Anybody having FET July or August?

Just waiting for my next cycle to start after a freeze all cycle. It should've been here last week but seems to be delayed so I feel like it's just a ticking clock. This will be my first FET, first ever transfer actually.

Anybody else in the same boat and want to keep me company?

@Roobles79 glad to hear you're resting. I'm working from home today so just resting in bed too whilst trying to catch up on all the work I've been neglecting! Not sure what to do to be honest. If it gets heavier I think I will ring my local EPU. Similarly if it continues tomorrow.

Roobles79 · 15/08/2022 12:36

@WildSheep definitely rest up is there anyone you can tell at work? Can you ring your clinic or is it epu now? I've asked the nurses at my clinic to ring me back. Just trying to get used to the idea that this one may not have worked as it doesn't feel right. Hope Yr okay. Try not to worry about work.

Roobles79 · 15/08/2022 13:30

Can't get through to my clinic, bleeding has tailed off but not completely. Still cramping. How are you @wildsheep? @parkerh1 did they diagnose anything at your scan for the bleeding could they see anything that may have caused it? It's so worrying. Just want to know either way. I did another test and it's strong positive but that doesn't really mean much!

WildSheep · 15/08/2022 13:56

@Roobles79 technically I'm still under the care of the NHS clinic but they're extremely laid back so thought ringing the EPU might result in an early scan potentially. At the moment I'm resting and keeping my fingers crossed. If it gets heavier/redder/cramps get more painful I'll see which clinic I can get through to first. Everywhere seems so thin on the ground at the moment in terms of staffing. Good that you've still got a strong positive. I haven't tested since last weekend when I got my 3+ weeks on a CB digital, and I'm a bit too scared to now tbh.

Hopefully they ring you back and glad to hear the bleeding has tailed off a bit. It is lunchtime so maybe you'll get a ring this afternoon.

Roobles79 · 15/08/2022 15:15

@wildsheep it's awful that staffing is so think on the ground. I'm still waiting on a call back but just had another big bleed when I went to the loo, and there were a few clots so i'm not hopeful at all. It feels like the bleed I had last Sunday was the start of it and then it tailed off, then my body is properly letting go of it now, because of the clots. Who knows. Such a mental roller-coaster. I have my fingers crossed for you that you can get a response soon and the spotting is explained x

Morning all, just to update I had more bleeding yesterday like a proper period which tailed off when I took the progesterone. I know my little embryo has gone now with the amount of blood I've lost and I think I saw a little bean on my pad. It made me fall apart.

My clinic have asked me to come in for a blood test this morning. I am hoping I don't have a lot of pain or too heavy bleeding, does anyone know how long it lasts and what I can expect? Feeling quite devastated but I was lucky on the first go and it wasn't my time this go, I guess it will take me a while to come to terms with it. Some embryos don't work right? It's nothing I could have done, or down to the stress I've been under lately? Partner is really upset. Just feels such a cruel process and a complete head mess.

How is everyone else doing? xx

ParkerH1 · 16/08/2022 13:46

Scan showed all was OK but i coild have one of those pregnancy where i bleed throughout but saying that I woke up this morning with pain in my lower stomach which woke me and bleeding I'm waiting for midwife to ring me they said I may have to go in for a scan or see how I am in few days head is mashed its happening alot. I've took rest of day off work as it's v painful.

Glitterandunicorns · 16/08/2022 15:47

@Roobles79 I'm so sorry. There are no words and it's just horrific isn't it.
If I remember right, you were about six weeks weren't you? I've had two losses at that gestation. Both were just a little heavier than a normal period for me (both of those were not assisted conception if that makes any difference) and the pain was about the same as a normal period for me.

Please don't blame yourself. Nothing you did or didn't do caused this. Stress didn't cause this either. I've found it comforting during my losses and unsuccessful fertility treatment to remember that if it didn't work out, it's because there was a problem with the cells or the chromosomes. It's nothing you've done wrong.

Be kind to yourself. Flowers

Glitterandunicorns · 16/08/2022 15:50

@ParkerH1 I'm sorry you're in pain. I know it is so scary when you have bleeding isn't it. I really hope you're able to get some answers soon. Good idea to take time off work and try to rest up as much as you can.

Glitterandunicorns · 16/08/2022 15:57

Little update: today I'm 7dp5dt. It was a FET so no HCG trigger or anything.

I've had cramping spotting (red and brown) off and on for about four days.

I was already on Lubion plus 2 x Cyclogest so my clinic asked me to take an extra Cyclogest each day. I've had some spotting since then but just seems to be mostly when I first get up in the morning.

First thing this morning I did a cheap test. There was nothing. At about lunchtime I did another one and saw this. I know it is super faint. This is the closest I've come to a positive in about four years since my last MC.

