Haven't seen a thread for February cycles so if anyone is waiting to start in the next few weeks and fancies some cycle buddies ❤️

Little about me, 34yo TCC #1. Low AFC/AMH. After two disastrous NHS cycles (NE Scotland) which resulted in no transfer, we went private and are away to start our second mild IVF cycle at Create in Manchester x

@VioletCookie i am doing a freeze all, so they didn’t say! I should ask next time as hoping to do a fresh transfer after this round so be good to know if things look normal x

@LF82 how did your scan go? I'm OK, few wobbles about how many eggs we'll get and the PGT-A testing but aside from that ready to go... first injections tonight! X

@VioletCookie good luck with your first injection! I know it’s easy to say but just take it one day a time. 2nd scan was ok- 6/7 follicles at an ok size plus a handful of smaller ones that I am hoping might do a bit of growing between now and my next scan on Monday. The doctor was hopeful egg collection will be Wednesday or Thursday but will see what they say on Monday! Do you know when your first scan is? X

Hi everyone👋 hope you are all doing ok with your cycles. I started my 2nd round last Saturday , so had first scan today. LF82, Looks like we may have same egg collection day... Wed / Thurs !.how u feeling?
My Scan showed 4 follicles ( same as last time, low AMH so not expecting more) 1 follicle already at 18 mm but the other 3 are smaller between 9-11 mm. So we risk loosing the large egg by waiting for the others to catch up but will keep fingers crossed the bigger one slows down and doesn't grow too much more over next 5 days 😬Anyone else had this happen....? Xx

@Carly05 hi! I was originally on this thread but my Feb cycle was cancelled. But wanted to pop on as the same thing happened to me my first cycle (of my 3 cycle package) in November. At my first scan on Day5 I had one follicle already at 17mm! And 3 smaller. I added Cetrotide from day 5 and had a few extra doses (twice a day I'm sure) and the others caught up and the bigger one remained. They got 4 eggs at collection, and 3 made it to embryos. I actually asked at my recent scan this cycle if they thought the one that didn't make it was the big one and we'll never know but it could have been! Wishing you the best of luck. I'm now onto day7 and perhaps collection Wednesday too 🙏🏻

@LF82 thanks! Just did them. I had Bemfola last time so was worried Gonal F might feel different, luckily no issues! Inhixa still burns like crazy though 😅

When I took the Gonal F needle out I had some leakage, like a small puddle. My last collection was in June I can't remember if this is normal?!

First scan is Monday at 9:30 🤞🏼 what time is yours? I'm feeling really exhausted and overwhelmed from having to go through this again, really hope we have better luck moving forward! Xx

@Carly05 I had a very large follicle, I think it may have been too large but I can't remember the size! Best of luck to you!

@Jx303 wow your egg collections are all so close together! I'm roughly a week behind. How's your round going this time?

@VioletCookie have you got the pen style gonal f? I never look as my husband does the injection for me but am sure a drip coming out won’t cause any issues. Good luck for Monday!! Remind me are you on mild ivf? X

@LF82 yeah it's the pen 😊 My partner fainted once from pricking his finger so he's not much help.. he does bring me decaf tea after each one though 🤣 we're doing mild xx

@VioletCookie so far so good thank you! How are you getting on / feeling? My February cycle was cancelled after the first scan which was super disappointing. Then I had bloods checked and I had high prolactin (which can be caused by stress) so I didn't get to go my next cycle either. So this is 3rd month lucky! I'm pretty sure they take into consideration there can be leakage - I freaked out doing my first Cetrotide yesterday cos some came shooting up the inside of the needle cover!

Hey Jx3303! Your experience gives me some hope that the 18mm follicle may still be collected!! Every one counts when there are only 4 follicles!!! Oooh fingers crossed for all our follicles growing nicely for our scans Monday VioletCookie, LF82 and JX3303 🤞. I'm changed to gonal f for this cycle from menopur. I much prefer the pen ... I did have tiny bit of leakage on my first injection VioletCookie but count 5 secs now before I pull the needle out and seems ok. Definitely better icing the skin first!! X

@Carly05 I have low amh and afc too so I am the same, every one counts! The big one last time meant I had to have so many scans close together to keep an eye, I had 3 days in a row so this cycle has been better spaced out. I have two good sized and two smaller so hoping the smaller catch up 🤞🏻

Hey @VioletCookie thanks for checking in. I really struggled this week with nerves about the transfer and just feeling so crap and irritable on cyclogest. It's been the worst medication for me so far, like being in a perpetual state of murderous pms!

Anyway, I've just had my transfer! it was a 4AA hatching blast and genetically normal. Now it's all out of my hands.

I'm still at the clinic having an intralipid which looks like paint emulsion 😂

And then the dreaded wait! though I've been told I can test in 9 days because it was a day5/6 embryo

It sounds like a few of you are going through stims, sending you virtual hugs and good vibes x

Thank you ladies @LF82 @Carly05 I am honestly so in awe of all of us going through this. I've been so emotional and overwhelmed since I got home from the transfer, I think I've just tried to stay strong for so long and it hit me at once. I feel like when I open myself up to the hope it's like all the grief comes up too. Maybe it's just the drugs talking...I did have some Valium for the transfer which was niiiice.

@LF82 are you having your egg collection next week? How are you feeling about it?

@Carly05 how comes you changed from menopur to gonal? Is it feeling different this cycle?

@Jcl22 how are you getting on?

@browneyedgirl626 glad all went well at transfer!! You’ve described the feeling sooo well that’s exactly what I felt - been strong the whole way through then suddenly it all hit me after transfer and the weight of the possibility of a negative outcome is just so heavy! All down to nature now, got everything crossed for you!!

I feel ok thanks. I’m 8dp3dt and have been really feeling like my period is about to come any minute since Thursday 🙈😭 everytime I got to the bathroom I’m so scared to look. Not testing myself as had ovitrelle injection last Sunday so know that will still be in my system so just need to wait for beta next week but finding it tough x

Browneyeyedgirl626 there is a drug shortage of menopur so they changed me to gonal. So far it Seems to have stimulated similarly to menopur... 4 follicles. X

@browneyedgirl626 on Friday the doctor said my egg collection would hopefully be on Wednesday/Thursday but they will decide at my scan on Monday. I had some smaller follicles so am going they are catching up over the weekend! It’s all so nerve wracking isn’t it

@Jcl22 oh god the dreaded knicker checking, I hear you. It's just the suspense of it all. I didn't know that about ovitrelle staying in your system. What day is the beta booked for?

@Carly05 that's good to know it's similar to menopur, I forgot about the drug shortage. My nurse told me they wouldn't get menopur back in stock for a year or so, I think they have made another one (meriofert?) that's similar.

@LF82 it is nerve wracking. I don't think anyone goes through this experience without a lot of stress and anxiety. It pisses me off when people keep telling you to be positive. Its not natural to be kept in such a heightened and active fight or flight state for weeks and months on end. Anxiety is a perfectly normal response to a precarious situation

@browneyedgirl626 its honestly draining being so anxious every time you need the toilet 🙈 definitely the suspense it’s really tough! Yeah the clinic warned against home testing as they said ovitrelle has HCG in it and would likely show up. Beta booked for Wednesday 🤞🏼🤞🏼 I’ve convinced myself I’ll have gotten period before then though 😭
