too fast or lie on my side. They have booked another scan for me next week to see how things are progressing.

anu21 · 30/03/2023 13:50

Hi all , just wanted to update that I had my beta HCG test today and it's negative..I am devastated..we have 4 embroys frozen still but they are of lower grade...will be planning the next course of action in coming weeks... Keeping my fingers crossed for those who are testing this week

GIJOJO · 30/03/2023 15:27

Hi alll! super new here (should have found this earlier!)
First time going through IVF cycle.
Had my egg retrieval on Monday and booked in for transfer on Sat morning... not sure what I feeling at the moment (totally mixed emotions). Apart from feeling REALY constipated after starting the Cyclogest! Do you know if this will ease up? or its the case of bare with it till I come off it?

Lyrabee · 30/03/2023 16:09

@GIJOJO hiya! My constipation has massively cleared now haha im not as regular as before but also not in discomfort so hopefully yours eases soon!

GIJOJO · 30/03/2023 17:03

@Lyrabee omg thank you there's light at the end of the tunnel! Lol... how long did yours last if you dont mind

MS2692 · 30/03/2023 21:38

Hi everyone! I’m due (all being well!) to have FET on 11th April, I’m going to be on x2 cyclogest pessaries am & pm but I’ve read a lot of forums and a lot of people have said they were on pessaries and more progesterone injections, does anyone know/have experience if x2 daily cyclogest pessaries are enough progesterone? Worrying as a lot of people have said their previous cycles failed and had early bleeding before OTD and believe it was due to not enough progesterone?

ESWill · 30/03/2023 22:05

@Sd183 - absolutely- we must trust the experts. It's truly amazing what all this science can do. 😊
@Jupiteer Yes trigger was fine! Was really worried that it would give me side effects, or be different, but today has been fine.
Very nervous for tomorrow's EC but I'm sure it will be fine. Just keeping the 'grateful' feeling at the forefront of my mind, to have the opportunity for this chance to have a child- pushing away any negative thoughts!
Only symptoms today are bloated belly with a slightly uncomfortable / heavy feeling, and shattered. Crossing my fingers for eggs tomorrow 🤞🏻🙏🏻
Warm regards to everyone, wherever you are in your cycles . 💛

Lyrabee · 31/03/2023 00:01

@GIJOJO hmm probably about 4 days? Maybe 5!

Stopthatnoisemummy · 31/03/2023 05:14

Good luck today @ESWill

@Lyrabee @GIJOJO it's safe to take lactulose or movicol if you're constipated- don't struggle on! Progesterone can have that affect too.

@MS2692 I've only ever had 2 x cyclogest (4 cycles in) and have never bled before OTD, only once I've stopped taking them. Everyone's protocols will differ and it'll be what is right for you.

@anu21 sorry to hear your news. 4 frosties is great - and if are good enough to freeze they are good enough to make a baby. Be kind to yourself.

@ObsidianDeck early congrats! Glad the ohss is mild, and hope you're feeling more comfortable soon.

@Katie12444 hope you're managing the wait ok, not long to go now.

@MaybeBabyTwo how are you?

BrownXeyes · 31/03/2023 07:11

@Stopthatnoisemummy how did you get on with testing? I hope you got the news you wanted x

Stopthatnoisemummy · 31/03/2023 07:38

Hi @BrownXeyes how did you get on?

I got a v faint positive on Wed, which has got stronger today which I'm taking as a good sign, but still v worried this one isn't going to stick. Lots of cramping still too.

I also got the job! Feeling v overwhelmed on both fronts.

BrownXeyes · 31/03/2023 07:45

I got 2 very strong positives on Wednesday which is amazing I’m still processing however I am now worried that it’s going to fail in the next few weeks until my early scan! The feeling is overwhelming. Aww I’m so glad you got your positive stay strong and
positive your doing fab!! And congrats on the job ! Everything will fall into place 😍

MS2692 · 31/03/2023 08:13

@Stopthatnoisemummy thank you 😊x

Stopthatnoisemummy · 31/03/2023 08:49

Amazing news @BrownXeyes have you got a date for your scan yet?

AlisonDanuta · 31/03/2023 08:49

@anu21 please do not be hard on yourself and I've heard about people having positive tests with lower quality embryos. And if those weren't good enough they wouldn't of frozen them? Do fingers crossed for your FET. keep us updated

BrownXeyes · 31/03/2023 09:02

Yes it’s the 19th April which I think will be about 6 weeks in. So I think the overwhelming feeling might stay until then! When is yours booked for?x

BrownXeyes · 31/03/2023 09:03

@Stopthatnoisemummy thank you, I've been taking lactulose, but still fairly constipated... waiting for the relief lol
