Hi,

I'm just starting this thread as i've kept joining previous ones in hope that I would be at the same time but got left behind with the ups and downs of ivf.
After 3 cycles, 2 failed fresh transfers, PGT-A testing to give us 3 euploid embryos and just now getting our results from the ALICE/EMMA/ERA tests, I am now finally in a position to hopefully start FET on my next cycle with a transfer likely to be end of May or early June!! 😍. Would love to have people to chat to who are following a similar timeline.

@BlueSilver23 I would sometimes bleed a little bit, I think if you have something to blot to hand right away it should help?

@Babydust2u ah almost stims time! Do you have a baseline scan / what cycle day do you start? Xx

@HJen22 unsure about baseline scan all I know is I'm having 2 scans before egg collection, sos what do u mean cycle day I start? Do u mean stims lol sos I get confused with working out cycle days lol

@Babydust2u ah sorry! So I have a baseline scan where they just check things over I think and then if my period starts the next day I will start stims so would be cycle day 1. But clinics differ! Xx

Hi Ladies, hope everyone is good. First stims scan & all seems to be going in the right direction. We have only 4 days of stims but introduce the lovely fyremedal injection tonight 😬. Both my cysts have got a little smaller going from 17mm to 15mm so that’s good. I have around 8 follicles on my left side & 6 on my right so. They got bloods first time today!

Hi guys! Bit of a latecomer to the thread but needed some encouragement. Had 9 eggs collected today from first short protocol ivf cycle but there’s fluid in my cervix so transfer has been cancelled and everything will be frozen :(. Feeling a bit like we have lost momentum and don’t know why or where this fluid has come from (we have unexplained fertility). Has anyone else gone on to transfer and implant successfully later on? Soo badly wanted this to be our month 😥baby dust to all xx

@HJen22 they just told me to start my stims tomorrow as long as I start my period but I don't know if its cos my amh is high? I'm unsure.. have they said when your next scan will be x

@Fluffykins33 that's really good how did your egg collection go? How you feeling? Please don't be disheartened the clinics know best and you body needs to be in a right place to go through transfer..I'm new to ivf have they said if you have got ohss?

@Babydust2u yes was quite pleased with that, need them to grow more now! Ooo not long now, good luck with stims

@Reefy that's great news, glad to hear your follicles are growing nicely!! Also great your cysts have gotten smaller! Hope you get on ok with your second injection tonight!

@Babydust2u yeah same as me, I start the day my period comes. At my clinic they do a scan the day before I start, then I've got scans on day 9 and 11 and then they'll advise when to trigger for EC.

@Fluffykins33 welcome. I'm sorry to hear you won't have a fresh transfer but as @Babydust2u said, as disheartening as it is, the clinic will want when best for you and hopefully you'll get a good number of embryos for the freezer and a frozen transfer soon 🤞🏻❄️ xxx

I never really had any bleeding, but I made sure I really squeezed and stretched the skin whilst doing it, and then OH just went in at 90 degrees. I hope it improves for you. Have you had a proper injection teach from the clinic? May be worth speaking to them to get their advice.

@HJen22 thank you. We're in Liverpool tomorrow with friends for a couple of nights which falls in perfectly as I have to have a blood test in Liverpool on Monday at 8.30am! So will do that then come back. We're eating at a couple of nice places, watching a funny play (not sure what it's called but my friend assured me it's hilarious!) and going to see maverick!! And watching top gun tonight because I love the old Tom Cruise from my younger days and need to be ready for Maverick! 🤣 Then when I get back it will only be a week to OTD!!
Hope baseline is okay and that AF is on time for you! Exciting times!! 😍 what are you up to this weekend?

@Fluffykins33 one of my friends who I became friends with because we had egg collection on the same day last June had to do freeze all...she did a frozen transfer last September and she's just had a baby girl a couple of weeks ago! So don't worry about it being delayed, it's more important to sort out the fluid than waste any embryos if things aren't right. Frozen transfers have very similar success rates to fresh ones. Hopefully the fluid reduces soon enough for you.

@HJen22 yes but as always that one is so hard to piece the skin!
The one & only time AF is welcomed on time right 😂.

@Coops0406 yeah as the nurse said they are small but it's only been 4 days where as normally it would be 5 days but as I had to start a day later due to having some o have another scan to check those cysts. Sounds like you have a fun weekend in order & will help pass the time! Enjoy it!

@BlueSilver23 I would bleed after it, I iced it before too.

@Fluffykins33 9 eggs is great and they actually say a FET cycle is more effective as you body has had time to recover.

@Reefy I'm sure they'll grow! How many days until next scan? Do you have EC pencilled in or does it depend on the scans?

@PMAmostofthetime I'm sure it's supposed to be 100mg, 3 times a day. Most of the packets say 1 a day but my consultant said 3 times a day but I would check with your consultant rather than Google...I've fallen out with Google as of earlier this week 🤣

@HJen22 I'm worried now as I just seen someone at the same clinic as me and they started norethisterone and they have a baseline scan booked in then if all goes well they start their stims.. now I'm thinking why haven't I had a baseline scan I'm going to call them up tomorrow x

@Coops0406 I'm so nervous! I've been watching the injection teach videos I just hope I'm able to do it on my own tomorrow as hubby get very light headed at the thought of needles and seeing them I'm doomed haha! X

@Babydust2u I'm sorry if I worried you! It's maybe because it's over the weekend, is your clinic closed? I don't think my clinic is open for things like that over the weekend, just transfers in the day ward (I know this as when we had an issue last time we had to go on a Sunday and none of the nurses were there and the Dr couldn't get into the meds fridge!) I am sure it will all be fine but yeah call them if you are concerned, if in doubt always ask x

@Coops0406 that sounds like a weekend full of fun! I'm glad you've got things to distract you and hopefully make the TWW go past quicker! Haha my parents went to see Topgun yesterday and my mum said "Tom's still got it" 😂 enjoy Liverpool and I hope the sun comes out!

