Hi,

I'm just starting this thread as i've kept joining previous ones in hope that I would be at the same time but got left behind with the ups and downs of ivf.
After 3 cycles, 2 failed fresh transfers, PGT-A testing to give us 3 euploid embryos and just now getting our results from the ALICE/EMMA/ERA tests, I am now finally in a position to hopefully start FET on my next cycle with a transfer likely to be end of May or early June!! 😍. Would love to have people to chat to who are following a similar timeline.

@FlyOnTheWall89 thank you. They are really pleased with my follicles today, most of them in the same size bracket, 15 of them between 15-20mm, 5 of them around 12-13mm and 7 of them just under 10mm so we're going ahead with the EC as planned on Friday. Hoping this time we'll do better but they said I should be very happy with these result. Now I'm just waiting the call for tonight trigger's time. 😊
I think if you on CD21 on the 5th July, baseline scan around the 22nd, and EC somewhere on the 3rd-5th Aug.

FlyOnTheWall89 · 18/05/2022 14:08

Wow so exciting @Dobcaty, you must be thrilled. What were your meds this time round? Keeping everything crossed for you x

Coops0406 · 19/05/2022 16:23

@Dobcaty was that price for lubion? My friend has something which is a lot cheaper called prontogest, have you heard of it? I emailed the nurses at my place and they hadn't heard of it but were going to check. It's bizarre the widespread range of pricing! My friend again said she couldn't get cyclogest pessaries, probably around a similar time, because of a shortage and had to get utrogestan.

@FlyOnTheWall89 I love the check about unprotected sex...my poor OH, I couldn't feel more further from wanting anything of the sort 🤣

@Courtjobby thank you 😊 feeling excited now, especially as I start the progesterone tomorrow! And then it'll be the weekend and then we'll basically be there!!

I hope everyone else is okay and enjoying some sunshine! ☀️ Perfect weather for a G&T but the zero alcohol stuff will just have to be a good enough placebo! 🤣

Hi all. I've just caught up reading all your news and sending love and positive thoughts to everyone that has egg collections and transfers booked in.

Anyone else new to this and feel that it's like trying to learn a new language! I've had a letter from our clinic today that is the summary of our initial meeting. It suggests the Flare Protocol, has anyone been on that?

But I have more questions than ever! I had my scan last weds a week after our initial meeting. Radiographer suggested i needed another scan in 7 to 10 days to check follicle count and results of endometrioma size (6.5cm) she said my results would be sent to our Dr and I would hear back as to what they want to do.
Heard nothing have emailed them, called them, no response.... Letter says to make an appt with a nurse re drugs but I don't want to do that without knowing what the dr reckons to my cyst and possible issues as per our conversation in our initial meeting! And do I need another scan or not?!?
Also got a gyne appt at the hospital re my cyst and hopefully discussing taking it out onth 28th so want to talk to our Dr about that as didn't have that appt at the time of our meeting and she told me to get that referral chased up which my GP got straight on to!
Feeling utterly frustrated for the lack of communication and update. Letter is all about go go go and get on the drugs but that was all dictated prior to my scan which she said a lot depended on and no one is coming back to me.... aarrrggghhhh!!!!

HJen22 · 20/05/2022 06:06

@Coops0406 yay progesterone starts today! How are you doing?

@Dobcaty welcome! Lots of luck for EC today! I wish you all the luck and love for this cycle!

@Courtjobby how was your holiday? I hope you had a lovely time!

@Thornbird80 that sounds extremely stressful and confusing, and annoying about the lack or communication! I'm sorry! I hope you get hold of someone soon and they can give you clear instruction as to what are the next steps! Last thing you need is the worry of not really knowing what's going on!

@LT103 @SamTTC how are you ladies?

Not much new with me, experiencing the insomnia again on the pill and waking up early. I even unset my alarm today looking forward to a long lie and woke up mega early ha but other than that I'm fine and emotionally not too cray yet 😂 was a lovely sunny day here yesterday hopefully today and this weekend is too! I've a henny tomorrow, thankfully through the day. Must be the first one I've not drank at haha but I'm sure I'll still have fun! Does anyone else have anything fun on? Xx

LT103 · 20/05/2022 07:21

@HJen22 all good here thanks. Had another call with clinic yesterday so transfer scheduled for 11.30 tomorrow. Still can’t believe I just get a single injection on the day and no medication at all when I read how much other people are on. I just don’t have many positive thoughts about this but happy to trust them.

hen day will be good to keep your mind off everything. I have a day out with friends the day after transfer. Dinner booked on a deal with free cocktail etc. Now need to make up excuse as to why I’m not drinking as only one of them knows!

