Thank you for the new thread and tag ❤️

I'm sorry you're feeling so rubbish @SamTTC sounds horrible. I hope you feel better over the weekend! And I'm sorry this round wasn't the one, so disappointing. The progesterone fog sounds awful and like a lot of you ladies have had it, I hope it's out of your system soon! Aw we might, my baseline scan is 30th May, when will you find out your next FET date?

@LT103 that's great news not long to wait now. And good that it's not going to be a cycle full of hormones and a natural cycle! Not good about your bug, I hope you are feeling better x

I'm so sorry to you ladies have such worries with scans and waits and the unknown, I can't imagine how difficult that is, on top of all the other emotions that come with IVF and infertility. I send all the love and hope for positive happy outcomes ❤️

Thirdtimesacharm1 · 30/04/2022 11:55

Update from the clinic this morning. 20 eggs of which 16 were mature and 13 have fertilised

Steph2345 · 30/04/2022 12:36

@Thirdtimesacharm1 wowweeee that’s sooo many!! Are you having a transfer in a few days or are you freezing?

@unCliche how are you? Any news on how your embryos are developing? Have you got a transfer day this weekend?

Coops0406 · 30/04/2022 12:55

@AliceAbsolum i'm so pleased...been hard joining threads every month thinking I'm going to be there then it not happening! But now we know we just need to wait for AF to come and can get back on the horse again.

Congratulations to all of you who got your BFPs this round, the worry still never goes away but stay positive and keep the hope high.

And same for those who haven't had the results they wanted, the journey to parenthood is a tough one for us but it will mean so much when we get there ❤️

unCliche · 30/04/2022 12:58

@Steph2345 hey lovely! Yes, we got another update today. From the six fertilised, three are good quality, one is a grade 3 4-cell, one is a grade 3 5-cell and the last is a 1-cell so this one didn't develop further. Transfer will be on Monday and hopefully we'll have two to freeze! I don't think the 4 and 5-cell will make it.

How are you getting on?

Thirdtimesacharm1 · 30/04/2022 13:59

@Steph2345 transferring fresh. They are going to ring Tuesday evening with an update and times for transfer on Wednesday.

Steph2345 · 30/04/2022 18:05

@unCliche that is amazing news! Hope you have plans to keep you distracted tomorrow. I found the wait between collection and transfer difficult even though it’s only a few days.

@Thirdtimesacharm1 i take it this is your 3rd attempt? Do you normally get such good numbers? To me it sounds like this is going really well for you! Bet you can’t wait for Wednesday

Thirdtimesacharm1 · 30/04/2022 18:15

Yeah egg collection last February first two were frozen transfers but unsuccessful. Asked for a new doctor for third attempt and after reviewing my file he thought I was over Stimulated first time. So we did he fresh cycle this time. So it will be my third transfer on Wednesday. Hoping for two good quality blasts 🤞🤞

AliceAbsolum · 01/05/2022 09:05

Finished my subcutaneous progesterone today and threw away my sharps bottle. Just 30 more days of clexane now and I'm finally done with injections.

How's everyone doing?

PMAmostofthetime · 01/05/2022 11:03

@Jampot36 I'm ok, thank you trying to keep busy to stop the wait to the next cycle feeling like forever! Only 8 days for your scan :) Hope it doesn't drag too long for you.

@Coops0406 great news on your results, I expect a huge weight has been lifted. Can I ask what the test entails?

@LT103 good luck for tomorrow :)

@SamTTC I also felt like you- the symptoms seem to hit harder when it's a BFN. I found it really difficult and for that reason I will never test early again.

I'm not using a donor but I think switching sperm donors is a good idea- if you don't you may always wonder what if?
I have no experience on this though.

@Nutrinerd sorry it's not more reassuring news but just remember most people never have a scan at this stage because there are so many variables. Your little one may just be a shortie.

@Herewegoagain881 sorry your still in Limbo- hopefully the next scan will be good news.

@LuckyNovember I have no advice sorry-
Hopefully someone can help with your natural cycle questions.

@Suki2020 not sure how I missed this but congratulations!

@Thirdtimesacharm1 20 eggs! 13 fertilised that's amazing!

@unCliche that's great news, good luck for tomorrow.

@AliceAbsolum I expect that was a great feeling! I'm just dipping in and out of here- keeping track of everyone's progress but not getting notifications as I'm trying to pass the time away until my follow up at the end of May. X

ginandtonicformeplease · 01/05/2022 11:47

@AliceAbsolum You must be so pleased! My doctor has decided that I should keep on with the lupion injections until 16 weeks due to the bleeding I had. Clexane I get to finish at 12 weeks thankfully. What about the pessaries? Are you still on those? I actually hate them more than injections, but again, week 16!

Coops0406 · 01/05/2022 12:11

@PMAmostofthetime I'm a bit like you, dipping in and out.
They just took a biopsy of the womb, lasted about 30 seconds and just felt like bad period cramps. They test to check what the microbiome of the womb is made up of and that there are none of the nasty bacterias that could prevent implantation. And then whether on that day the endometrium was receptive, so mine was pre-receptive which they say means I need an extra day of progesterone before they transfer.
After your follow up are you wanting to jump straight into another cycle?

