@MollyVanDer i have had the natural killer cells test. It was a biopsy. I was found to have high nk cells. I was prescribed prednisolone to take if I get a positive test.

So it sounds like spotting could happen with progesterone but not full on period starting. So maybe progesterone stops af and turns it into spotting or light bleeding.

@Millymillymillymillymilly wow that’s amazing! Maybe your embryo split and you got more than one, that’s a very high level and wouldn’t bother repeating. You should be fine to wait for your scan xx

@Bluehawaii29 I only transferred one because I didn’t want to take the risk of both implanting. But I guess we shall see at the scan. If it ends up being twins, I think we will just be as happy (my husband wanted us to put in two in the first place🤣)

Nurse hasn’t called me yet to confirm the appointment but they are saying it will probably be the week commencing the 4th

@Millymillymillymillymilly that’s fate for you! Wow lucky your scan is a week earlier than mine. They said they had to keep my date on week of 13th as heart beat can’t be detected before that?

@Bluehawaii29 I think heartbeat can be detected from 6th week onwards. However, there’s a chance where they can’t so they have to rescan again at 8 weeks. I guess your clinic is being cautious and not want to give you the agony of not getting the heartbeat and making you come back again later. If I get my scan week commencing the 4th, it will be 7 weeks by then. Hopefully will get to see everything I need to see🤞🤞🤞 How you feeling nowadays?

@Millymillymillymillymilly lol I know it’s only been 3 days since I did the test but every day is so different and feels like ages. Mostly tiredness and nausea is worse in the mornings. Finding it hard to swallow my pregnacare now. How about you x

I need your collective wisdom ladies 🥺 Had my CD8 scan today - that's after 6 days of stimms - and my follicles seem to be growing very slowly... there are 7 between 5-10... doc says it's a bit slow and if they don't pick up it might be an option to cancel the cycle!!! How long have people stimmed for? I go for another scan on Monday... I was not expecting that, I thought it seems pretty good since I'm sure there were only five follicles this time last round!!

@LuckyNovember my first cycle was similar even after 9 days of stimms biggest follicle was 13mm then they just exploded and grew loads in 3 days. Ended up triggering on day 13, EC day 15. For some cycles the follicles grow a bit slower day 6/7 still is early days

@XjustagirlX what was the biopsy procedure like For NK cells? How far in advance did you have it from completing a transfer? Sorry for the questions anything you can share would be great.

Thanks for all the well wishes ladies. Clinic have asked me to test again tomorrow and then if still negative to stop meds. I've one frostie from this cycle so we will prepare for that

@MollyVanDer i actually had the nk biopsy before I had started ivf. It was during Covid when the nhs fertility testing just stopped completely so I paid £500 at Coventry to at least rule out nk cells after my 3 miscarriages.

For me it was painful but I am a massive baby with pain. Tu pain only lasts 10 seconds and they gave me gas and air. I got the results two weeks later I think. It was definitely worth it to get a prednisolone prescription.

@Bluehawaii29 I’m good. Just can’t believe it 100% yet. Also tired all the time but can’t seem to sleep past 5am which is annoying. Eating smaller portions as I get full up a lot quicker nowadays.

@LuckyNovember I believe I stimmed for 10 days. Good luck! There’s always a chance the follicles will catch up in the next few days :)

@Millymillymillymillymilly hi was just about to message you. I’m exhausted, had day time nap after shopping and still got the wrong size maternity bra so need to return! Really tired and couldn’t finish lunch at Wagamama plus could only go to couple shops before we had to head home. Also waking up 5-6am everyday and can’t go back to sleep. Today I managed to stretch it to 6am which is the latest I’ve got up all week! I did one of those clear blue digital today with the week count. According to leaflet if it says 2-3 weeks then your dating is actually 4-5 week. Mine said 2-3week on it. Did yours look like this too? x

@Millymillymillymillymilly I got one more in the pack so my plan is to test again in couple weeks and hope that it says 3+ which would reassure me a bit that it’s progressing instead of doing blood tests but It’s so hard getting through each day without any worries

@LuckyNovember I think I had 12 days of stimming on my fresh cycle which gave us 5 blastocysts. The follicles were lagging behind but managed to catch up and they collected 8 eggs in the egg. 4 wee frozen from that cycle and 2 put back this time which resulted in the BFP. Good luck! X

@LuckyNovember I had 12 days of stims. They started growing around 1m a day but after second scan some grew 2.5-3m a day

@Bluehawaii29 @Millymillymillymillymilly what supplements have you been taking during your ivf cycles?

@MollyVanDer just used to take pregnacare for preconception daily and cod liver oil daily. I had a lot of pomegranate/ cranberry juice and I did the pineapple cores a week before transfer and 5 days post transfer/ I was having Brazil nuts 2 a day all the way through cycle and still do now along with handful of almonds

@Bluehawaii29 I'm still getting the ovary pain its horrible 😩. The nurse said i should see my GP or a polyclinic. Do you think this is something my GP would help with? I was wondering why she didn't suggest to book me for a scan at my own clinic who knows the situation etc?

@Gigi89x aww sorry to hear it’s still bothering you. My incling is that it may be a small cyst from all the treatment you had in the fresh cycle but i am not sure why your clinic couldn’t do it for you. Hopefully book an on the day urgent appt with your GP and ask them to do the scan but problem is that it can be a few weeks wait usually. If it’s really bad I would suggest a&e and explain you’ve just had fertility treatment and they might be able to do it urgently for you

I had been finding this turn much less stressful, but I suppose there's always something to worry about 🙄🤦🏻‍♀️ Courage all!

Thanks @Bluehawaii29 I've heard some women take Vit D and probiotics as well which I don't do so interesting learning what others are taking.

Definitely going to have a NK cells test
