@LT103 sorry I missed this- yes I self referred and bought the support belt as there was a waiting list. Tbh though I found the exercises more beneficial than the belt.

How's everyone doing? X

PMAmostofthetime · 14/03/2023 00:32

@LT103 @SamTTC

How are you feeling, how far along are you now?

@Jx3303 how is your journey going?

How's the Mama's and their babies?
For those of you that wasn't induced/ c-section what was your first signs of Labour? Did you go early or late?

Jx3303 · 14/03/2023 07:09

@PMAmostofthetime Hi lovely, how are you? Hope you're keeping well!

Been up and down, and not very plain sailing - surprise surprise! We went down for cycle 2 at the end of January but at the first scan my follicles were way too small, hormones all out of whack, so it got cancelled and we came all the way home 😔 I then had to have my thyroid and prolactin tested, thyroid came back fine but prolactin high - so we didn't get down Feb/March cycle. I had my prolactin re-tested yesterday, in the hope it's lowered. It can increase with stress (not a test I needed then haha!) but if not there is medication. A year since starting IVF and still no transfer is hard, still haven't had a full try. Trying to remain positive and we have our three frosties from cycle 1 ❄️ just dying to get to transfer xx

PMAmostofthetime · 14/03/2023 07:33

@Jx3303 sorry to hear that, but glad they are looking into everything to make sure you get the best possible outcome.
I have everything crossed for you.
I can't imagine how frustrating it is to have 3 frosties that you just want to transfer.

I hope your results are back asap and it's either lowered or the medication acts fast.

I'm good thanks- also getting a little impatient and apprehensive bit very appreciative also.

Please keep us updated x

SamTTC · 14/03/2023 09:24

@PMAmostofthetime thank you for asking! I'm 30+1 today (due May 22) and feeling pretty good still. Aside from the awful 1st trimester nausea I've been very fortunate in my pregnancy, I've kept fairly active and have only had a few onsets of pelvic pain that go away again. I also have an anterior placenta so haven't felt much - which is both nice and unnerving, it's hard to believe everything is alright in there when I rarely feel him move. But this last week or so he must have reached a size where the placenta doesn't cushion everything, because I feel lots of movements at the edges of my stomach, and my lower ribs are starting to feel pretty bruised too.
I'm solo with a donor and psychologically that's actually been pretty hard - did I make the right donor choice, will it be okay for me to raise a boy on my own etc. But I think I've worked through those doubts fairly well at this point.

How are you?

LKSF · 14/03/2023 10:29

@Jx3303 Really sorry to hear your journey, sending lots of love luck and positivity your way. That’s great you have 3 Frosties and it’s good they’re doing tests not making sure your body is in the best possible condition for the transfer - keep us updated 🤞🏼

@SamTTC The fact you’ve already made the decision to go solo and use a donor shows what kind of person you are and how much love you have to give. You will be amazing and he’ll be your little best friend 💙

LT103 · 14/03/2023 16:11

@PMAmostofthetime thanks for asking. Okish here. 28+2. Had a scan yest and baby boy is measuring big (estimated 3lb2) and excess fluid plus glucose in urine so just waiting on bloods for gestational diabetes. Sore hips too
but other than that, baby is perfect. Can actually feel limbs at times when he’s poking out my tummy. Rarely lies still. He had a wee issue with one kidney picked up at 20 week scan but they were happy enough with that yest and chance won’t need any treatment or scans etc.

how are things with you?

PMAmostofthetime · 20/03/2023 19:06

@SamTTC glad your feeling well. I'm 37+ 5 and go between wanting the baby to come now to wanting them to stay in a few more days.

Waddling now as baby has dropped and lower back pain and cramps are sporadic.

@LT103 Did you have any results.
Awwww a little boy how lovely 🥰

How much bigger than average is he?

Hope your both still well? X

PMAmostofthetime · 28/03/2023 07:30

@Jx3303 how's it going? Any progress?

How is everyone else?

I'm 39 weeks tomorrow and declined a c-section so just waiting.........

LKSF · 28/03/2023 10:41

@PMAmostofthetime Hiya, I’m 39weeks on Friday and nothing yet! I went for a S&P’s last week but my cervix was closed! I’ve got another one tomorrow so hopefully it’s open slightly so they can do it🤞🏼if no luck then I’m booked in next Wednesday to be induced x

LKSF · 28/03/2023 10:42

Sorry that was supposed to say s&s (stretch and sweep)

PMAmostofthetime · 28/03/2023 12:51

@LKSF I have midwife this week but no sweep booked in until due date-hoping she arrived before then.

