Hi,

I'm just starting this thread as i've kept joining previous ones in hope that I would be at the same time but got left behind with the ups and downs of ivf.
After 3 cycles, 2 failed fresh transfers, PGT-A testing to give us 3 euploid embryos and just now getting our results from the ALICE/EMMA/ERA tests, I am now finally in a position to hopefully start FET on my next cycle with a transfer likely to be end of May or early June!! 😍. Would love to have people to chat to who are following a similar timeline.

@SamTTC @Dobcaty

My original time line was start stims today scans next Mon and Wed and proposed EC for 11th depending on my response. However as AF only showed up yesterday afternoon I have to wait and see what the clinic says when they call back x

Herewegoagain881 · 27/06/2022 14:10

@Dobcaty I've also had some spotting mid cycle which I'm guessing is around the time I ovulate. It only started after having my ds. Does yours carry on until your period? Mine just lasted a day or two then stops. It's a strange discharge, not like normal spotting. Wish I knew what it was!

Hopefortansy85 · 27/06/2022 17:22

Hello, I think I’m a bit late to this I’m not very good at this forum thing, I’ve had my first FET today.
Im 36 coming up 37, no prior children, husband is 55 had a vasectomy reversal after 20 years, went from 7mil to 20mil sperm count by lifestyle changes losing weight 2st, not drinking etc. I’ve lost 3st. however he had poor motility.
we have had our first round I had small ovary’s and AMH of 11.
I got 8 eggs from 10 follicles and all mature 6 fertilised and 6made it to day 5 (today)
one AA (they have used) three AB one BB and one CC they said they can freeze all of them.
We were shocked by the results and the embryologist was really happy. I told my husband it’s all the vitamins we have been having! Rattling with them!
is anyone else starting their two week wait now?

Reefy · 27/06/2022 18:16

@Hopefortansy85 congratulations of being PUPO! That's a great result! May I ask what vitamins you were both using? Sending lots of sticky baby dust your way!

Dobcaty · 27/06/2022 19:15

@Hopefortansy85 congratulations for being PUPO, and of course those for in the freezer, very good result. when os your OTD?

@Herewegoagain881 I usually start to spot after 2 days O for 2-3 days then stops and starts again 4-5 days before af. This time since 1dpo so it's been a week now, however this is different in texture (sorry tmi) but could be because of the miscarriage earlier this month. I've saved all the 'lovely' picture for tomorrow's review 😅. As I've been off today, my best friend, Dr.Google found me again, and I read that (the spotting) can be from polyp (or cancer -of course-which I know I don't have) or breakthrough bleeding from the cyst (and of course thousand of other things). Both can be caused by the extra hormones (from IUI/IVF medicines) and all of the spotting started around my first IUI. I will ask this tomorrow.

I'm currently having a big glass of wine on our garden terrace in the freezing cold 🥶 it's summer, isn't it? Please tell me summer is coming back soon! Hope you all have some relaxing evening and I will report back tomorrow with our latest update xx

Hopefortansy85 · 27/06/2022 19:45

Hello, many thanks for you well wishes.
I had to look up all the acronyms everybody uses 😂 that’s how new I am to this.
my husband used proxeed one sachet a day and wellman fertility, one a day ( the proxeed is expensive so we cut it to one sachet rather than recommended 2 sachets as it was our first try)
I have been having pergnacare, a month before I took 300mg coenzyme q10 up to egg collection (you should really take it 3 months ahead) , not after as it’s not good after. I take a combined choline and inositol. I also made sure I had 2 eggs a day lots of women lack choline and it’s good for you your eggs and baby growing.
That’s all we used and I bought at cheaper places to get most of them so it was maybe another £80 in total but most of that was proxeed.

Hopefortansy85 · 27/06/2022 19:47

Test is on 8th and we are on holiday in our caravan, so it will be an unglamorous portapotti pee on a stick.

PMAmostofthetime · 27/06/2022 20:01

@Hopefortansy85 That's amazing results! So many Frosties too Congratulations on being PUPO!

I recommend you wee in a cup over the portapotti if you or miss you'll kick yourself or if the test is inconclusive. Wee in a plastic throw away cup and then you can use it for as many tests as you need x

Hopefortansy85 · 27/06/2022 20:14

Yes I’ve already told my husband I’m packing a pee cup 😂 the clinic gave me one test… a clear blue.. I’m clearly going to go and buy 4 more 😂.
i put FET in my first post but we had a fresh transfer I’m just rubbish at acronyms!!
i think we are quite excited and relieved to have 5 in the freezer and we paid a bit extra for a second cycle so the whole thing we have just taken the pressure off ourselves. I’ve been in quite good spirits and hopefully we get to 3 months and beyond but I’m a realist which has help to keep us in good spirits.
the embryologist is sending me pics of our other eggs so I can show my husband. ( She showed me, it was really interesting you could see all the cells and how they are different from the ones not fertilised)

Herewegoagain881 · 28/06/2022 08:38

@Dobcaty I hope they can give you some answers! Haha yeah the things that the doctors/nurses must see and hear! I've been sending so many tmi emails to my doctor lately 🤣

@Hopefortansy85 that's a fantastic result! Congratulations on being PUPO! 🤞

LT103 · 28/06/2022 23:28

Thank you everyone who asked. We were at EPU today for bloods and scan and back in tomorrow for an MVA under local and gas and air. I’m not going to lie I’m terrified. They warned there’s a risk if things are too small on the scan tomorrow they’ll cancel it and go for medical management instead which I really didn’t want so hoping it all goes ok and I cope ok with the pain on just gas and air. We got a lovely letter from our consultant so once this is over we’ll organise our review appointment then I think will probably be august or September til we have another transfer. Our consultant said it’s a good sign that we got pregnant and hopefully means a good chance for down line with one of our remaining embryos. Just been one of these things unfortunately. I’ve taken the rest of the week off work so I can just rest up.

sorry I’ve been a bit rubbish at catching up with everyone’s updates so I hope everyone is doing well.

