Haven't seen a thread for February cycles so if anyone is waiting to start in the next few weeks and fancies some cycle buddies ❤️

Little about me, 34yo TCC #1. Low AFC/AMH. After two disastrous NHS cycles (NE Scotland) which resulted in no transfer, we went private and are away to start our second mild IVF cycle at Create in Manchester x

@TW6 it only takes one! Keep everything crossed for you good luck xxx

THISISIT23 · 08/02/2023 11:53

@AM08 good luck with transfer today xxx

TW6 · 08/02/2023 11:54

@THISISIT23 thank you. I'm hoping it's a smarting one and it makes it ♥️♥️ xxx

AM08 · 08/02/2023 11:58

@TW6 i’m guessing that was less than you were hoping for? I have everything crossed for you that your egg and embryo will be the just the one you need - they say it only takes one 🙏

Thank you re my transfer, really hoping it goes well as in my dummy one they spent about 30 minutes looking for my cervix as I’d drink too much water 😅

AM08 · 08/02/2023 11:59

@THISISIT23 thank you so much, did you have your transfer this week? How are you feeling after it?

THISISIT23 · 08/02/2023 12:02

@AM08 had my transfer on Wednesday felt ok after it couldn’t believe how quick it was over, the prodding on your belly is the worse when you really need to wee 😂 although the nurse showed us on the scan machine what was going on and it was amazing to see it go in ❤️ afterwards just few mild cramps and twinges in the last couple off days but that might just be the progesterone xxx

AM08 · 08/02/2023 14:26

@THISISIT23 ah just had mine an hour ago - completely get what you mean about the prodding you with a full bladder - was so weird to see it go in, nice to see but does remind you of how tiny it is.

Glad your symptoms have been mild so far, do you know roughly when you’ll test?

THISISIT23 · 08/02/2023 14:33

@AM08 they’ve told me the 19th to test but I’ve tested this morning mega early I no just to see if the trigger injection is still in my body and that was negative! So probably going to test on the 16th too see 😂

how are you feeling? Xx

AM08 · 08/02/2023 14:58

@THISISIT23 ok so it’s good that the trigger is out so hopefully you’ll get an accurate read on the 16th

I am doing ok, just a bit tired and already counting down the days to test, need to enjoy today and getting to this stage in the process

LF82 · 08/02/2023 15:12

@THISISIT23 @AM08 good luck with your TWW! I had my egg collection this morning, they got 8 eggs. Just now on that nervous wait to see if any fertilise overnight.

TW6 · 08/02/2023 15:29

@THISISIT23 well done on your transfers today.

@LF82 glad your collection went well xx

AM08 · 08/02/2023 16:33

@LF82 oh that sounds like a really good result, how are you feeling post collection? Fingers crossed for a good result tomorrow

Argh the antibiotics that ive taken for the transfer have made me feel grim - hopefully will be better tomorrow

LF82 · 08/02/2023 17:06

@AM08 am ok so far just a bit tired. So just sat on the sofa doing nothing. Fingers crossed your antibiotics don’t make you feel to bad tomorrow x

Jennie154 · 08/02/2023 18:12

Hi,

Can I join please? I had my transfer today. This will be our 4th cycle. After getting rubbish results with my own eggs we made the decision to use donor eggs. X

Lauralozzle · 08/02/2023 18:40

@LF82 8 eggs is great!

@Jennie154 Welcome. Good luck for your transfer. Hope you’re feeling ok.

AM08 · 08/02/2023 18:49

@Jennie154 were transfer day buddies - how are you feeling now?

Jennie154 · 08/02/2023 19:29

I’m not feeling too bad thanks. A bit crampy but I’ve been like that on and off for a few days due to the progesterone.

@AM08 How about you?

JustBePositive · 08/02/2023 20:41

Ahhh so excited for all of you with a transfer, fingers crossed for you all! My first scan was good, could see 8-10 follicles at 9mm to 11mm, so a bit more to go so another scan in 2 days/Friday. Hoping to get a few others bigger by then too… I’ve booked Monday off work in prep for collection but if not it will the Wednesday. So hard to plan really… all a waiting/ guessing game…

LF82 · 08/02/2023 20:44

@JustBePositive that sounds really good! Got my fingers crossed for you over the next few days

@Jennie154 welcome! Hope you are feeling ok after your transfer earlier

x

Carly05 · 08/02/2023 22:04

Hi all Iv been offline for a few weeks after failed first cycle. Been told today my eggs are likely the problem and a donor route is probably needed. Feeling very confused and sad this evening. Awaiting a counselling session.
Jennie154 ,i see you are going down the donor route. How did u find it making the decision ? My emotions are all over the place.

Purplemichelle · 08/02/2023 22:25

Hey guys, so many messages on here in just a day. Good luck to everyone in your cycles.

Quick question…I’m on day 3 of stims and have been experiencing shooting pains in both ovaries all day which are making me jump. Was so hard to disguise it earlier in a meeting in the office. My question is, has anyone experienced this so early on into stims? I will ask the clinic at my first scan on Monday but would be good to get your experiences.

Purplemichelle · 08/02/2023 22:27

@Carly05 sorry to hear this. Give yourself time to process this and definitely book the counselling session. It’s such a rollercoaster and only you know how you feel. I haven’t gone down the donor route myself but the consultant did mention after my first cycle that we should consider this.

Purplemichelle · 08/02/2023 22:29

@LF82 fab news from the collection today, rest up and hope you get some positive news tomorrow.

Carly05 · 08/02/2023 22:43

Thanks purplemichelle.
In regards to your question...I had swollen and achy ovaries and lots of bloating but no sharp jumpy pains?? Although thinking about it I did get some sharp sudden pains later on with the stims. Yes CHK with Ur clinic but guess we all respond differently. X

Purplemichelle · 08/02/2023 23:11

@Carly05 thank you. It’s been very constant all day and both sides. Maybe they have just woken up. I’m trying not to overthink things but it is painful. Very bloated already too. No chance of having loads of follicles as didn’t stim well last time and the meds haven’t changed for this cycle. Xx
