Hi,

I'm just starting this thread as i've kept joining previous ones in hope that I would be at the same time but got left behind with the ups and downs of ivf.
After 3 cycles, 2 failed fresh transfers, PGT-A testing to give us 3 euploid embryos and just now getting our results from the ALICE/EMMA/ERA tests, I am now finally in a position to hopefully start FET on my next cycle with a transfer likely to be end of May or early June!! 😍. Would love to have people to chat to who are following a similar timeline.

@BlueSilver23 wow that's a great amount of follicles! Oh that's a shame you can't do it in the thigh! Maybe keep doing the one you are in the thigh then the other in the stomach!

@Reefy how are you finding it all?? Yes, I was surprised as I only had about 5 last time on day 6. But still ended up with 20 eggs in the end. But they upped the dose slightly this time round from the start rather than half way though like last time. So I’m hoping this means that this time round there are not necessarily more eggs overall but more mature eggs as I got 14 to freeze out of those 20 eggs last time. But we’ll see. Far too early on to tell which way its all going go! Trying to think of anything that I get this time round as a bonus.

and yes think I’m going to do the cetrotide in the stomach and rest in the thigh. Got a rash and itchiness last time with the cetrotide so have some piriton at the ready for the morning

@BlueSilver23 yes I'm finding it all ok at the moment! I'm on the same meds as last time so pretty similar at the moment! Fingers crossed for you 🤞. I had itching the last 2 cycles with my menopur but this cycle (touch wood) I've been ok.
When is your next scan?

@Fluffykins33 a drop in numbers is totally normal; stay positive I hope your next update is good news x glad you feel supported; it's such a hard and lonely thing to go through and it's nice to have people who fully understand they physical and emotional strain it can be. Here to talk always x

@Coops0406 yum! Enjoy all your zero alcohol Gins! Thank you, she is 13. It will be nice to have some days off (and during stims this time as well after working through last time) to do some fun things and we've also got a wedding next Friday evening so plenty to keep me busy too!

@BlueSilver23 great numbers are your scan today!! Hope you are feeling ok and good luck with cetroride. I just alternated sides last cycle and found it ok, it just stung a little once it was in but I didn't get bruises; just a wee red bit straight after.

And yes, I caved but didn’t really help me any! I got a line on an frer and not a squinter but I’m only 7 days post transfer/ovitrelle injection so I don’t know if it’s still the ovitrelle in my system. But at least I know I’m not completely out yet!

Going to test again tomorrow to see if it helps any……this is why they say not to test before OTD isn’t it?? 🤦🏻‍♀️

but I’d normally have started spotting 2 days ago and I’ve had nothing. And have had cramps like period coming for about 5 days now! I don’t know what to think…it’s driving me mad!! Almost wish I hadn’t tested haha

@Fluffykins33 I will remember to ask them on my first scan on Thursday how comes I didn't have a baseline scan... eeee thanks I'm proper proud of myself x

@Fluffykins33 awww that's good to hear I'm hoping to be put to sleep but dreading recovery get plenty of rest and please don't be upset I know it's hard but please always remember it's quality not quantity we only need that sticky embryo to stick to get our dream come true x

@LT103 103 were you on overleap? I'm on overleap on 150 per day alot of people that's been on it have had higher dosage congrats on the 7 embryos that's amazing! Keep us updated with the test x

@Coops0406 s0406 first day injection went so well it went so good like I didn't even imagine it would be that good I just hope they all are like that I didn't even bleed don't know if that's a good or a bad thing lol

@BlueSilver23 ver23 wow 18 follicles that's amazing! Would the clinic maybe show you a way to inject without bleeding so much? For example whenever u do it for u to go to the clinic and they could show you?

@Coops0406 how is your weekend in Liverpool? Hope you have a relaxing time with friends. Why you have to have a blood test tomorrow morning? Are they checking hormone levels? I never had any blood test apart from the first check up and always wondered what other clinics do.

@LT103 eeek...I really hope that is the line! Trigger shot usually out of the system 8-10days and you didn't even need to squinter, did you test this morning? 🤞
I promised myself I won't test and wait for the blood result, as every single time my af arrived after when I took a hpt. (Literally in hours and even on progesterone)

No update from me, today is 4dp5dt, I had some sharp pain the first two days after transfer, and my boobs are a size bigger and very sensitive but its all because my extra progesterone this time.

@Dobcaty yeah line was almost gone this morning so def just ovitrelle doing it. Holding off til Tuesday now. No more testing

@LT103 just saw you had a faint line!! Fantastic news! It's all sounding positive so far so I'm keeping everything crossed for you! I too am probably going to test early...7 days past is our anniversary but I don't know whether to do it then as it could make it amazing or ruin it! 😩 dilemmas! Plus we have friends staying at ours around that time so wondering whether to just stay in the PUPO bubble! I'll probably test though!

@Babydust2u fab! I think you can build it up in the lead up to it and now you have that one out of the way you can ease into the rest. Our one this morning bled ever so slightly and I felt it compared with the others and I think it just may have been the angle or hit a little blood vessel.

I was on 450 ovaleap but my body seems to be very resistant to the drugs...I started on 225 got 2 eggs then got 17 and 16 on my next 2 cycles on the higher dose.

