@AliceAbsolum @ginandtonicformeplease huge congratulations!!! Must be such an amazing feeling! Hope you and little babas are all okay 🥰

@PMAmostofthetime nah! Hubby wants the surprise at birth! So we're waiting! Still not feeling any movement and have an anterior placenta so we'll see when I get to feel something! Hopefully soon. How are you?

@LT103 fab you have had your 12 week scan and having minimal symptoms!

Good luck to you all who are imminently due! Exciting times ahead 😍

PMAmostofthetime · 07/12/2022 07:52

@Coops0406 my anterior placenta moved but I'm 23 weeks now and have only felt movement the last week- didn't realise it was movements at first.Yesterday was the first day it felt like there was a party in there.

Steph2345 · 13/12/2022 03:17

@PMAmostofthetime I hate to say it but I had PGP from about 22 weeks right the way through! I also had pretty bad reflux from week 26 so slept sat up. The things we do hey!!

sorry for delay ladies, we had our little girl last Monday! 11 days early but all going well so far. Birth was pretty quick which was such a blessing.

@AliceAbsolum congratulations on the safe arrival of your daughter! Glad it went well for you!

xx

Steph2345 · 13/12/2022 03:18

PMAmostofthetime · 13/12/2022 04:04

@Steph2345 Congratulations! Wonderful news :) hope your both doing well :) x

SamTTC · 13/12/2022 20:30

@AliceAbsolum first of all congratulations, I am so happy for you that you made it and have your beautiful baby safe and sound.

and thank you for tagging me. I completely checked out of the forum last summer after finding out I had to wait till after the clinic break and my polyp removal before I could have another transfer.

well, I had my transfer in August, and it worked! I am 17 weeks with a baby boy, due date May 22 🥰
it is great to see so many of you that I remember struggling with now also expecting, how lucky we have all been! Wishing you all well in the coming months 💜

AliceAbsolum · 14/12/2022 05:31

Ah so wonderful to see everyone's updates!

Nutrinerd · 14/12/2022 12:04

Congrats @Steph2345 @ginandtonicformeplease and @AliceAbsolum on your arrivals! Our little girl was born last week. She’s small but doing ok and growing!
@SamTTC so pleased to hear your update!

LT103 · 14/12/2022 16:11

Oh congrats everyone on the safe arrivals. Seems like no time at all we were all going through transfers. Time has passed so quickly it scares me. I still haven’t fully got used to the idea I’m pregnant yet haha. We have our gender scan next week which I hope will help!

Suki2020 · 14/12/2022 18:26

Congratulations @AliceAbsolum @Steph2345 @ginandtonicformeplease @Nutrinerd that’s great news.
I went for a growth scan today and baby is measuring slightly small so looks like the want to induce me. I’m 36.5weeks do they’ve said probably between 37-38 weeks for induction. Little worried about being induced. Has anyone else been induced?

PMAmostofthetime · 14/12/2022 23:12

This thread is sooo amazing right now :) love all the wonderful news- I hope others drop in and see that treatments all different kinds can work.
Have you all names your little ones? Did you choose names before or after they were born-
We can't decide on names at all 🙈

@SamTTC congratulations amazing news, how are you feeling?

@Nutrinerd congratulations on your safe arrival! Wonderful news.

@Nutrinerd I'm 24 weeks now and only the past 2 weeks where I feel the strong kicks so I believe it. 🥰

@Suki2020 I've got one planned there's different methods what one are you having? Pessary my or balloon? X

Somatronic · 15/12/2022 07:50

@PMAmostofthetime I agree this thread is great at the moment. It's amazing to hear all the good news! I'm struggling with names too. I have 2 shortlists but I'm not in love with any name really. We'll see what it looks like when it arrives.

@Suki2020 I'll be having one if I don't go into labour by my due date. At antenatal classes they said inductions can cause a more painful labour so I'll probably get an epidural early on to manage that.

Congratulations @SamTTC and @LT103 on your fabulous news.

And huge congratulations to all the new mums! Incredible news @Nutrinerd !

TommieNC · 15/12/2022 12:54

It has been many months since I’ve been on here, but wanted to check in on everyone and their journey’s.

Congrats to all of the new mums and well wishes to everyone else where ever you may be on your journey.

I had my little girl on Monday, 5 December, the first c-section of the day. She weighed 6lb 8oz and is so dinky and beautiful. We are calling her Aveleen.

We spent 5 days in hospital since my bladder was attached to a lot of scar tissue and they were afraid there might have been a hole or tear in my bladder. I was sent home with a catheter for 10 days, but after more testing on Monday confirmed I’m all good, I am so posed to have it taken out tomorrow (thank goodness).

