@Jennie154 yep, d5 embryo as well :)

Jennie154 · 16/03/2022 18:57

With my last transfer we were just told we were having a 3 day transfer due to only having one embryo. This time they have said it’s our decision. We know if you can get to day5 that is usually better but do we risk getting to day 5 and having nothing. When we asked the embryologist what she would do she said if an embryo had the potential to implant then it would do no matter what day it was put back on.

MollyVanDer · 16/03/2022 19:00

@Jennie154 our clinic only do day 5 transfers on the basis if an embryo can last to day 5 in culture then it has a strong chance of working out if not then it wouldn't have worked in the body. Really tough choice for you. Trust your instincts x

Has anyone experienced a heavy period after their failed cycle has ended ? Im off progesterone now & my period has been so heavy I'm having to change tampons every hour instead of several hours. My OH has just had to go out and get me pads also as I'm current leaking through constantly 😩 I'm wondering if its where i have a thicker lining to shed after Stims etc?

Bluehawaii29 · 16/03/2022 22:06

@Gigi89x heyy are sorry you are going through that, sounds awful. I can’t say mine was noticeably heavy to be honest. After the cycle it was just like a normal period to me but the following period was very heavy compared to normal so maybe caught up the following month. Hope it gets better and you have a hot water bottle xx

W1ngingit · 16/03/2022 22:28

@Gigi89x Hi, so sorry to hear that it's bad. Someone asked exactly the same question a few days ago and said the same thing (having to change pads every hour). I also think clumps of tissue were mentioned (sorry tmi). But I know others said that they had had the same experience especially after coming off Progesterone. I hope it doesn't last too long.

Gigi89x · 16/03/2022 22:39

@W1ngingit @Bluehawaii29 thank you both xx

@W1ngingit after you said that i searched tbe thread and found the post you mentioned thanks

@IVFGotThis05 the same heavy bleeding is happening to me! What did your clinic say about it? How are you now?

IVFGotThis05 · 17/03/2022 10:03

@Gigi89x I didn't bother asking them to be honest. The heavy bleeding and clotting only lasted two days, a few of the girls in here just said it was normal. I will still mention it on my consultation phone call though just to be sure but I'm sure it's just off the medication ! If you are worried give them a call but mine didn't last long at all. Hope your okay :)

Hi all! Congrats to the recent BFPs and twins and triplets!

It's been a while since I've posted, maybe a month or more. I did my first 2 rounds of embryo batching in Jan-Feb (back to back) and I've just had my baseline scan to start the third round. We are freezing all and PGS testing as we go. We have 2 'normal' Frosties, one from each round earlier this year. (Out of 4 tested). Hoping to get another this round, then start FET.

I should start stims tonight, just waiting for nurse to call with the dosage, after they get the blood test results (hormone panel).Looks like we're going straight in with no down-reg.

Good to be back!

Gigi89x · 17/03/2022 15:25

@IVFGotThis05 thank you, i hope it doesnt last long its horrible! 😩 how are you doing? Have you booked your next cycle? Im awaiting for my follow up consultation

IVFGotThis05 · 17/03/2022 15:48

@Gigi89x I hope it stops soon for you ! I haven't yet, when I rang to give the negative result she had me a little confused on the phone, she asked if I wanted to go straight ahead with the next frozen embryo that we have or speak to a doctor, I said just go ahead with the next one but she never gave me any instruction.. I was a bit of a mess on the phone so didn't really take in the conversation, so now I'm not sure what I am meant to be doing ! but my period has been and gone so it looks like I will just be waiting for my next cycle anyway and having my final FET next month !

I say final but I mean as in my last frozen embryo then I will start another fresh cycle after that.

What about you what's your next step ? Do you have any in the freezer or would it be another fresh ?

@Bluebonnet3 Also welcome back !! Have you heard if you are starting stims ! It seems you have had quite a busy time with needles ! I bet you can't wait to actually go ahead with the FET!