HJen22 · 20/05/2022 07:31

@LT103 glad to hear you're doing well! As hard as it is, try and not compare to others and different clinics. Everywhere seems so different in the way they do things. Trust in the team and take comfort in the fact they've been very closely monitoring you on the lead up and have timed it exact. I do know what you mean though, must be strange after being on all the meds for stims! I hope you have a relaxing day today before going tomorrow.

Yeah it will be nice and most of my friends know (but not where we're at with the next cycle) so I'll not get any questions as to why I'm not drinking. Aw that will be so lovely! You could say you're on antibiotics or something or have to drive to pick someone up from somewhere after your meal? Xx

Reefy · 20/05/2022 09:59

@Coops0406 yes was a beautiful day after lots of rain in the morning!

I did have a few gins as was my birthday yesterday so made an exception 😂 I'm not on any meds at the moment & just had a few!

@HJen22 the insomnia has kick in for me too at the moment I wonder if it's just anxiety about the whole cycle starting.

@Thornbird80 sorry to hear about the lack of communication. I would call them again today.

@LT103 good luck for the transfer!

badassmum22 · 20/05/2022 12:16

Happy belated birthday @Reefy 🎉💐☀️

@Dobcaty Good luck for today's EC.

How is everyone doing? x

Dobcaty · 20/05/2022 13:07

Thanks everyone, I'm already at home :) 13 eggs collected, will get a call later today to see how many of them mature, and then the dreaded weekend' calls. Really strange that I was in higher stimulation this time (Gonal-f 450 unit) and only 2 more eggs, however 13 is our lucky number with DH. So we'll see :)

@LT103 great news that your transfer is tomorrow. Do you have anything planned for the TWW?

@Thornbird80 did you manage to hold anyone? It's so frustrating when you have questions no one get back to you

How is everyone else? Xx

BlueSilver23 · 20/05/2022 13:08

Good luck to everyone having ECs and transfers today.🍀

last day of norehisterone for me thank goodness! Totally bloated and full of spots 😬

BlueSilver23 · 20/05/2022 13:10

@Dobcaty Glad it went well, and that’s good number of eggs. Let’s hope it’s your lucky number again!

They told me how many were mature at my last EC while I was still half drugged in the hospital bed. I had to ring up the next day and ask again 🤣

HJen22 · 20/05/2022 14:12

@Reefy happy belated birthday lovely 🥳 I hope you had a great day and enjoyed the well deserved Gins!!!

Yeah I think it's probably a bit of that for me too, the anticipation and anxiety of it getting closer!

@badassmum22 how are you?

@Dobcaty great news! Lucky number 13 fingers crossed for some great fertilisation! Ugh the calls are stressful aren't they! I really hope that each day brings happy news!

@BlueSilver23 happy last day of norethisterone! I've auto 6 days to go! And also got spots, right in time for my day out tomorrow, typical! How have you been feeling? Xx

FlyOnTheWall89 · 20/05/2022 14:55

Really great news @Dobcaty ! Thrilled for you. Wish I was already at that stage. Hope the weekend calls bring positive news xx

Reefy · 20/05/2022 15:04

Thank you everyone 🎂🍷🎈

@Dobcaty great number of eggs! Take it easy for the rest of the day.

Coops0406 · 20/05/2022 16:33

@Thornbird80 I don't really know anything about that protocol, sorry. Have you managed to get in contact with anyone yet?

@HJen22 yay!! Had to do it at 6am and was basically awake at 5.28am waiting! Lol. So weird that you have insomnia whereas I just want to sleep all the time...so tired! I think it's the oestrogen!
Such a good thing to keep your mind off everything! I much prefer daytime outings these days rather than the evenings 🤣 hope you have a fab day!

@LT103 good luck for tomorrow! How are you feeling? It's so hard trying to come up with excuses! I've been mostly open about things but I only tell family about transfer as I feel the pressure of everyone waiting and wondering. I would just say you're tummy's a bit dicky! Or better still get mocktails on the sly! Shots of zero alcohol gin 🤣

@Reefy happy birthday for yesterday!! 🎈 a couple of gins totally deserved!

@Dobcaty great news about the 13 eggs!! That's fantastic and if it's your lucky number that's even better. Have they called yet? How often will they update you?

