How are we all doing? I'm loving it but it's bloody hard work isn't it! I think I'd really struggle if I hadn't been desperate for her for so long.
She's 2 months old on Monday and really starting to grow out of her newborn squidge.

DH and I keep debating what to do about the frosties then say "but we've got ages to decide". Pregnancy was so horrible for me, but maybe 2nd time around it's better.

When's your due date @PMAmostofthetime? March?

@AliceAbsolum 2 months wow!! Hope you are all doing well!!

we had 20 week scan about 10 days ago and baby boy doing fine. Just started buying stuff so have pram and car seat etc set for delivery in April. It’s flying by and starting to feel very real!!!

AliceAbsolum · 28/01/2023 08:30

@LT103 ah that's great news. You're over half way now. How exciting!!

PMAmostofthetime · 29/01/2023 22:48

@AliceAbsolum 2 months already! Hope your settling into a routine. Anything I should definitely buy and anything I shouldn't bother with?

We have 2. Frosties I think we will use them when this little one is around 18 months and then if they don't work we won't do any new cycles.

Im due the very beginning of April, I'm nearly 31 weeks, my bump has dropped already! Noticed earlier.
Is this normal. How many of you went the full 40 weeks?

@LT103 lovely news x

Coops0406 · 30/01/2023 06:48

@AliceAbsolum I can't believe she has been here for 2 whole months! Amazing!

We're now in the 3rd trimester which is great, although got diagnosed with gestational diabetes on New Year's Day so that's another thing to contend with! 🤦🏾‍♀️ 4 pin pricks a day to test blood sugars and got to be careful with what I'm eating. And back on the blood thinning injections now until birth. But aside from the faff of it all, I feel good, finally belt baby move at 24 weeks and now feel him/her regularly 🥰
Baby's estimated weight is up near the 95th centile which was a shock as all babies in my family have been 5-6lbs! But consultant seems happy and said the head and body are measuring on the 50th centile, just leg length is up near to top centile!! How accurate these growth scans are I don't know, but back at 32 weeks to be checked again.

@LKSF congrats on hitting the halfway point! It's a great feeling isn't it! Ahh, so good ordering stuff go baby! Makes it feel so real!

@PMAmostofthetime wow! I feel like my bump has only just gone from being quite wide to actually popping out forwards! But I mainly feel baby move really low down so not sure what that means!

We have 1 frostie left and will definitely use it, just not sure when and will be 41 next year so can't leave it too late!

Jx3303 · 30/01/2023 07:10

I can't believe I have missed all of these updates, my apologies I don't know how! New name but previously HJen22 💕

Massive congratulations to all the new arrivals, and good luck to those of you close to welcoming yours x

We have changed clinic and are on our second cycle out of 3. Last cycle we amazingly got 3 frosties in the freezer which was a huge milestone for us 🥹 After almost a year of ivf and no transfer the plan this cycle is to include a transfer rather than wait til after cycle 3. Everything crossed 🤞🏻

LKSF · 30/01/2023 07:32

Hi All,
Glad everyone’s pregnancies are going well, and congratulations to those of you who have your bundles of joy in your arms 🥰

We have 4frosties left, the plan is to go again when baby is about 1, but I don’t think we’ll truly know until he arrives…He might be a little handful and I might decide 1’s enough 🙈

@PMAmostofthetime Aw have you, I feel like I’ve carried quite low the whole time….it’s funny how literally everyone’s bumps are just so different.

LT103 · 30/01/2023 19:33

@Jx3303 how exciting!! Fingers crossed this cycle goes well.

I had my midwife appt today and last I will see her until baby comes as my growth checks are all being down by scans at the hospital. It’s going by so quick!

PMAmostofthetime · 30/01/2023 23:14

@Coops0406 I'm really short so my bumps been out front since around 17 weeks.
I was hoping to hide it but no chance.

Awww more injections seems so unfair.
I have to have the blood thinning ones after the baby is born and I'm not happy about that.
When is your due date? A friend just had a baby estimated 9lb 2 baby born 8lb 1 so they don't always get it right.

@Jx3303 Hello, nice to hear off you, where are you in your cycle?

@LKSF I've been really high, but feel like I can breathe and slightly less heartburn since it's dropped.

I still don't believe it real. I wish the next 9 weeks would hurry.

@LT103 how far along are you now? I have crow scans and midwife apps right up- it's strange how different area's do different things.

X

LT103 · 31/01/2023 00:05

@PMAmostofthetime im 22 weeks today. I have so far only been seeing the community midwife but I’m now just seeing consultant +/- hospital midwives and have scan every 4 weeks from 28 weeks.
currently trying to pick between planned section and early induction. Struggling to decide but I guess there’s still time

LKSF · 31/01/2023 07:14

@PMAmostofthetime Aww that’s good that you feel. It more comfortable now with it dropping a bit. I know it feels so surreal still doesn’t it! I feel like it’s flown by but these next 9weeks are going to go so slow 🙈 have you bought much?

