Horribly!! 9 eggs, but only 1 fertilised normally, it's horrendous 😭

9 eggs is great, and last time with my 6 eggs the maturity rate was 2/3 and the fertilisation 100%, this time maturity was 1/3 and the fertilisation 30%.... my first cycle was only 2 months ago and it's driving me crazy because I don't understand what's happened 😔

I'll have a 3d transfer on Monday, but I'm so pessimistic I don't even think I want to go through 2 weeks of gross pessaries and bloating just for a BFN...

Sorry, I'm on such a downer today 🤷🏻‍♀️
Gonna go out in my bike now to clear my head... thank you for asking, these boards are the only thing keeping me sane sometimes 😊

@LuckyNovember I'm sorry to hear this, but don't give up yet. It only takes 1, i'm hoping this one works for you. Did you have ICSI? I hope you are ok 💕

I’m new on here and I’m just posting to see if anyone is or has been in the same boat. I’ve had an egg retrieval in feb with the hopes of having a fresh transfer but they got too many eggs so said I had to wait and have a FET. The injections for my egg retrieval weren’t too bad! I was a bit more emotional but all in all it wasn’t a terrible experience. Fast forward to this month I’ve started taking my oestrogen… im struggling. Really struggling. Luckily I have a supportive wife but im only 2 days in I cry at EVERYTHING, I’m beyond tired after a period from hell and I’ve passed more clots in this period than I have ever before (sorry for the over-sharing) also I have period cramps most of the time and lower back ache… I can handle the pain but the tiredness and insomnia is killing me! Any idea how long this will last? Will I ever sleep again? 😂🤦🏻‍♀️

@Bands21 I had a terrible period when taking oestrogen and then the week after I kept feeling sick and had hot flushes and then I went back to normal. So all in all was probably about a week. Fingers crossed you will feel better very soon.

Hi I used to be more active on this thread and I know a few of you will remember me. Hope you are keeping well. @Gigi89x I remember you wondering how many I would have. Well today we went for 6 week private scan and found out it’s twins 😍 we are over the moon. They saw two gestational sacs each with a flickering heartbeat. So looks like both 4BBs must have stuck and no splitting into triplets or quadruplets thankfully. Wish you all the best with your future cycle and if you need any help or advice just let me know xx

@Bluehawaii29 OMG im soooooo pleased for you!!!!!!! 🤩😍 how exciting!!!!! I really had a feeling it was 2 !!😆 we have lots of multiples in this group!!! was this scan done separate to your normal clinic?

@Gigi89x thank you ❤️❤️ Yeah it was an early scan we went for in the end as the waiting was getting too much. Have the clinic scan 2 weeks away but just good to know what we are dealing with and making sure I get enough rest now so have told my work and will be taking the next few days off to have a breather and enjoy my birthday on Tuesday xx

@Gigi89x thank you, yes it does ease the anxiety for now, just got to keep praying the little beans do well but definitely need to manage my stress/ anxiety better from now on so doing relaxing things like reading, watching movies etc and just chilling now. Have you managed to watch all of us are dead yet? X

@Gigi89x just our parents know at the moment and thought it would be a nice surprise for Mother’s Day for our mums. I remember the wait leading up to the consultant appt, it was pretty long but once you start it’s surprisingly fast so hang in there, won’t be long now! just get your body in the best shape, I did quite a bit of gym in January I remember and just focused on healthy diet etc, carry on taking your prenatals too I’m sure you know this stuff. keep me updated how it all goes xx

Hi all! I had another scan this morning, and I'm having my trigger tonight (3x gonasi) and EC Wednesday morning. This will be third freeze all for PGT.

Speaking of PGT @Gigi89x @Overlyanxious @XjustagirlX I don't know how often it's is done, but my consultant suggested it as an option after we had 2 failed rounds. (1 no implantation and 1 mmc at 8+ weeks). It was suggested that with no other explanations identified for the failures, it could be that chromosome irregularities was the reason. Age is a factor and I'm 42 now. We decided to do 3x embryo batching and testing and hope to get something for later transfer. We have been testing as we go and have 2 normals! One from each round so far. (1/1 blast first round and 1/3 blasts from second). It's not cheap! But we are hoping it will save us time, and if we have one work out and still have one left there maybe a chance at a sibling.

@LuckyNovember sorry the EC/fertilisation wasn't better news. Fingers crossed the one makes it to transfer!

@Bands21 your side effects sound rough. I hope it evens out! I will be doing FET the soonest that my clinic recommends after my freeze all EC this week. But I haven't done one yet, sorry no tips to help.

AFM we had a surprise when I went for 3 day transfer today... turns out the two embryos that didn't take, managed to correct themselves and catch up, to everyone's surprise 😳 very unexpected but lovely news!! I now have 2 "very good" embryos on board and they're keeping the third to see if it will go to blast... now for the 2WW 😬

@Bluebonnet3 they’re not too bad now they’re getting better thanks! But was rough to start with. It’ll soon be your turn though 😁 good luck on Wednesday!! Hope it goes well for you 🤞🏼

I’ve got a scan a week today to check my lining if all is good I’ll be having my transfer on 9th 🤞🏼

I had 5 day egg transfer in February and had by bfp. However, today was my early scan and unfortunately it was a live ectopic pregnancy so I was rushed to hospital for an operation.
I’m ok, mixed feelings at the moment - I’m gutted this pregnancy wasn’t meant to be but very relieved the ectopic was found before anything ruptured.
Once I’m recovered we’ll be doing a FET

Oh that's heartbreaking @Clarps84 I'm so sorry you'll go through that 😢
I hope the procedure goes well and you're well looked after, I can imagine it's a pretty difficult thing to accept. It's really unfair.