AliceAbsolum · 01/05/2022 14:20

@ginandtonicformeplease Yes I'm on those 4x a day until I taper off at week 12. Bloody things, I'd rather inject too!

Somatronic · 01/05/2022 19:16

Hi all, just checking in. Only found the thread now!

I'm absolutely exhausted the last 2 days. Just woke up from a 2 hour sleep. Yikes.

Doing my official test tomorrow so hoping the line will still be there. l will hopefully be back next week with more energy!

TommieNC · 01/05/2022 19:29

@AliceAbsolum it’s great that you only have 30 days left of injections. As soon as I see the midwife they will put me on clexane immediately and I’ll stay on it until 6 weeks pp.
I’m excited, but anxious and the word “hopefully” is being used a lot in my current conversations. How are you feeling?

AliceAbsolum · 01/05/2022 19:56

@somatronic tiredness is a good sign 👍

@TommieNC Why will they put you on clexane?
I'm OK. Trying to keep busy. Really glad everytime I feel nausea. Just wishing my life away until the 12 week scan really.

@Nutrinerd When's your next scan?

AliceAbsolum · 01/05/2022 19:57

Meant to say, sorry if there is too much early pregnancy talk. I know that can be difficult for people. We can always make a grads thread on the pregnancy board.

Leedsgirl88 · 01/05/2022 20:34

Hello everyone, hope you are all well! I’m looking for some advice. I hope you don’t mind me asking. We had a fresh cycle which was successful and resulted in our now 4 year old little girl. I have just started medication for a FET. I’m on day 4 of Oestradiol (zumenon) 2mg oral tablets. This morning I’ve woken up with a really bad back, feeling really hungry, sick, dizzy, being bloated and constipated. Also feeling really tired. Did any1 else have side effects like this? And what did you do to cope with them? Thank you so much. Good luck to all!!

Leedsgirl88 · 01/05/2022 20:36

Forgot to say I’m taking 3 tablets now and it will go up to 4 on Wednesday.

TommieNC · 01/05/2022 21:26

@AliceAbsolum I think it would be great to chat with you and some of the others about our experiences, anxiety, etc…
Clexane: I have a bmi of 37, did long haul travel over the last 6 months and am 41.

Steph2345 · 01/05/2022 23:58

@unCliche good luck tomorrow with your transfer! Have everything crossed for you xx

@LT103 i hope your call goes well and you’re able to get started again soon!

@Thirdtimesacharm1 do you have updates in between days or are you just having to wait until Wednesday for your transfer?

@AliceAbsolum that might be a good idea, we can still support these ladies here and hopefully everyone will be back in 1 group again

PMAmostofthetime · 02/05/2022 00:11

@Coops0406 Iv asked for further investigations or as I'm on the NHS permission to pay privately for them.

Previously they were unable to complete a HSG- but I have a dummy ET and the actual ET and my stim scans show kissing ovaries and along with my very painful periods and no ovulation all indicates Endo- so I'm keen to look into this, to see if I need to have some of the tissue removed for a successful cycle and if actually my tubes are clear and there are no issues- I'm going to ask them to consider clomid and or IUI before going through IVF again. I just feel like they jumped straight to IVF because I was waiting for 4 years for my GP to refer me.

Your results were very good news then and very incite full. Fingers crossed for your next cycle :)

@AliceAbsolum not sure about others but I like all your updates- gives me hope :). I have days when I'm low but your guys stories don't make it worse it makes it better- how ever social media posts asking me do I want the latest baby product get to me- or a leaflet through the door for a new 3D scan.

X

Thirdtimesacharm1 · 02/05/2022 00:44

@Steph2345 we don't get an update until Tuesday evening. On our first egg collecting we got 16 eggs, 13 mature, 6 of which made it to day 5 (4 of these are still frozen). Hoping to get to get at least two good quality blasts this time. This will be our last attempt. I'm 39 in June and always said we'd give it three attempts and stop by the time I was 40.

SamTTC · 02/05/2022 09:30

I think it’s great that you are all sticking around this thread! You might want to join an actual pregnancy thread as well of course (especially to ease some worries about ivf pregnancies) but feel free to update us here, too :)

@Somatronic how did your blood test go?

I am officially BFN and can stop the meds - a small mercy. Really hoping my period starts asap. I’m nervous about my cycle having gone off balance again, since it’s been so regular recently. I’m worried I messed it up with all the drugs.

Next step for me is thawing and transferring my last embryo, a day 6. Going to ask for a natural cycle this time, if the clinic thinks it makes sense. Both because I’m soooo tired of the drugs and because I want to get my body’s rhythm back if I need another egg collection.

Nutrinerd · 02/05/2022 09:31

@AliceAbsolum next scan is in 8 days. Last scan was 8.15mm. It’s with an obstetrician this time so at least I’ll hopefully get some straight answers. Mostly I’m just after help with the symptoms/side effects!
@PMAmostofthetime I try to hope this, that maybe the measurements are just out a little, though it’s been 2 different experienced scanners.
@Leedsgirl88 I put mine mostly down to the progesterone as that’s when the symptoms mostly kicked in but I’m on zumenon (as pessaries, ugh) as well. I’m now up to macrogol powders & intermittent senna after spending a small fortune on dates.
