Hi ladies

Just wondering if anyone is doing a cycle in November, looking for some cycle buddies.

I started stims yesterday, this is the 3rd cycle for us (2 NHS rounds where we didn't make it to transfer either time) and now we have signed up to a private a 3 cycle package with Create in Manchester. 3 egg collections and hopefully some embryo banking before and potential transfer. X

@countrypunk omg congratulations on BFP, that's amazing news!! Fingers crossed from now until Wk6 scan, the wait doesn't get much easier lol but I hope this has given you a massive boost in confidence 😊. Try not to look for symptoms, no symptoms doesn't mean anything bad if you end up like me.

Update from me, I had my Wk12 scan today and everything is looking good, yaayyy! 😊😊. Did my blood test for the NT screening test and got a flu jab. We're just going to wait the 5 days for test to come back before sharing our news officially, but from the scan the NT fluid looked within normal range so feeling fairly confident. We celebrated with cream tea hehe. This is my 3rd pregnancy but first to reach 12wks and I send my love and well wishes to everyone in this group. Keep fighting and stay strong even through the hard times and periods of disappointment - you will get there and it'll be worth every tear and heartache. Obvs I'm still early days but it does feel like a new milestone. Will check in periodically to see how everyone is doing 😘. Love to all xx

@Cat89 Thank you, I've been freaking out tonight about symptoms (and lack of) and gripey pains / weird buzzing in my womb but you're right, I need to try and relax. What will be will be.

What a lovely update from you. I can't believe you're at 12 weeks already! (Although I'm sure you can.) Today must have been really emotional. Sending you loads of love and I hope the rest of your pregnancy is a breeze. Yes please keep us updated! Xx

Oh and a celebratory cream tea is right up my alley 😊

Manc80 · 02/02/2023 19:56

@Cat89 congratulations on 12 weeks 💗 what an amazing feeling it must be for you to reach this milestone after what you’ve been through. Sending love and excitement ahead of your big announcement!

LF82 · 02/02/2023 21:06

@Cat89 that’s lovely news! So delighted for you x

Foreverhoping33 · 02/02/2023 22:43

@Cat89 im so pleased to hear everything is going well and you have reached the 12 week scan! i hope you will be able to relax after this and enjoy the pregnancy journey, though I can understand it’s tough after two other pregnancies.

@countrypunk i hope you too can relax and enjoy this time- you are pregnant!! If I can give any advice it would be to not look into pregnancy symptoms that much. All pregnancies are different and I think the comparisons don’t help. This is the one, don’t stress and try to enjoy!

sending lots of love both!!

@HJen22 how are you getting on with your second cycle?
and @Hopewishprayer have you started a cycle with your DE yet?
I am crossing my fingers for you both that it all goes smoothly.

@Crystal88 have you any news too? I think you were waiting on your next cycle to begin, before starting again?

update from me, I’m keen to start my next cycle which will be a FET. I have a call booked with the nurse for the 15th feb for a March transfer. However today I spoke to someone who emphasised the priority to make sure mentally I’m in a good place. I have to say it was a helpful conversation as up to now all I have wanted was to start again straight away but I think now I’m going to have to think some more on whether it’s the right time for me. Hopefully I can sort everything in my head out first.

I really value this space for sure and love hearing all your journeys, especially when there is such great news to share. Sharing all my love!
xxxx

countrypunk · 02/02/2023 23:15

@Foreverhoping33 Thank you. That was such a lovely message. I've found this thread and others like it so comforting and supportive.

I think that was good advice from whoever you spoke to today. The desire to crack on with another cycle is strong, but actually the little break I had between transfers did me the world of good. I hope you're OK.

I really value hearing how everyone's doing too. Xx

Crystal88 · 03/02/2023 06:56

Update on me my cycle seem to be under control now, hopefully my feb one will be too

im going to wait although , I really want to start again until May has I have a holiday booked and I don’t want to rush things. I’m so inpatient though I keep doubting my decision

I think it would be easier to start now if I knew I had a egg in freezer just to transfer but has I only had the one I need to start again 😬 and I don’t want to rush the process xx

@countrypunk congratulations on your news xx

Hopewishprayer · 03/02/2023 10:54

@countrypunk what amazing news!! Thank you for sharing this with us, I hope that everything goes well for you 💕

countrypunk · 03/02/2023 15:30

Thank you @Hopewishprayer 💜

@Crystal88 Thank you. Fantastic that your cycle is back to normal. I think some rest and relaxation and a holiday before your next round is a great idea. Enjoy x

Skincareaddict · 04/02/2023 10:43

Hi @countrypunk congratulations on your BFP! I was a lurker on this thread and had my ivf in nov/Dec so so glad to see that this has been successful for you!

My transfer failed in December, I got my period 8dp5dt so its so reassuring and fills me with hope that there is a chance of success.