PMAmostofthetime · 17/12/2022 22:45

@Somatronic nothing seems perfect does it?

@TommieNC congratulations!!!!! What a beautiful name, how are you both?

Girls are definitely outweighing boys atm.

I hope your all doing well. X

AliceAbsolum · 18/12/2022 02:18

@TommieNC congratulations! I was also the first section of the day on the 5th :) 08.49am she was born.

Somatronic · 18/12/2022 10:32

@TommieNC congratulations! Such a beautiful name. I hope you're both doing well!

No sign of a baby here yet. Have another 18 days til my due date. I'm hurting all over and keep having nightmares about not being able to feed/find/look after my baby 😖 Can't wait to have my own body back.

PMAmostofthetime · 25/12/2022 10:50

Wishing you all a Very Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas as pregnant ladies

Merry Christmas as Mammy's

And Happy 1st Christmas to the little ones who have safely arrived 🎄🥰

For those still on the journey take some time to enjoy yourselves 💕

Autumn245 · 06/01/2023 07:35

Well today is my due date but i have been blessed to have had my baby girl in my arms for 6 days now. Mila Alex Martin born 31st December 12.21pm, weighing 7lb 11oz 🥰

Was a planned induction at 39 weeks exactly, and a very fast one at that! I was originally going to be getting the balloon but babys head wasnt engaged and I was told there was a risk of cord prolapse if my waters broke with the balloon as I had polyhydramnios. So I got started with the pessary instead at 4.30pm Friday 30th Dec. Had to ask them to remove it after 12 hrs rather than the 24hrs it was meant to stay in, as I was having regular strong contractions and couldn't handle the pain! Headed to labour ward at 7am Saturday 31st where I was told I was 4cm dilated. Check again at 9am and I was 6cm. By 10am I was 10cm and ready to push! They couldn't get an epidural in my spine (tried at 8am for 40-50 mins) as there wasnt a big enough space between the bones of my spine apparently 😲 so did it all on gas and air. With her head not being fully engaged due to high fluid levels, it kept bobbing up and down, so breaking waters was fun! They had to push my stomach down to keep babies head in place while slowly releasing the waters. Babies heart rate kept dropping and after an hour of coached pushing the decision was made to go to theatre and have a forceps delivery. The spinal block gave me instant relief! Baby was back to back so they had to turn her first using the forceps then after only 3 pushes with the help of the forceps she was born.

I didn't get delayed cord clamping or skin to skin like I wanted as she had to be rushed to nicu. Her breathing was a bit funny as her cord had been wrapped around her head and her arm! Finally got her back with me at 11.30pm 31st Dec just in time for the bells 🔔 🎉

Congratulations and what a beautiful name- hope your both doing well x

LT103 · 06/01/2023 13:20

@Autumn245 congratulations and glad you are both doing well now!!

Somatronic · 08/01/2023 18:46

Congratulations @Autumn245

Mine was fast too. Had my baby on Friday. Overstimulated on the pessary within a few hours and was in agony. Begged them to take it out. It went in at 8.30am and came out at 3.30pm. The moment it came out I went from 2cm dilated to 6cm in under 5 minutes and after another 5 or 10 minutes I was fully dilated and being rushed to the delivery suite while I screamed my head off. No pain relief! I repeat - NO PAIN RELIEF other than 2 panadol at 1pm. Active labour to delivery was under a half hour.

Very dramatic. Extensive damage to birth canal obviously as it's my first baby. Baby is fine and so am I other than the obvious war wounds and mental scarring! Hopefully I'll make it home from hospital tomorrow.

We have no name yet. She's 7lb 15oz and absolutely gorgeous.

Autumn245 · 08/01/2023 19:17

Thank you @PMAmostofthetime @LT103 @Somatronic we are finally settled into our baby bubble at home. Breast feeding is going well and She sleeps well just not always in her next to me cot, loves being held!

@Somatronic wow that sounds like a very intense labour! Glad you are both doing well x

Somatronic · 08/01/2023 19:29

Oh, I did get my epidural in the end (or the spinal whateveritscalled) when they stitched up my 6 2nd degree tears in theatre straight after the birth 😭

PMAmostofthetime · 09/01/2023 01:16

@Somatronic congratulations! Girls seems to be dominating at the moment.

How your recovering well and baby's doing ok?

X

LT103 · 09/01/2023 08:14

@Somatronic sounds a bit hectic for you but massive congratulations and hope you get home today!!
