Hi,

I'm just starting this thread as i've kept joining previous ones in hope that I would be at the same time but got left behind with the ups and downs of ivf.
After 3 cycles, 2 failed fresh transfers, PGT-A testing to give us 3 euploid embryos and just now getting our results from the ALICE/EMMA/ERA tests, I am now finally in a position to hopefully start FET on my next cycle with a transfer likely to be end of May or early June!! 😍. Would love to have people to chat to who are following a similar timeline.

@BlueSilver23 when do you start the stims?

@LT103 congrats on being PUPO!!! I always panic about peeing myself, it never helps when they're running late either! 10 days is good, once the weekend is done it'll just be over a week! 😍

@Dobcaty amazing news!!! Those numbers are brilliant!! 10 fertilised is the best news you could have hoped for. I hope you can enjoy the weekend now 😊

Nothing exciting happening here apart from popping the oestrogen pills and progesterone pessaries! A few friends have been asking when transfer is happening and I'm finding it quite tricky to avoid answering and being blasé! Any advice welcome!! I hate lying but keep saying we're just waiting (and not saying what for 🤦🏾‍♀️)

@LT103 glad transfer went well! That's a long time when you have a full bladder 😂.

@Dobcaty that's a great number. Hope you aren't feeling too uncomfortable today.

@Reefy @Coops0406 should be starting stims this week, depending on cycle. Day 3 I think. But seeing nurse early next week so should have definite day in a couple of days. Aiming for EC first or second week in June hopefully

@BlueSilver23 I need a day 3 (AF) scan on Monday & they will do bloods & if all ok il be starting stims Monday night!

@Reefy Great news. Same protocol here I think, likely day 3 stims! Just have to wait for AF to turn up now!

@Thornbird80 I am so sorry that you couldn't get anyone yet. How far are you from your clinic? Can you walk-in and ask the reception for your nurse/doctor? I know its cheeky but when is no answer I would definitely consider this option. Regarding of the cyst, is there an option to drain it when EC? I have one and nurses were talking at the baseline scan if it grows bigger during stims they might drain it. (not happened)

@Coops0406 those unwanted questions! None of my friends knows that we classified with unexplained infertility, getting awkward questions, especially now when one of our close friends 16 weeks pregnant. I usually just shake it off and tell them when time comes, they will know.

@Dobcaty it was impossible. I specially when they have an ultrasound pressed on your bladder

@Dobcaty sadly it's not just a simple fluid cyst, being an endometrioma it's full of 'stuff' so it's a case of having to have it taken out for keyhole surgery 😕had one taken out from that side 5 years ago and it's blooming well come back, there is a risk of losing that side but there is a possibility of it rupturing if over stimulated and that could be really bad. If I don't get a response Monday I may well end up going in, it's only 20 mins away. good idea thank you x

@Thornbird80 sorry that you need to deal with that over with everything else. Honestly don't understand that why on Earth they don't reply back to you?! To going through with treatments it's already a huge emotional rollercoaster, and they ALL know it, they should help you with answers. Sorry this is just makes me so angry...

@Coops0406 eee i know i cant wait!.. i think thats the best thing you can do and just explain that your waiting on on more tests or something and then that way you'll stop with the questions hopefully

@Reefy how you feeling about starting stims on Monday night? Any tips would be appreciated i was told I had to do my stims in the morning before 10am

@VO27 How's your water intake going?

@Babydust2u yeah absolutely fine about the stims. I think I was like you on my first cycle & everyone is, if you just think when you are doing it it's all for a good reason. Are you on a stim that has to be kept in the fridge all the time as if you are I would take it out about 20/30 mins before you inject. I keep my menopur in till about that time before then mix it then I keep it out the fridge as once mixed it doesn't need to stay in there. Oh mine have always been 8pm. Some people find to numb the area first with ice pack of something.

@Reefy my ovaleap in the only one that has to be kept in the fridge and my fyremadel and trigger is kept out ooo thanks ill keep that in mind.. are you doing your injections now to prepare you for egg collection or to prepare you for frozen transfer x

@Babydust2u I'm doing it to prepare for another collection. 4th time as never got any to freeze on any cycle!

@HJen22 it completely wiped me out day 7 and still positive but feeling more human which is good.

@VO27 thanks for sharing your experience. I'm now day 46 still no sign. Have a virtual appointment Tuesday so I'll speak to the clinic then.

Hopefully I'll have a plan for next protocol soon x

Was hoping I could squeeze in and join this thread please

I'm on my first cycle of IVF and started buserelin on the 9th of May. I was at cycle day 14 then, I checked numerous websites/forums and they all say buserelin should be started on cd21 but my clinic said it can be any day of your cycle? So being new to it all, I started when they told me to. The injections themselves took a little practice and then were 'okay' to administer and my major noticeable side effect would have to be tiredness! So so tired!

Fast forward, so my period is due yesterday/today but yet to come or show any signs of coming, I usually get some spotting a few days prior but have had nothing! Getting worried incase I am pregnant or the buserelin has delayed my period and it won't come before I start my menopur injections 😵‍💫

I just need to let my thoughts out to people who will understand rather than my husband who bless him tries his best but he just doesn't get it 🤦🏽‍♀️

Hi @Tbeeka I am a bit behind you - due to start in the next few months. I was told CD21 for buserelin but I'm sure someone on here will know. Did the clinic say you needed to use protection the month before you start?

Hoping you get more good news today @Dobcaty - when is transfer planned?

Hi @Tbeeka some clinic starts down regulation on CD1 too, don't worry the clinic knows what they do. You can't start the stims until they confirmed your lining is enough thin. Bueserelin can delay the period, I'm very regular 27-29 days, but this cycle it came on CD31. the important part is to have your period before the baseline scan. Wait a couple of days, if is no sign, call your clinic so they can advise or/and adjust your timeline. Which clinic are you with? We are here to support each other 😘

Thanks @FlyOnTheWall89 @Coops0406, surprisingly I wasn't nervous yesterday, had a fantastic day, but that was gone by 5am this morning. 😅 they will call between 9-11am and depends on their update, the transfer (if any) can be today afternoon (day3) or Wednesday afternoon (day5). I will update 🤞

@Dobcaty good luck with your update today. Thank you, just got to go for a scan this morning to make sure my cysts haven't grown anymore & have some bloods then they will call me early this ending to say if I can I start so finger crossed. My clinic always do my baseline scan before my period starts which seems unusual as everyone else says they get them when AF arrives. I had mine Tuesday but now need one today while AF is here to check these cysts they found. So weird how each clinic is different isn't it. 🤞.

@Dobcaty it was good. Went out for some food with friends so managed to distract myself from googling!! Working this week so hoping it passes quickly!
