@Dobcaty the medication isn’t just for ivf it’s used for prostrate cancer as well. 🙁
Can it be shipped from your clinic over there?
The alternative might be more expensive like a leuprorelin depot.
I wasn’t even offered a different protocol 😂 I’m just like yeh sure I will take these drugs and come in for scans 😂
these hormones are making me crazy thirsty I drank 3 pints before bed then another 2 during the night. Started 2 days ago it’s really annoying.

@Dobcaty will look at medichecks in the future if I need more hormone tests. Not bad for getting a progression beta test if I felt like I was freaking out if I ever got pregnant for £62 peace of mind.

I feel the same I have my scan 30th August! Collected 4 weeks of progesterone today so I'll hopefully get there, then my 12 week scan will be around the 21st September! I'll relax mid Nov after the 20 week scan- just going to try get to these milestones one at a time. Where did you find out about private bloods please- my clinic doesn't do them? I want a Beta done.

@Dobcaty there doesn't seem to be a shortage in Wales is there somewhere here you can try and I can post to you?
Long protocol worked for me short didn't.

Oh I didn't know they use this for cancer treatment too...even worst situation :(

DH just told to be patient😅 and he is right I cannot do anything just to be hopeful that I will get some luck again (same with my tests result waiting time)
Tomorrow is another day and I try to focus that I still have the chance to start. 🤞

Turns out I don’t have any spare tests in the house apart from the ‘official’ test so I can’t sneak test🤦‍♀️ Poor forward planning. However on the upside Amazon have FRER tests 2 for £6.97 which I think is the cheapest I’ve ever paid for them on there so just stocked up/bulk bought! 😂

@PMAmostofthetime Ah that’s exciting 🥰 I need to call and book mine this morning! I think most clinics abroad do it, I have to repeat the test in two days to makesure my HCG is rising as it should! Yeah that’s a good way to look at things, I’m trying to do the same and just get through each milestone! Have your symptoms changed? I’ve still not really got any! Boobs feel a tad bruised at the sides if I push them, and sometimes a few mild period cramps at night! X

@Hopefortansy85 I bought 3 x 2 from Amazon and 2x2 from boots as they are £7.80 there and I couldn't wait for Amazon even though they were prime 🤣🙈
My clinic didn't give me an official test just said test on this date and that was it.

@LKSF my boobs are sore but not as sore as 1st week of 2ww.
I'm snappy and tired but again think that's all progesterone.
I have pains on my right side-
Clinic said that's my ovaries aggravated by the hormones after what they went through and should settle.
Still can't stomach chicken but I've never been a huge meat eater. So having to supplement my diet with other protein.

@Dobcaty back to work today and it's really busy atm so hoping it will take my mind off the little Poppy Seed growing ( that's how big it is right now) and the next 4 weeks will fly by.
No one know except OH who started to get excited yesterday and you guys.

@PMAmostofthetime have to show you this, it makes me laugh every time I go to the loo… this is my official test, not only did they have to put the date on…. But it’s highlighted.
Now is that to either..
A. To draw my attention to the fact I’m testing early, if I open it (and shame me) or B. To alert me to a date I’ve been waiting nearly 2 weeks for, so I don’t forget?!

Im so thirsty did anyone get serious thirst from the hormones?

I'm still really thirty- I've switched to drinking water or squash no tea or fizzy drinks. I even wake to drink on the night.

I used to be a really bad fizzy drink, drinker and water never went near me x

@Dobcaty im ok thanks 🙏🏻 I’ve booked my 8week midwife appointment but waiting to hear back on my scan as she doesn’t know if they’re able to do a 6weeks one(because I had ivf with an abroad clinic) so might have to do a private one!! Sorry I think I missed quite a few messages yesterday….so you were waiting for AF to arrive and now you can start the process for FET? Is that right? X

@PMAmostofthetime @LKSF lets hope the thirst is a good sign! I literally finish a drink and want another. I’m 6dp5dt getting a bit of an ache like my AF is coming which is a bit unnerving but not really cramps.
You two are terrible, the wrath of my husband if I pee on it is too high 🤣 I will get the face of disappointment and I can’t cope with that.

@Hopefortansy85 Feeing so positive for you! Good thing about waiting to OTD though is that you don’t have as long to wait after you get that positive!! You can tell the clinic straight away and a few less days to wait for scans etc x

@Dobcaty sorry it was you asking. I’m getting all my threats mixed up, I’m 6dp5dt. So if I was going to test it should show up light by now I guess?! I did find a cheap test this morning, I was going to do it but I was thinking it’s probably only sensitive enough to get a positive in the second trimester it’s that cheap. And I’ve been drinking so much water especially at night my pee is practically clear in the morning . I always test better later on in the day. So I might use it when I get in from work, but I don’t want it to be that bad it gives me a fake line.

@PMAmostofthetime poppy seed, actually thats my favourite seeds. My grandma used to have huge fields of poppies (our nation use it a lot) and lots of good memories from my childhood.

@LKSF hope you get your scan booked soon and can get clarification if you need to have a private for it. My af arrived yesterday, wohoo, but very heavy this time and lots of fresh blood (sorry tmi) I think this is my proper first af since the mc. So happy to grow a fresh juicy lining for the transfer (if it happens)

So I had the call from the embrologyst this afternoon. They are happy to proceed the FET and agreed we are going to transfer only 1 as they are excellent qualities (she said) Both 4AA. So now still on the wait from the nurse to book my appointments, I'm going to wait until Thursday and if I don't hear by then I make the call. I understand that we might need to cancel bc of the Suprecur (Buserelin) shortage, but I will ask a prescription for it (a paper one) so I can call around in the big cities (even Wales not far from us) and find the dosage. (Positive thinking ✔️)
So I'm having my last alcoholic drink tonight 🍸🍸 and strict diet from tomorrow (I put 7,5kg on since January 🫣)

Bloods came back and clinic said progesterone and HCG were excellent so just gotta and have them re-tested on Thursday now and hopefully my HCG has risen as expected 🤞🏼 X

@Dobcaty i did test with the cheap one.. 🫣there was something but I’m not sure if it’s a line or shit test dye 🤣but I want to test with a FRER test I want to be sure sure as I’ve done one of those tests before and thought I was pregnant and it was just a rubbish test.

@LKSF exciting news about linking with midwife. I can't do that until after 30th Aug after my scan- I'll be 9 weeks then. Seems as technically I'm 5 weeks tomorrow.

@Hopefortansy85 try and hold out i tested 9dp5dt and got a positive but then I panicked every day until OTD which was 14dp5dt. Today is the first day I've not tested since then. Told myself once a week.

@Dobcaty great news on the embroyo grading- and yes they had no issues getting it for me in Wales so I think a prescription is a good shout.

@PMAmostofthetime well my midwife appointment will be at 8weeks and my scan at 6.
I went to ‘same day doctor’ in Harley street, London for mine, it was quite pricey but they sent me the results like 3hrs later!! Google it though, maybe there will be some closer in your area x
