Egg Collection in October 2022

Hi all,

I was waiting for Buserelin to return, now that it has I have the green light to start treatment. I am due to have a scan on Friday to get the all clear to start Norethisterone.

My collection will be early October.

Round 2.0 for me… be good to chat through with others as a part of the journey!

@badassmum22 amazing, I had my baseline scan today too! I haven’t been given the official date for collection, they expect it’ll be that same week though. I have a huge AFC though!

@IVFGotThis05 great news that you’re already down regging. How long are you needing to down reg before collection?

@badassmum22 thanks! Sorry, I meant AFC - antral follicle count. AF is almost done… it’s being the gift that keeps on giving at the moment 😂

First injection was done this evening 🥰

This would be my second ivf.. Had my baseline scan today.. changes in medication this time .. will be starting stim inj next week ( clomid, gonal f and meriofert)

my ovaries dint respond well last time even after being on highest dose and got only 3 eggs and ended with 1 blastocyst which was transferred but failed to implant. That’s why a different protocol with slight medication change is being tried. Let’s see how things proceed. Hoping to get more eggs and blastocyst this time.

Hi guys, I had my baseline scan and bloods yesterday. I haven't got as many follicles this time as I had in May, but they have said it's nothing to worry about. Last time I have 14 and 13 but this cycle they only can see 8 and 5. I was a bit worried but I've just got to keep these positive vibes! I'm starting my stims today though which is exciting!! 🥳🥳 x roll on October! X

@Lizzie989 hey! I always try to remind myself what it’s quality over quantity and that they could be the most perfect follicles. See how things go with follicle tracking. I am certainly keeping everything crossed for you.

Congrats on starting stims. I’m day 4 today… it’s going by so fast!!

Best wishes to u . What medications are you on for stimulation? I have been given gonal f, meriofert and clomid this time. Will be starting stim next week mostly.

@Lizzie989 I am just on my way to my day 6 follicle tracking scan now. I am excited and nervous to see what’s happening in there!

Appointment went well, biggest follicles are 10mm at the moment. I have 34 on the left and 36 on the right. I am back Wednesday for the next scan to see if I’ve got any 12mm + follicles to start down regs.

I’m very tired today, feeling a lot of activity already in them ovaries!!

I’m sure it’ll be a freeze all for me, I was really hoping for a fresh this cycle too 😫

Oh, that’s no good! What’s causing you to feel all out of sorts?

I’ve felt the bloat this afternoon too! Sorry you’re feeling under the weather. Is it because of the stims, or a cold type feeling? I hope you’re feeling better soon!

Hello Octobers! Almost there now 🙌 My collection went ahead and thankfully all went very well. I have low AMH and AFC counts so had low expectations. I was delighted to get 7 fertilised eggs, 5 of which made it to blastocysts. I was probably a bit naive going into the egg collection, didn't have much pain after and did too much.. queue two days in bed with hot water bottles and panadol. Hope it all goes well for you all and make sure to drink loads of water the days after!

Ah that's fantastic news !! Congratulations on 5 blasts!!! 😊What does this mean for you now.. freeze or have you had transfer?

My egg collection is 26th October so still quite a wait to go !

Oh wow @IVFGotThis05 a bit to go so! Hopefully it's flying for you and not too tough. I feel like I got off very easily with less than 2 weeks of injections and nothing else apart from the pessaries.

We transferred one so keeping fingers crossed but trying to be realistic🤞 It's good to just get past some of these milestones after two years of not knowing if anything was happening/could happen.