This weekend I've a quiet day today, my OH is driving down to get his daughter (not actually far from Liverpool) and back up and she's here for a week. She was meant to be here in Easter but wasn't able to as we had Covid. So it will be nice to have her! Hoping to keep all of what's going on from her so fingers crossed 🤞🏻 not ideal timing but never mind hahah!

@PMAmostofthetime I take 200mg in the morning and 200mg in the evening. I feel like I maybe upped it to another one a day during stims last time so I'll probably do that again in the hope it helps those eggs! I can't remember where or why I decided that dose though, maybe it starts with an egg or maybe I just made it up 😂

@Fluffykins33 your clinic will know best. I know it feels like a delay but it might be for the best. I had a freeze all because I was high risk for OHSS and at the time of egg collection and for a few days after I was so uncomfortable and sore. I’m now having my frozen cycle 2 months after my collection and I feel like it was the best thing as I felt much better and more ready for it. It will pass in no time!!

one more thing I guess, if the fluid means they are worried about OHSS then you need to drink plenty of fluids the next few days to help prevent it. Usually about 3 litres a day and electrolytes if you can too. But the best way to prevent it is not to do a fresh transfer.

@Reefy 14 follicles sounds good. Hope they all grow nicely for you.

@Babydust2u my clinic don’t do baseline scans either. Not sure why? I watched the injection videos so many times worrying but they were absolutely fine. You’ll be ok.

@HJen22 i think actually I took 200mg twice a day too. I can’t remember now. I stopped it after egg collection as they’re are various reports about whether it can affect transfer. Now just hoping we don’t ever need another collection 🤞 I forgot top gun was out. Will maybe go see it this weekend to pass the time! Enjoy your weekend

@HJen22 I've double checked my protocol and northing says about a baseline scan so I'm guessing I may not need one and that may be due to my amh being so high? I tried to call them this morning but no one answered X

@LT103 its so wierd isnt it how different peoples protocols are different.. aww thank you so much, also can I ask what sort of electrolytes drink should I be drinking and how much of it? X

Anyone know of any good electrolytes drinks??? X

@Babydust2u because I was at risk of ohss with a high amh I drunk loads to be on safe side but I think the main concern is if you get pregnant at fresh transfer as it can get worse. I drank mainly water but got some flavoured electrolyte tablets from Amazon and also got some lucozade sport.

Just done my first injection omg it wasn't bad at all! I didn't feel anything thank god for belly fat hahaha!

@LT103 thank you so much will go into boots for some electorates tablets if you don't mind me asking what was your amh? Mine is 59 and I'm so scared of getting ohss x

@Babydust2u egg collection was not as scary as I thought it would be but had a slow recovery. Feeling much better today :) they mentioned ohss but as I haven’t produced very many follicles they think it’s unlikely.

@HJen22 i really hope we get some good quality embryos to freeze but today I’ve just had the call and dropped from 9 eggs to 5 fertilised. Not sure if this is good for the freezing process??

@Coops0406 keeping my fingers crossed the fluid has gone by Wednesday next week for my next scan. Don’t think I can cope with more surgical procedures. It’s so hard when you psyche yourself up and get delayed when everyone around you is announcing pregnancies. I just really keep faith that the delay will be worth it!🤞

@PMAmostofthetime thanks! Is 5 fertilised good? I know the The funnel is getting narrower at every stage 😰 but it just takes one good one🤞

@LT103 yes absolutely trying to down the water and lucozade as much as I can and trusting the clinics judgement! Also praying the cause isn’t some sort of tube abnormality as nothing showed up on scan but I never had a dye test.

@Babydust2u mine was 39 but considering I’m 40 it’s fairly high for my age. During stims my follicle count was 31 but they had me on a really low protocol to focus on quality rather than quantity so we got 9 eggs and ended up somehow with 7 frozen embryos. Glad the first injection was ok.

@Fluffykins33 its totally normal that they don’t all fertilise and numbers can drop as things move along but fingers crossed for some Frosties for you!!!

@HJen22 haha! I think Tom cruise has started to look a bit like Dennis quaid! I'm all dolled up and excited for the weekend! Looking forward to trying all the zero alcohol gins that Liverpool has to offer! Have a love weekend with your hubby's daughter! How old is she?

@Fluffykins33 I think only very few get through without delays unfortunately. I found it so hard at first being left behind when things were moving for everyone around and just found myself even more stressed about it so now I've learnt to just go with the flow. The clinics know best. And better they don't just go ahead with a transfer if your body isn't ready.

@Coops0406 not gonna lie I’m fully planning on testing early either today or tomorrow. Ive given up haha. It’s getting too much!

My first scan went ok today, 18 follicles on day 6, which is higher than day 6 last time. So start the dreaded cetrotide tomorrow. Been injecting into thigh which seems to have helped with the bleeding so far. But nurse insists cetrotide must be injected in the stomach 😔

@LT103 Have you caved and tested yet?