Had the loveliest experience at the clinic today. I went in for a repeat HCG, they do another test after 48 hours to check it's doubling (it is :D). When I came in, the nurses all came over to speak to me, the DR came in whilst I was having my bloods done to say congratulations, even the receptionist (who now knows me by name) had a big congratulations for me. I'm so glad I chose the clinic, they really are the best!

.

Bluebonnet3 · 17/03/2022 16:41

@IVFGotThis05 in some ways I'd love to go straight into FET, but we have decided this is our last chance to get any eggs, as I'm turning 43 in a few months.

Two egg collections in the space of 3 weeks was pretty intense, so it was good to have 6 weeks off!

I'm starting stims tonight with an interesting cocktail of cetrotide, buserelin, and meriofert.

Normally I'm home and get DH to do the shots, but the next two nights I'm out, so I'll have to do them myself... out of the comfort of my bedroom. 😬

Bryterlayter1 · 17/03/2022 16:50

@bluebonnet3 you did 2 ECs in 3 weeks? You are a warrior woman! I found the whole process so hard on the body I left months between cycles, but I wasn't banking so bit different. I've just seen you've got 2 "normal" embryos, you must be over the moon those are great results (speaking as a fellow over 40).

FlowersFlowersFlowers

Congratulations!!! I missed out on so much! I logged in to wish you luck for tomorrow and see you've got your bfp. Hurray! Fingers crossed it's another multiple success.

Do you know, over all the threads I have been on for the last two years, I think this is the one that has had the most multiple pregnancies!

Bluehawaii29 · 17/03/2022 17:59

@EasterBunny7 aww thanks for remembering me! Yes very relieved and pleased with the result, scan booked on 13th April 🤞🤞 how are you? Any more thoughts on how many you’ll be transferring? Xx

EasterBunny7 · 17/03/2022 18:02

The triplet thing scares me but twins would be lovely to complete our family and make up for all the lost years. All around me, people are onto their second and third children and I just want to join them!

Bluehawaii29 · 17/03/2022 18:05

@EasterBunny7 yeah I totally hear you, I guess it’s all in Gods hands and He will give you whatever you can cope with best xx

Gigi89x · 17/03/2022 18:08

@Bryterlayter1 im so glad to hear your hcg is doubling! Congratulations 😁did you have 1 or 2 transferred?

@Bluebonnet3 wow you have done incredibly, good luck for this cycle! & sounds like youv earnt 2 nights out! 😆

@IVFGotThis05 i will be doing a FET next too. Got my follow up with consultant in 2 weeks to discuss it. Iv never had a FET , I'm hoping it doesn't take too long! It sounds like you had a FET before, how long did it take till transfer?

@Bluehawaii29 how are your symptoms today?

Bluehawaii29 · 17/03/2022 18:16

@Gigi89x heyy not too bad, still but gassy and get stitch type pains in my side sometimes when walking outside, also constipated today but eating bit more now and enjoyed the pizza yesterday and had leftovers at lunch today Smile. How is your bleeding now? Hope it’s settling xx

Ivfhopefull · 17/03/2022 18:19

Hi ladies, anyone with Access fertility? Would you recommend them? Im turning 39 next month so wont qualify for their unlimited programme but considering 2 rounds package.

Gigi89x · 17/03/2022 18:19

@Bluehawaii29 unfortunately today its still going on today & i went back to the office today since not being in from December. Terrible timing today! I went home early in the end , hopefully it slows down by tomorrow. I did speak to the nurse and she said its likely to be from all the meds (long protocol)

Bluehawaii29 · 17/03/2022 18:23

@Gigi89x aww sorry to hear you had a stressful day with it but glad you managed to get off a bit early to rest. I don’t think it should go on for too much longer. It’s amazing how everyone has a different experience coming off the meds x

Daisychain93x · 17/03/2022 18:25

Hey Everyone,
Hope you don’t mind me joining!
Great to hear of so many positive stories!
Recently had our first IVF/ICSI at the beginning of the month, which unfortunately wasn’t successful. Now a waiting game for a frozen transfer!
I can totally understand now why IVF is described as an emotional rollercoaster!
