Hi,

I'm just starting this thread as i've kept joining previous ones in hope that I would be at the same time but got left behind with the ups and downs of ivf.
After 3 cycles, 2 failed fresh transfers, PGT-A testing to give us 3 euploid embryos and just now getting our results from the ALICE/EMMA/ERA tests, I am now finally in a position to hopefully start FET on my next cycle with a transfer likely to be end of May or early June!! 😍. Would love to have people to chat to who are following a similar timeline.

@BlueSilver23 ouch, it can become uncomfortable cant it. Hopefully you have a confirmed day after your appointment tomorrow. Aw yeah, it's the little things isn't it. May as well have some fun socks on since nothing else on on the bottom 😂

@Coops0406 I'll do the injections in the evening. I started spotting after my scan, I did email to ask the clinic if I should still just wait til tomorrow to start and they didn't get back to me so tomorrow it is! Pretty sure that's ok! That's annoying you didn't hear back from the clinic today, hopefully first thing. How are you feeling and did you enjoy your weekend away? We had a lovely wee date night last night before we start again, food and Topgun whilst OHs daughter spent time with her granny. Such a good film and a great distraction. Xx

@HJen22 hoping something survives until day 5 blastocyst! just want to at least do one transfer 🥰 my clinic won’t disturb the embryos again until day 5 but I know to expect a 50% drop off rate.
@Coops0406 haha those socks are awesome! Next update Wednesday for me. Hopefully the fluid has cleared. Maybe you can call them tomorrow morning for your bloods?

has anyone else had a cycle cancelled due to fluid in the uterine cavity? I’ve not had any bleeding or overstimulation and my previous scans were fine. I do wonder if it was the fertility drugs!

@HJen22 ahh, very cute! You need to do that as I feel sometimes OH ends up just having to deal with a lot of moods etc and isn't allowed to get mad with me 🤣
Top gun maverick...I'm going to push it and say it was better than the first one! What did you think? I cried quite a lot through it! So emotional and action packed!
I've found coming back after a fun weekend a bit hard to stop my mind wandering and overthinking! Thankfully I'm back at work tomorrow!

@Fluffykins33 I had emailed them but my guess is they will ring me first thing. Last time it was 3 hours after my blood test and they made me go back for an injection so I'm hoping that my levels are okay 🤞🏾
When you say cancelled, do you mean for a fresh transfer? But you've had your eggs collected but they may want to hold off and do a frozen transfer?

I don’t know what to think. After 2 days of spotting and my test going negative couple days ago I was sure I was out. Have my bloods at half 8 this morning so tested when I got up and have the faintest line. Surely by this stage line would be darker? 10dp5dt is 15dpo??
i was hoping i wouldn’t have to wait for the call either way at work but guess I do now 😬😬😬.

@LT103 i have everything crossed for you today!! That's good news there is a line, and people do say a line is a line!!! I have no experience with any lines but I really really hope your bloods come back and it's a BFP ❤️

@Coops0406 yeah agree, I was grumpy and tired last night and just not in the mood, so it's started already 😂 we loved the film! So emotional and gripping. My OH was welling up too! So glad I went to see it! I couldn't remember much about the first one but I read up about it before we went! I know, it's nice to be busy isn't it! Hopefully work will distract you for the rest of the week then a nice long weekend! Hope you hear back about your bloods soon too!

@Fluffykins33 hopefully they are all still growing nicely, and not long til your update now! Hope you're managing to keep busy! Not sure what's better, them not calling til day 5 or them calling every day, we had calls every day and it was probably the most anxious week of my life!!

@BlueSilver23 can you stay in a nearby hotel a night before EC? You will be anxious, stressed and million of ppl heading to London to celebrate. We live an hour away from the clinic and DH didn’t find the communal gate remote, searched for 20 minutes went back to the flat twice and in the end it was in his back pocket! “I never put on there” well he did. We ended up in a hurry, I was stressed out by his driving and that we were going to late. As soon as we arrived we had a huge fight front of the day surgery 😅

@Coops0406 how are you? Are you planning to test early? If so how long before OTD?

