Hi

I am just wondering if anyone is currently with Newcastle fertility Clinic for IVF? I think I would just like to hear if someone is having a similar experience to me and how you are finding it :)

@MitoMam I am so sorry this is happening 😢 Sending you lots of love. X

@Raizelrea and @MitoMam I am so sorry to hear your news. When you have been through so much, and the whole IVF situation you just wish that it would be straightforward and work, life can be cruel.
Thinking of you both ❤️

User491 · 25/10/2022 14:05

@Farmersweeklyreader sorry I missed you off, so pleased the scan went well ☺️ I bet it is so nerve wracking leaving the clinic for a midwife! Hope you are doing well!

I actually meant to ask a question, was everyone on the longer protocol here? I got a page with all my appointments on and when injections etc will start and it seems to be just over 5 weeks from start my first injections to the egg collection date; i wasn't sure if that's normal or not.
Our issue is to do with my husbands sperm, everything seems ok With myself so far.
We do have an appointment next week, but it was just to get an idea before then 😊

@User491 Pretty sure mine was exactly that length. We had no known issues and were told we were on long protocol.

I was mainly fine on all the drugs. Things didn't really get serious until EC!

Wishing you all the luck xx

Raizelrea · 25/10/2022 20:23

@User491 Thank you for your kind words ❤️ Yes the protocol timeline sounds about right, I think it was around 3 and a half weeks of buserelin, then a week and a half of menopur, then egg collection - must be their standard. I really didn't get on with the buserelin much, I felt weepy all the time. Menopur was ok though. Fingers crossed the medication is ok for you! When do you start?

MitoMam · 25/10/2022 20:38

Thank you all for your kind words. Good luck to you all.

Oh @MitoMam I'm so sorry you're going through this 😟💐

@Farmersweeklyreader Congratulations on your scan seeing your baby and being signed off from the clinic! Your booking appointment won't be too far away!

I have egg collection scheduled for Friday; I got the go ahead at my scan today so that's a relief after a few extra days of stims!

How is everyone getting on?

User491 · 02/11/2022 08:03

Morning everyone, hope you are all ok?

Ive had my consent appointment and another scan, all looking fine with me so far, and got my meds too 😱 start the end of November and egg collection is first week in January all being well.
It really hit home with me, the reality of it all, it's pretty scary isn't it 🤣

How's everyone else getting on?

IVFGotThis05 · 03/11/2022 11:01

@User491 Aw I'm glad your finally getting started! It is a little scary but exciting too! 😊

I had transfer yesterday, 1 early blast in there. My other 4 embryos seemed to have stopped growing after my day 3 update so nothing for the freezer this time 😞

Maybe this is my lucky 1, who knows. Trying my hardest to stay positive!

@User491 it is pretty scary but exciting too. When I started my treatment I was just relieved that at last something was happening to hopefully move the ttc journey forward. Not too long now till you start your meds. 🙂

Farmersweeklyreader · 03/11/2022 13:54

@IVFGotThis05 glad your transfer went well. It only takes one, I’ll keep all fingers & toes crossed that this is the one 🤞good luck. X

Hey, i started my IVF cycle in September and tested positive in October. However at my 7 week scan we were told we would miscarry and had a few repeat scans which showed the embryo is not developing correctly so we're currently waiting for it to happen. I have frozen embryo from my cycle and hoping to do a FET next year. Anyone who has had a FET at the newcastle clinic what is their standard protocol? And which meds did you take? Thank you

User491 · 28/11/2022 11:53

Hi everyone, how are you all getting on?

I started my buserlin yesterday 🥳
Was expecting it to hurt, but I was ok and did it myself too, think it will make it easier going forward.
What time of the day did everyone else do them at please?

User491 · 28/11/2022 11:54

@Cookiechoc so sorry to read that, I hope you are ok?

MitoMam · 02/12/2022 14:10

@Cookiechoc sorry to hear about your miscarriage.

I had a chemical pregnancy in October and will be going for my first FET in the new year. They gave me the option of natural or medicated cycle. With the natural cycle I would need to monitor my ovulation and I think they would implant the embryo when the ovulation sticks say I am ovulating. With the medicated cycle I would start oestrogen tablets on the first day of my period and then have regular scans and take progesterone pessaries and they said they would give me lubion injections as well as my first transfer failed. I've still got a few questions I need to ask to clarify once I've decided which route I want to take. They hope I will be able to do my FET in January or February but I know there will be a backlog with them being closed in December.

User491 · 03/01/2023 17:26

Happy new year everyone.

How are you all getting on? I was in today for a check up scan and go for egg collection on Thursday 😱

All becoming very real now haha!