@BlueSilver23 it's great to know you've had your last day on the norithisterone, I hated being on them, the bloating was unreal!

badassmum22 · 20/05/2022 17:27

@HJen I'm good thanks. Had my nurses consultation on Wedn and got my timeline - should be starting stims on 3rd July 🤞
Next 3 weeks are going to be busy at work so time will fly. I haven't told at work and don't plan to, maybe only to 1 boss but will ask her to keep it confidential.

How are you fimding Norethisterone? So far no issues for me only feeling a bit hot and it comes and goes, is that normal?

Have fun on hen party 💃

P.S. Keep hydrated ladies

badassmum22 · 20/05/2022 17:30

Just noticed I didnt tag you @HJen22 properly in my previous reply, seem to have issue with tagging. x

BlueSilver23 · 20/05/2022 18:11

@HJen22 @Coops0406 Just glad to be done with them, have definitely noticed more bloating and spots than last time round! That was a long couple of weeks. Now the fun part 🤣

LT103 · 20/05/2022 23:28

@Reefy @Coops0406 thanks. I’m ok. Just been thinking about other stuff. But in 12 hours time I’ll have an embryo on board 😬

@Dobcaty i don’t have much planned. Taking it easy this weekend and meeting a friend for lunch on Sunday but I’m working mon-fri next week so at least it should help the time pass! Not sure what day blood test is yet but I’ll find out tomorrow

HJen22 · 21/05/2022 07:15

@LT103 all the very very best of luck and love today! You've got this 💪🏻

@Dobcaty I hope you're doing well after EC and getting plenty of rest xx

@Coops0406 how did you get on with first dose of progesterone? I'm sleepy with insomnia at the same time haha. Gosh yeah, I'm so glad it's day time and the brides family will be there so I'm hoping it's a little more civilised than our usual girls days 😂😂

@badassmum22 thats great news you've got your dates and yeah with a busy time at work it will fly by! This time I've actually been ok on it other than waking up very early. I got hot flushes during stims last time and I think that's all normal! I do have sore knees but I always get joint pain strangely around AF and it would have been now if I wasn't taking the pill. Oh but I was starving yesterday!

@BlueSilver23 ugh bloating and spots suck! I've noticed spots this time. I'm trying really hard to keep my eating relatively healthy. I get into a vicious cycle of eating bad feeling bad, feeling bad eating bad!

Dobcaty · 21/05/2022 09:47

Morning girls! Sorry to not answering your questions, yesterday late lunch knocked me out completely and slept through all day and night, which was really needed as I suffered insomnia in the last few weeks. So we had a call yesterday afternoon, 12 out of 13 were mature and being ICSI by the time of the call. Just received the Saturday update call (literally woke me up) 10 out of those 12 were fertilised by this morning. I am on cloud nine! 🤗🥰 I know it is still long road ahead, but already having a better fertilisation rate, it makes a peace of my mind (for an hour or so 😅) no update tomorrow, our next call is on Monday mid morning.

@LT103 good luck w your transfer today! Let us know how did it go! 💐

badassmum22 · 21/05/2022 12:00

Amazing news @Dobcaty 😍

LT103 · 21/05/2022 13:24

@Dobcaty amazing news. Good luck for next update!!

Ive had transfer and everything went fine. Well apart from them running 45 mins late and having the most uncomfortably full bladder!! Not fun!!

grade a embryo defrosted fine and lining all ok so now I have a 10 day wait for bloods. Had injection of ovitrelle today to help boost progesterone so def not testing early l!!

Thornbird80 · 21/05/2022 13:30

Hey all

@LT103 hope you are doing ok and all the very best, hope you manage to keep you mind busy on other things for the next few days. Sending positive (quite literally) thoughts your way xx

@Dobcaty 10 fertilized is amazing out of 13! You must be over the moon with that ratio, keep us updated. Hopefully you get lots of blasto's and some possible to freeze maybe, that would be a fab outcome for you.

@Reefy belated birthday wishes and good on you for having a few drinks, we all need some down time form this journey.

I haven't heard anything 😤I am going to call again on Monday, just felt Friday afternoon is never a great time to call and get anything done and nothing was going to change over the weekend. I am of the opinion I want to get my hospital appt done next Sat and see what they say re timescales of taking my cyst out etc, as all the time it's there it's detrimental to egg retrieval possibilities. God knows with my AMH I need every single one I can! The consultant in our first appt did say ideally it would be removed before treatment so I'm going to ring the clinic and hopefully speak to someone who can update the consultant.