I just wanted to ask - did you change anything in terms of progesterone for this transfer?

countrypunk · 04/02/2023 11:16

@Skincareaddict Thank you 😊 we had a very similar experience then! Although my period was a bit later.

So this time I had a natural FET and my clinic didn't check my progesterone levels. All they did was scan me every couple of days after day 10, and I had to monitor my ovulation with the Clear Blue sticks, then let the clinic know when I got a surge.

I started on the progesterone supplements 4 days before my transfer. I'm taking 400mg 3 times a day. When I called the clinic to report my positive pregnancy test the nurse said I could stop taking them if I wanted to, but I'm nervous to do that. I'm a serial Googler and I've read that progesterone support up to about week 9 is advised. So I'm going to call my clinic on Monday and talk to them about that. I'll update here if that's helpful?

Best of luck with your next transfer. It's so emotionally tough and I think we're all warriors.

countrypunk · 04/02/2023 11:18

Sorry @Skincareaddict in answer to your question - no I didn't do anything different! I did the same prog pessaries and amounts for my fresh transfer.

Skincareaddict · 04/02/2023 16:02

Thank you so much for your response @countrypunk

I'm so glad it worked out for you, you're right we are warriors so it really fills my heart when one of us gets some good news!

I thought clinics carried on with progesterone support until week 12? It's so weird how there is such variation

I hope your pregnancy goes well!

countrypunk · 04/02/2023 20:05

I thought so too @Skincareaddict I've emailed my clinic so I'll come back and update with their response in case it's useful info.

Thanks so much again for your lovely good wishes. I wish you all the best too and hope you get your BFP soonest! x

countrypunk · 04/02/2023 20:08

@Skincareaddict Sorry, one more thing! When my first transfer failed, my doctor was interested in the spotting I had before my period came. She thought it might be a sign of low progesterone. I'm sure you've had that conversation with your clinic - just wanted to flag.

LF82 · 06/02/2023 10:53

Morning all, hope everyone is well. Could those of you who have had egg collection in the past help me with a question please?

my egg collection is in for Wednesday at 9am. Would I be best having a whole day off work or do you think I could work (from home- basically on a computer) in the afternoon so only have the morning off work?

thanks in advance!

FullofFaith · 06/02/2023 10:56

@LF82 Good Morning
I was told to have the day off due to the anaesthetic. Booked for 7:30 am but no guarantee on the time as they class it as day surgery. You need to pass urine etc before being discharged which may delay things. Wishing you all the best for Wednesday x

countrypunk · 06/02/2023 11:04

@LF82 I would have the full day and that's what my clinic told me to do. I was woozy and a bit sore when I got home and slept most of the afternoon.

Best of luck and take it easy! Xx

LF82 · 06/02/2023 12:00

@FullofFaith @countrypunk - thank you both! So helpful. Just keeping my fingers crossed that all goes ok on the day

Cat89 · 06/02/2023 22:07

@LF82 Take the day off love. In fact, they make you sign paperwork that you won't make any big decisions or sign any legal documents etc because you've received sedation that day. I think they actually advise taking the next day off too, but I could have worked next day if I wanted to as physically was fine x

@Crystal88 that's great news!! Whatever you decide, you'll have a clear plan now to look forward to. 🙂

LF82 · 06/02/2023 22:17

Thanks @Cat89 x

Crystal88 · 09/02/2023 06:23

Hey all just checking how everyone is doing

i went out weekend and got a bit tipsy first time since failed cycle, it was nice to let go as I don’t think when it failed I allowed myself to accept it I just blocked it out

so it was just what I needed xx

Crystal88 · 18/02/2023 20:36

hows everyone doing xx

Foreverhoping33 · 19/02/2023 07:47

@Crystal88 hello! I’m good over here. How are you?

My update: I have had my call with the nurse to talk about doing a FET so now just waiting on my period to arrive to get started.

I have to have a baseline scan days 1-3 if I want to do FET next cycle, or days 18-25 for the cycle after. As I had a D&C though I have no idea what day I’m on and period is already about a week later than I thought it would be. Typical it’s always late when you want it to arrive and on time or early when you don’t want it.

im going away for a long weekend from Wednesday evening till Sunday so just keeping my fingers crossed period either arrives tomorrow or holds of till next week so I don’t miss baseline scan for this cycle. I know it would only be a month delay but i just want to get started again.

@countrypunk have you had your scan yet? Was everything ok?

countrypunk · 19/02/2023 08:48

Hello everyone!

@Foreverhoping33 Scan is on Tuesday morning. I'm nervous. I'll come back and update afterwards... 😬

Will you be doing a medicated FET or a natural? I did a natural FET for this cycle so if you have any questions about that, shout!

@Crystal88 How are you doing? Xx

Hope everyone else is well. Thinking of @Jx3303 - I think you must have had a transfer by now?