Everyone was like ah with IVF they are always early as you know exact dates.

Apparently not lol 😂 x

LKSF · 28/03/2023 13:00

@PMAmostofthetime Eek fingers crossed!!
ha I know, I really thought I’d be early but can’t see him coming before I’m booked in next week to be induced!!x

PMAmostofthetime · 28/03/2023 14:57

@LKSF I go between willing baby to come, to asking them nicely to stay put 😂🙈 x

AliceAbsolum · 08/04/2023 17:56

Any baby updates? @PMAmostofthetime

Jx3303 · 08/04/2023 18:06

@PMAmostofthetime sorry for the delay! Finally cycle 2 went ahead and went well, and booked in for transfer Monday 🤞🏻❤️ a very very long awaited transfer! How are you? Xx

PMAmostofthetime · 11/04/2023 23:33

@AliceAbsolum your timing is remarkable baby girl born by emergency c-section after a very long Labour on Saturday minutes after you posted.

We are both doing great :) still can't believe she's ours 🥰

How are you all?

Any tips on breastfeeding? I'm exhausted she's up all night.

@Jx3303 amazing news? How did transfer go? How many did you transfer?

X

Steph2345 · 12/04/2023 07:20

@PMAmostofthetime congratulations!! She’s finally here!!
with breastfeeding, if you want to keep going with it, it will get easier. It is so hard the first 2 weeks in particular but it will get better.
with our LO, we stuck to what everyone said and didn’t give a bottle until my milk had properly come in etc and now she won’t take one. That’s the only thing I’d do different - I’d give her 1 a day (your other half so you can sleep) so in the future you have the option for some freedom if you want it. Your LO may be totally different though, but it may give you a little rest if you did do combi feeding.

LKSF · 12/04/2023 10:51

Oh amazing congratulations @PMAmostofthetime
im also finding breastfeeding hard - my worry is I don’t know if he’s getting enough! We started introducing one bottle feed a night so, a-I can have a little and I know in that one feed how much he’s had. X

Autumn245 · 12/04/2023 14:18

@PMAmostofthetime congratulations! So happy for you. Hope you aren't having too many sleepless nights

@Jx3303 amazing news! It's been a long awaited transfer indeed. Sending good vibes your way for a sticky embryo and healthy pregnancy x

Jx3303 · 12/04/2023 14:31

@PMAmostofthetime massive congratulations 💕 such lovely news. I hope you and baby girl are doing well xxx

Yes!!! Transfer happened on Monday! A very surreal experience - after all this time of waiting to get to this point, it still hasn't sunk in yet. Two embryos from this cycle, the best one transfer and the other added to the freezer with the 3 from cycle 1. It meant almost 2 weeks away from home, and being away for mt birthday - but so worth it to get to transfer. Thank you so much @Autumn245 ❤️

TommieNC · 12/04/2023 17:54

@Steph2345
we are in the same boat over here, where we listened to the NHS feeding specialist and waited to introduce a bottle until six weeks and she refused and is now four months and still won’t take one. We’ve tried every bottle, every method, every way shape and form and she still refuses the bottle. We saw a private IBCLC at 12 weeks and she said it is very common and we should’ve introduced a bottle at 3 weeks and given one once a day.

I had to go back to work a few weeks ago, so my husband has to drive her over every day at lunch to feed and the rest of the time he feeds her with a syringe, which she typically doesn’t like.

@PMAmostofthetime
congratulations, that is wonderful news!!!

Steph2345 · 12/04/2023 19:18

@TommieNC i am so there!! I go back on 2nd May and she just plays with the bottle teat. She is ever so slightly more likely to take the bottle if she is sat up in the corner of the sofa (ie not on our lap) and she can “hold” the bottle. But I can see my husband having to drive and see me every lunchtime with her. I work nearly 20miles from home so not ideal. We think we will bring forward weaning a few weeks to help.
but she is just amazing and it’s the only small change I would make if I could.

LT103 · 12/04/2023 21:27

@PMAmostofthetime amazing news. Congratulations!! Glad she is here safe and you are both doing well.

TommieNC · 13/04/2023 07:15

@Steph2345 it’s funny because we are also about 20 miles away from where I work and it’s the only time I’ve ever wanted to live closer to work, ha ha!!
We are planning on buying a few sippy cups and I think my husband’s gonna start trying some different types of cup feedings. I am a teacher and we want to make sure she can take more during the day so that he doesn’t have to drive over anymore the next school year.