@Fluffykins33 one more day to go! Do you need to go to the clinic before they call you? Or they make the call first and then the decision after? Try to relax and think positively.

@Reefy hope you’re ok, only a few days now :) which one would you prefer the 3rd or the 6th for EC?

@FlyOnTheWall89 how are you? How was your weekend? Did you manage to talk with the clinic regarding of the short/long protocol?

I’m 6dp5dt today, last time I started to spotting at 10dp3dt, anxiously looking the toilet paper every single time now. Luckily I’m so busy at work, I don’t have time to Dr.Google and I promised myself I won’t ss, and I don’t have any symptoms other than a little bit of sensitive boobs (but I take more progesterone this time, so who knows?!)
We won’t have the budget this year for another one as our house buying just went through last Thursday. I need to occupy my mind for the next 5 days…it’s going to be hard 🤭

@Dobcaty ekkkk so exciting. I'm not looking forward to this 2 week guessing game.
I did - it's standard for them to offer long protocol if your AMH is under 25 (apparently to help maximise uniform follicle growth and therefore EC). They won't do anything different. I've called loads of times about cancellations and they don't have any for this week so our appt will stay as next week which means we will miss starting this cycle. I called ABC St. Paul's and they would start me on CD1 of next cycle... but I think we will stick with doing a funded round first, so we will get a start date next week I guess at our nurse consultation.

@LT103 I would say a line is a line, no matter how faint 😍 That's what the professionals say. Fingers crossed for you 🤞🏾🤞🏾🤞🏾

@HJen22 @Dobcaty yesterday being tired and doing nothing sent me wild...we ended up stupidly testing this morning (BFN) 5dp5dt! I know it was a bit silly but my logic for it was that they put a fully hatched embryo in so it didn't really need 1-2 days to hatch out and implant, surely it was pretty much ready to implant. Hopefully it might change as the week goes on but I don't feel any different so I'm clinging on to a lot of hope I think.

Well I would say 3rd as won't need to buy more meds 😂 but if they are on the small side then I would say 6th. I feel bloated this morning so see what is going on with tomorrow scan.

So my beta is 32 which is a low positive. To go back on Thursday for second beta but warned me that there is more chance of it faking at this stage than going up. They look for it to be over 70 at 10dp5dt so still just a waiting game. Spotting has stopped again for now.

How is everyone else getting on??

@Coops0406 when is your otd? Is it home test or bloods?

@Dobcaty glad you're busy with work, how long left until OTD? Everything crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

@Coops0406 still very early so keep that hope 🥰 I can imagine it's really hard not to test early but todays negative doesn't mean the next one has to be. Logic doesn't always come into this sadly, so don't count yourself out!!!

Thank you for stims luck, going to do injections evening again as per the clinics advice, going for 6pm ish this time - mainly because we've a wedding reception on Friday and I don't want to do the injection there! The clinic called back today after my email yesterday (handy!) but said either spotting or period mean hormones have dropped so it's fine, I'll start this evening. I feel like I'm massively overthinking and anxious about it this time round! Got to make sure my stepdaughter doesn't come back from her Granny's when we're playing chemist / nurse 😂

@LT103 I'm so sorry that you're still left in limbo and waiting to go back on Thursday. I really hope things turn around. Do they know what can cause a low beta? I'm glad spotting has stopped. Sending all the positivity and hope your way ❤️

@Dobcaty Yes, that’s what I’m planning to do, as soon as I get a concrete date for EC! Far too much stress worrying about getting there on time.

@LT103 Sorry youre still stuck in limbo a little, there’s still hope. Our bodies do weird things with this fertility stuff.

@Reefy Seems like we are on very similar timelines! Thinking mine will be either 4th or 5th depending on whether they want me to stim for a bit longer to try and help the little follicles catch up.

Scan was fine, some follicles of the right size showing up, but several still quite small. Looking on the screen most are below the line. They are worried about balancing not losing the few ones that are ready now with all the little ones that need more time. So I think it might actually be fewer eggs this time round despite the higher dose. 🤦‍♀️ Had the same problem last time. The follicles seem to grow very unevenly.