Hopefortansy85 · 29/06/2022 10:34

Many thanks, I’m starting to wonder if it’s worked though I’m not feeling any differently really. I’m not sure how I’m meant to feel, I bit tired, slight back ache. But I think it’s just the progesterone. I see why people hate the two week wait, I don’t feel any different. But I still have our other embryos waiting for us.

Hopefortansy85 · 29/06/2022 10:43

@Herewegoagain881
ive just realised that you have to put the persons name into reply! I’m totally new to this so had no clue how you reply, I’ve just been clicking the reply button! I’ve replayed in the main thread.

Herewegoagain881 · 29/06/2022 12:15

@Hopefortansy85 I think the first time I was pregnant with IVF I didn't have any symptoms until after I tested positive, and I think I waited until at least day 9 after transfer to test. The next 2 times I recognised symptoms early (tiredness and a bit of nausea) but I think those are also side effects of the meds (I'm on lots of meds during IVF) so it was hard to tell for sure! I guess plenty of people don't know they're pregnant until they miss their period so it's normal not to feel pregnant yet. When's your test date?

Hopefortansy85 · 29/06/2022 13:05

@Herewegoagain881
in sorry to hear you have to take lots of meds, it must be tough on you mentally and on your body. I was lucky I just had to stim for 2 extra days. And didn’t find any of it too bad, I didn’t mind the injections after I realised you were meant to jab them rather than do them slowly ( I’m an idiot) I found ice pack after the jabs stopped any bruising.
thats reassuring to know about no symptoms, I guess if there was hGC starting it will only be very low I only had my transfer on Monday. So my symptoms would just be the progesterone anyway. Test is on the 8th. We are away on holiday so we get the rest of the holiday to relax either way on the result. The one thing the clinic didn’t say was if it’s negative on test day, do you test again in a couple of days incase your hGC has increased and it was missed or is a negative on test day a certainty you aren’t pregnant?

Herewegoagain881 · 29/06/2022 21:10

@Hopefortansy85 that's great, I actually didn't know we were supposed to jab them in 😂 I will try that next time. I never really minded the jabs until my last round, they upped my progesterone dose as my body wasn't absorbing it so well, I ended up having to have 3-4 injections a day 🤦🏻‍♀️ (they over-medicate..)

In my NHS clinic, they just gave me a test date and I just did a urine test on that date. It was negative and I wasn't asked to repeat it. I was already spotting anyway so I knew it didn't work. In my private clinic they did a HCG blood test at day 13 or 14. Mine have been positive so far with this clinic so I'm not 100% sure what they do if negative, but I think they'd just advise the meds are stopped

Hopefortansy85 · 29/06/2022 21:38

@Herewegoagain881
haha I’m glad I wasn’t the only one who didn’t know about the jab it in thing, my husband took vitamin jabs for a bit and was like ‘ you know you just jab them on right?’ (After 5days)
Then I felt like I was perhaps a masochist for dragging out the injections. I had to count to 3 then jab, as stabbing yourselves is a very unnatural feeling.
So I told my nurse and she was like ‘ yeh you are meant to jab it hurts more doing it slowly!!’ 🙄😂

i think progesterone is the worst hormone I hated it before putting extra in my body, give me oestrogen any day I find progesterone gives you the worst side effects, bloating, hot flushes, soar boobs, a sense of impending doom!

I wish I had a blood test instead of a urine test, after a testing all that time when trying naturally and getting negatives.
I feel like the only outcome is going to be negative, I also feel like it’s all gone too well so far… there has to be a catch… and the test, and the implantation stage generally, might be our catch.
I really don’t feel much different just a bit achey and a bit more anxious and thats probably just the progesterone . I’m now sort of preparing my husband for the fact I think it might not have worked.
It would be fab if tomorrow I woke up with morning sickness 😂 the reassurance would be heaven sent!

Herewegoagain881 · 29/06/2022 22:09

@Hopefortansy85 hopefully it'll work first time! 🤞🤞 Wishing you lots of mild but healthy nausea in the near future 😄

@LT103 I hope everything went well today xxx

LT103 · 30/06/2022 14:32

@Herewegoagain881 it wasn’t threat but it’s over and I feel much better today thankfully. I have tomorrow off work as well and we’re going to call next week to organise our review appointment but will be august/September till we try again I think

LT103 · 30/06/2022 14:32

Great not threat obviously

Coops0406 · 01/07/2022 20:58

@Coops0406 day 2 of stims- 225 Meriofert and Burserelin- my tummy's a little tender.

I totally forgot how it changes you- I'm tired, grumpy and have brain fog- really hoping it works this time and trying to stay posting that we will get 5 day blasts.