I've not told my husband yet as he's at work and tbh I don't really want to until it looks a bit more hopeful. I don't want to upset him. My clinic said that it's still super early and not to worry (OTD is Thursday) so at least we'll get an answer soon one way or another.

Anybody having FET July or August?
Katerina79 · 16/08/2022 17:52

I'm 7 weeks via FET and just noticed light spotting after having tummy ache few hours ... can it still be OK??
Had confirmed heartbeat last week at 6 weeks scan
Thinking ill call clinic in morning
Hopefully stays light

Gracie2021 · 16/08/2022 21:21

@Katerina79 a good idea to call the clinic just to be sure. Plenty of people have spotting and apparently no issue but just to be sure good to get it checked.

@Glitterandunicorns do you have any FRER tests. I found them the best and clearest. Fingers crossed for you.

@Roobles79 I'm so so sorry for your loss. The one thing I know is that this is nothing to do with anything that you did or did not do. Our doctor always says after transfer that that's it. Everything from here on out is completely out of our control. You did everything you could!!!

@ParkerH1 glad the scan was ok but good that you can take a day or two off work and just mind yourself a bit xx

Agapanthus13 · 16/08/2022 22:13

@Roobles79 I’m so sad to read this. How are you doing this evening? Did you manage to get in for a blood test? Any insight from the nurses. I know so many who bleed only to go on to have a healthy pregnancy, desperately hoping you’ll be one of them xx
but either way, please, don’t blame yourself for things you did / didn’t do. My dr always says each transfer is 50% luck, and each transfer they learn something new. Thinking of you lots x

Roobles79 · 17/08/2022 07:04

Thank you everyone your messages really do help. I've had a blood test, results today. Just be good to have confirmation so I can stop the meds. All the best to everyone on this roller-coaster ride. You ladies are all amazingly brave and strong. X

Glitterandunicorns · 17/08/2022 08:59

@Roobles79 that's good that you'll get confirmation today. I'm thinking of you.

I'm in much the same position. My blood test is tomorrow and I just want to get the confirmation as I don't feel I can properly grieve and move on until that is done.

Roobles79 · 17/08/2022 10:32

@glitterandunicorns sending strength your way. Hope you are able to look after yourself a bit today. Hope you are okay too @Katerina79 and @parkerh1

Katerina79 · 17/08/2022 10:39

Thanks peeps
Awaiting call back
No further blood over night so maybe it was just the old brown stuff clearing out

Roobles79 · 17/08/2022 11:46

Blood results back hcg levels high so I've got a scan Friday at epu. What the hell is going on.

Glitterandunicorns · 17/08/2022 12:27

@Roobles79 wow! That's great that you have some hope, and that you only have a couple of days before you hopefully get some answers. Take care of yourself and do what you need to until then.

Glitterandunicorns · 17/08/2022 12:28

@Katerina79 that's great that you've had no further bleeding overnight. Fingers crossed your clinic can shed some light on it and it was just old blood.

Roobles79 · 17/08/2022 13:07

@glitterandunicorns thanks. I am so confused. It must be gone I really can't see how that much blood could have gone and it still survive. Also, all my symptoms have gone I don't feel pregnant at all. How are you doing? X

Glitterandunicorns · 17/08/2022 15:25

@Roobles79
Fingers crossed you'll be one of those folks who had random bleeding but it works out fine for you. It's a great sign that you've got high HCG levels.

I'm ok thanks. I've had no bleeding for a few days (I suspect that increasing the Cyclogest has stopped it).

I've got my blood test tomorrow but have had such mega faint lines along with the earlier bleeding and occasional bad cramps (today is 8dp5dt) that I can't imagine it'll be good news tomorrow.

I've ordered a couple of FRER for tomorrow morning before my blood test (I only had cheap tests in the house to use before) as I'd rather know myself for def than have a nurse tell me.

I'm trying to distract myself with some nice gentle detective programmes and lots of biscuits until then!

Roobles79 · 17/08/2022 23:11

@glitterandunicorns will be thinking of you. Good idea to distract yourself. I've gone sick from work for rest of the week and can't stop googling x

Roobles79 · 18/08/2022 09:41

How is everyone?

More cramps today, no more blood... Yet. Just want to know what is going on. I feel like the scan will show a stopped heartbeat or an empty sac, because that may explain the high hcg level. Has anyone had a similar experience or people that you know?

WildSheep · 18/08/2022 10:52

@Roobles79 No experience but I'm sure someone will come along and share. Did your clinic mention the possibility of a subchorionic hematoma at all? I've read quite a few people have them around the 6/7 week mark and they're relatively common in IVF pregnancies. Not long until your scan at least although I'm sure the minutes are dragging by!