AliceAbsolum we are doing well, it is definitely hard work but so worth it. baby girl 1 month old today, I can hardly believe it, as they say time flys! We have 3 frosties which we will most likely use (would like one more child) but I hated pregnancy and didn't have a good birth so the thought of going through it all again with a child at home to look after at the same time is very daunting.

Lt103 wow half way point is very exciting! Things didn't start to feel real to me until she was born haha and even now I sometimes wonder if its all a dream.
I opted for induction purely as wanted the experience of labour & pushing, and didnt want the longer recovery of a section. now I wish I'd had section as by birth was so painful and they couldn't find a space in my back for epidural 😂

PMTmostofthetime not long to go now! I was induced at 39 weeks but thinking I would of gone close to due date had I been left as I was already getting some mild contractions before the induction. My bump never dropped though but might have something to do with me having polyhydramnios so baby girl never got engaged and kept bobbing up and down in the fluid.

Coops0406 sorry to hear about the GD, I was convinced I had it but 2 tests showed I didn't. My girls blood sugar was low at birth so I still believe I had it and that was the cause. She was also on 95th centile and predicted to be 9lb 5oz but was only 7lb 11oz when born so way off the estimate!

Jx3303 welcome back! I've been thinking of you wondering how you've been getting on. I'm glad you have 3 frosties! Sending lots of luck your way for successful transfer 🙏 🤞

Lksf I know the feeling about not being sure when to try for second child. I always thought I'd like them to be 2 years apart which would mean try again when she's a year old but time will be the deciding factor if she's a handful or an angel

So a recent friend went for an induction and then ended in an emergency c-section which was not nice for her or the baby. This has made me completely change my perspective as I was dead against planned c-section before this.

So so much- the baby could come tomorrow and we would be fine.

We have all the basics now I think and I bought lots of clothes in the sale in bigger sizes.

I just need to get my hospital bag stuff the babies is done.

Have you bought much?

PMAmostofthetime · 31/01/2023 22:23

@Autumn245 I can't believe she is a month old already 🥰.

My posts went weird for a while, I had to deleted and re-
Download the app.

9 weeks feels like forever, and I cannot stop shopping 😂🙈 x

LKSF · 31/01/2023 22:47

@PMAmostofthetime Aww lush, yeah once Christmas was over that was my green light to start shopping so we’ve got most things now although I’m trying to slow down and spread it out 🙈 that’s exciting you’ve done baby’s hospital bag, I can’t wait to do the hospital bags!x

PMAmostofthetime · 31/01/2023 23:29

@LKSF I definitely need to stop now-never mind slow down.

I've gotten a little excited finally x

PMAmostofthetime · 15/02/2023 14:26

Hi Everyone, how are you all doing? How are the little Babies that have arrived. How's Motherhood.

Where is everyone else on their pregnancy/ IVFjourneys

X

Autumn245 · 15/02/2023 18:50

We are good. Almost 7 weeks old now, went to our first baby group today. Wasn't much to it just some mats and toys on the floor for the babies to play with so the older babies that can sit up and crawl had fun but smaller ones not really much for them yet. Was nice to meet other mums and have a good chat though. We have a baby sensory class next week so hoping thats good!

Hope everyone is doing well.
were 24 1/2 weeks now and he’s currently been kicking me for an hour solid!! Starting to get sore hips now but other than that feeling fine! Can’t believe how quick time is passing!!

PMAmostofthetime · 16/02/2023 20:28

@Autumn245 7 weeks I can't believe how quickly that's gone. Although in my world right now it doesn't seem like 7 weeks will fly by 🙈 33 weeks and officially fed up, not that I want baby to come too early but I'm sure you all know what I mean.

Glad your getting out and about :)

@LT103 I got sore hips and pelvis- went to physio and the exercises have really helped.

My little one comes alive at night and it feels like they are having a party in there x

SamTTC · 16/02/2023 20:46

@LT103 wow we're so close together! I'm 26+3 today. :) My anterior placenta is blocking most of the kicking, but I definitely feel it sometimes.... I am also having a boy by the way. So far I've been extremely lucky in my pregnancy, except for absolutely horrific nausea for the first 12 weeks (which already feels ages away), I really have just been feeling pretty normal. We'll see how long that lasts as I get into the third trimester 😅

Next week I start a pregnancy water workout class and also a birthing preparation course, I'm excited and anxious for both. It makes everything feel very close somehow, even though I'm not due for another three months!

By the way, I took a trip to JoJo Maman Bebé the other day and bought this absolutely adorable little set... I honestly don't think anything has gotten me quite as excited for this baby as those dungarees hahaha! Highly recommend.

LT103 · 16/02/2023 21:15

@SamTTC oh that set is adorable. I have bought a few little things but I need to sort out a list of what I need. Water workout course sounds interesting. I have pregnancy yoga and nct classes starting in March. There are no nhs antenatal classes in my area for some reason.

@PMAmostofthetime did you self refer to physio? I’ll maybe look into that