@Dobcaty Liverpool is great, saw a really funny play last night, complete slapstick comedy so that was good. And managed on my zero alcohol whilst our friends were so pissed! My OH isn't a big drinker so that's good, we got a naughty kebab and chips on our way back to the hotel!
My boobs have been sore since the day I started oestrogen! They are so tender so I have no signs of anything really. Yes, just checking the progesterone...I'm on lubion plus 2 cyclogest so they are just seeing if my levels are high enough (or not too high!). I'm 3dp5dt today, last time AF came at 7dp so I think that will be a tricky day for me as I'll be a bit paranoid with the slightest bit of spotting!
These blood tests are a new thing at my place too, they have started checking progesterone level on day of transfer for patients but because of what happened last time they did mine the day before and doing it again.

@HJen22 it sounds like you also have a fun week ahead and so nice to not have to work for a bit whilst all this is going on!

Oh forgot to say, we went to one of those posh places for lunch yesterday with a bit of a set lunch, which was fine. But they brought some random plates as appetisers...one was a little bit of sushi and the other some meats like chorizo! I couldn't eat them and had to just say to my friends it's because of medication and they don't want us to risk anything in the build up! I'm certain they saw through me! It's so hard all this bending of the truth!

@Coops0406 No EC will likely be jubilee weekend 🤦‍♀️ So have the added stress of trying to figure out how to get into London via trains or cars on time for EC while the bloody parade is on with a million people there and roads closed

@LT103 Aw, yeah it’s always hard to know what to do with testing. I’m a great avocate of the head in the sand method 🤣

my cetrotide jab went well enough, didn’t feel a thing and no blood! Probably just a fluke though. Feeling very full already though and twingy. Wonder how I’m going to manage another week

Hi all, just wondering if I could see what you guys thought about a couple of things-

1- Would you take a bath during stims? I seem to have trapped a nerve near my shoulder blade & thought maybe a soak might do me good but wasn't sure as I always shower?

2- I'm staying away from home tomorrow & obviously need meds but I have a scan in the morning then going straight from there so don't want to open the new menopur yet incase they say tomorrow I don't need to stim anymore so obviously it's stored in the fridge so do you think it's ok to put in a cool bag with a couple of ice packs for max 2 hours Il be there by 10am?

@Reefy not sure about the bath, it’s probably fine but you could use a hot compress instead if you’re worried? I’ve never had to travel with meds so I don’t know whether the menopur is fine to cool. If it’s only for two hours and its in a proper ice bag it’s probably fine? After all they have to transport it like that?

@BlueSilver23 I had tried a hot water bottle but I did have bath only for about 20 mins as I get bored 😂 that's why I don't have a bath!
Yeah that's what I thought but I think the vans are refrigerated but I'm going to put like 3 or 4 ice packs in the cool bag so should be fine! I just don't want to risk mixing it before I leave incase at scan today they say I don't need it as it's a waste as can only stay open for 28 days. When do you have your next scan?

Just had second stims scan & all going in the right direction! A few small ones still but hoping they will grow! No bloods needed today as they said all going well so next scan Wednesday!

@Reefy that's great news, and fingers crossed for the few little ones, a lot can happen in a couple of days. When is EC looking like?

That's us back from baseline scan, start stims tomorrow if AF arrives which she said it would. Same meds as before but bigger boxes which means less mixing which is a good thing I guess. I'm just so nervous this time at getting it all right! Xx

@HJen22 they said they can't tell at the moment but said as we're having ICSI they want them to get a big as possible! They said all along either 3rd or 6th. If it's the 6th I need to get more meds but won't know till evening of 1st & it's bank holiday... useful 😂. Had AF arrived yet?

@Reefy never easy with a bank holiday chucked in there is it!! Hopefully next scan you'll know the plan! Not yet, expect it to arrive tomorrow. When she took the scanner out she was like "oh there's spotting, it will definitely come." My OHs face 😂😂😂 nothing about a visit there is very dignified. I had on my fun Dino socks I wore last time (my sister got me cute socks that I wore to each scan last time then lucky EC socks) so continuing with the ritual and my nice Costa decaf latte with coconut milk afterwards 😂 ☕️

@HJen22 dignity is left at home 😂. Aww that's cute, my parents got me some pineapple ones so waiting to EC & ET for those to come out! Hope she shows her face on time!

Hello ladies, nice seing everyone progressing with your cycles. I'm not far behind now, finished my Noresthisterone yesterday and starting my stims on Friday! Thanks goodness for long BH weekend 😀

Spotting this morning day before blood test so I think I’m out. Preparing for that anyway 😭

@HJen22 feeling very bloated this time round! Hoping to have a better idea of timeline after tomorrow. But EC still likely to be this weekend if all goes well.

@LT103 spotting is common in the early days so don’t count yourself out just yet! Fingers crossed and baby dust for you tomorrow.

i also bought new socks for the scans and EC. Funny how we all have similar traditions. I got Burger King after EC last time as well without realising it’s a tradition. We must be craving the salt after sedation perhaps!

My friend bought me a pair of "IVF got this" socks and I wear them to ECs and transfers!

I went for another blood test this morning...thought I would have heard by now but they close at 4pm so it will be tomorrow. If my progesterone is still low then i'lol likely have to do 2 lubion injections a day plus a pessary 😩