@Reefy thanks! They got in touch to say my progesterone was now 139! So the injections have definitely worked and although it's quite high, they want me to keep the same meds so it doesn't drop.

@LT103 it sounds so stressful. I hope you are okay and that your hcg rises by Thursday 🤞🏾
OTD is next Monday, 11dpt. I've used the first response early tests as I've seen people with positives from 4dp with those. I don't even know if my place does bloods to check for the beta levels!

@HJen22 thank you! Sometimes you just can't help yourself...I hate being in limbo or grey areas! 😩

@BlueSilver23 it's a tough call with that...I found my place didn't want to sacrifice what we had definitely there for what may be. And a lot of people have better quality with fewer eggs so hopefully you get some good quality in there.

@Fluffykins33 how was your scan today? Is the fluid shifting?

@Coops0406 not that I’m the best example but I had a negative at 8dpo then obvious positive today at 10dpt.

@HJen22 they didn’t say but she’s sending me through info on it on portal. I assume just late to implant. Hoping that the cramps and bleeding last 3 days has been implantation and it’s just a slow starter but they have warned me it might not stick.

@BlueSilver23 i got told it’s always quantity over quality and you don’t want too many eggs as tend to be lower quality then. I mean I had 31 follicles and worried about timing for my collection as had some big ones and I worried I’d lose them with date they gave. they only got 9 eggs but 7 of them made it to day 5. So just go with what they say. They’ll work out what’s best.

@LT103 it's just hard not to test early!
Why have they warned you that it might not stick? Because the beta was low?

@Coops0406 sje said they want beta to be over 70 at this stage so it could be a failing pregnancy. I said what are chances of low beta at this stage going to be ok and she said there’s more chance it will fall….thanks!
i said about me having a negative test 2 days ago and a positive today and if that impacted on anything like does that mean it’s rising rather than falling but she just said she couldn’t say

@Coops0406 @LT103 Yes. It’s hard to know what to do. My instincts say to go a day early and get the good ones out rather than risk them for the smaller follicles which are more likely to be immature eggs anyway. They did my EC early last time too, I skipped the final day of planned stims. Will see what the scan/bloods show in a couple of days. They don’t want to change anything at this point but I might push for a slightly early EC again. We were hoping starting on the higher dose from the start would even things out this time round but clearly my body doesn’t want to play ball!

@LT103 it's so hard to hear stuff like that! Sometimes it would be better if they didn't give too much detail out but I suppose we just want all the facts. I really do hope it has increased by Thursday for you.

@BlueSilver23 @Reefy well, my levels are almost double the top of the range they want so I don't know if it's a good thing...but I think it's worse if it drops so no chance to my meds. Apparently too high progesterone can make it more difficult to implant...gotta love google!

@BlueSilver23 when is the next scan?

@Coops0406 again I find it so bizarre that I’m on no progesterone and I didn’t get it checked other than pre ovulation along with lh and estradiol to predict ovulation. Didn’t have lining checked or anything. Can’t work out how 2 protocols can be so different
However it’s great that your levels are good!!!

@BlueSilver23 being close by to the clinic on day of EC definitely sounds like a good plan! Don't need any added stress to the day. I hope the smaller follicles catch up, a lot can happen in a few days!

First stims went well, I mixed (with my OHs supervision) and administered myself 👏🏻 took a couple of attempts as I was being so overly cautious with the needle it wasn't even going in, OH was like do it like a dart 😂 I was scared of spilling and doing it wrong rather that it being sore. Forgot it smells and stings but I survived! One down!

@HJen22 glad the first one went well. What are you on? I find the menopur smells! Yes I'm doing ok just a panic last night that I didn't have enough fyremedal as was convinced I had another so called around to try & find some then I found it 😂 however Asda hold it for 24 hours so have reserved some & a menopur incase the clinic say I need to stim longer as won't have enough. Have scan this morning so see what they say!

@Reefy I'm on 300 Menopur! Yeah it's got a pungent smell doesn't it! Oh no, what a stress! Glad you found it and good idea reserving for should you need to stim longer! Good luck at your scan this morning ❤️
