Sorry about the BFNs this morning.

I am on day 9 of stims. I'm not really experiencing any side effects, beyond my sleep being a bit weird. No bloating or cramping. I know this probably means I'm just lucky but I'd like to feel something as reassurance things are happening! I had a scan last week and my follicles were a bit smaller than my doctor expected so he upped my medication. Is it normal to not really feel symptoms?

@thislittlebird oh no! Hope your GP calls soon and offers some reassurance and help. Does your asthma flair up when you are feeling particularly stressed? Hope you are feeling better soon and it’s nothing serious!

@xreadytoglow I would think you’d be ok for Thursday as you’ll be in between EC and transfer! If you have a day 5 transfer, it won’t be until Sunday!

@NaomiNatNat I was crazy on progesterone on my first round! Was crying and emotional about everything!! It was definitely the worst part of the treatment for me!!

@kennetrose I had occasional days when I felt a bit bloated or tired, but generally felt pretty normal throughout stims so I wouldn’t worry too much! When’s your next scan?

@kennetrose I was fine on stims and had a few twinges at most.

@crazycatlady1981 no, my asthma is very well controlled and rarely gives me issues. Which makes me think I’m sick in some way to have this issue. The clinic are going to call me and ask if I’ve been to urgent care and I’m going to say no :/ but I really didn’t feel like I wanted to go there and the GP will likely see me without all the waiting if need be.

@crazycatlady1981 @thislittlebird thank you! Hearing others' experiences gives me reassurance.

Next scan on Wednesday so hope it shows some good growth. Given our infertility is unexplained I have all sorts of theories running through my head. I'm sure you've been the same.

@kennetrose yeah, I’m guessing we all do that sometimes. We have male factor but I’m still convinced in the back of my head that it’s my immune system or hormones contributing too. Hopefully we’ll make some blasts and I can breathe a sigh of relief. Obviously I’ve no idea if they’ll implant but it feels like one hurdle jumped.

@IE00 snap…. We are on exactly the same days.

Fingers crossed the situ changes for both of us and BFPs are on the way. Feeling gutted today though and already trying to make a plan in my head for an FET!

@thislittlebird I also wondered about that, they said they will only call beforehand if there's an issue.
As for your symptoms, do you think you're having a panic attack? I hope you feel better very soon. Xx

@Hopeful199 good luck for Friday! Why are you not feeling hopeful? Also how long do you have to wait to start again? I don't get periods so I'm not sure what the "next cycle" is

@crazycatlady1981 oh I can defo relate! Went for a walk down my road last night and busrt out into tears!! 🤣 how long are we meant to stay on progesterone for?

Thanks @IE00…. Most posts I have seen people have at least a feint line by now that develops. Mine was a stark BFN and have periods signs so feel like it’s going to be me out.

Apparently you wait 1 full natural cycle before an FET. Not sure if you don’t have a natural cycle, guess they would have to amend the drugs for a medicated cycle for you. Fingers crossed you won’t need it x

Thanks everyone. I had a good chat about putting 2 back in . She said we qualified for one to be frozen,m but then she said they can be damaged when thawing and with time not really on my side t would probably be another 6 months before I could get back in because of waiting times etc. So I spoke to my partner. We'd already decided last night to go for 2 any more to be frozen we just though Fk it! And went for it. We have a neither cycle if we need it . The embryologist did say they were better than last time so fingers crossed.

Got to go for bloods on 26th . Last time they gave me a test as they weren't doing bloods bc of the bottle shortage. I can take a test but they wouldn't use it as reliable source.

So fingers crossed from here onwards.

@NaomiNatNat if we get a bfp, I think some people stay on it until viability scan and I’ve seen others on it until 12 week scan!

@Justawannabemam great to hear you are PUPO! We are also thinking of transferring 2 this time, we weren’t allowed last time as it was NHS, but obviously depends if we actually have two to transfer by day 5! Fingers crossed for 26th! x

We had no doubts we were going to . We no it will be hard work but we don't have no other children and unless this is unsuccessful we won't have time to try again for another In a few years.

I heard them mention embryo glue. ? Have I been reading about this on here . What's the situ with that ? Just makes them stick a bit better.

@NaomiNatNat I don’t think so, it’s definitely all chest related and has been ongoing for a few days. Doctor thinks I’ve got a chest infection so has given antibiotics. Clinic is happy with that. I’m not sure I am because I don’t want to kill off all my good bacteria but I’ll do a bit of reading on it. Also will totally give me thrush so if I do start them I might have to start post transfer.

@Justawannabemam I’ve thought about two, if we get two. It sounds like a good call!

Like @crazycatlady1981 said, it can vary. I’ve been told 8 weeks which I’m not thrilled by since I’ve always had low progesterone. I’ll cross that bridge when we come to it.

@Justawannabemam glad it went well and amazing you got two put back in. Hope you are resting up now.

My embryos are great - out of the 5 we have one 4AA (transferred today), one 5AB (already frozen) and 1 or maybe two that will be checked again and possibly frozen if they get good enough quality. Crazy how the numbers dwindle isn't it.

Unfortunately the transfer wasn't as smooth as I expected. They kept saying my bladder wasn't full (i was lying there worried if they pushed that sensor any harder on top of my stomach I would pee in the doctors face as I was so desperate for a pee!!)

So feeling a bit deflated about today as everything else has been so positive to date, but know I have done all I can and have a good embryo in me now so I just need to relax and wish away time!

We have to wait for 2 weeks tomorrow to test, does that seem right?? I thought it was 9dp5dt?

@WhiteLily86 mine is the 26th. I'll.probably do a test on the Friday and call them. I need some more medication which they would give me a prescription for . But I checked today and the pharmacy is shut on Saturdays.

@WhiteLily86 congrats on being PUPO!!
I think all the clinics differ with OTDs. Mine is always 14dp5dt, but most clinics are usually 11dp or 12dp, so I usually test with a FRER at 11dp5dt and then use the clinic test on OTD just to confirm.

Does anyone know when AF should arrive after a failed cycle? My last progesterone was Friday morning (9dp5dt BFN beta) and still no sign at all... is there really no part of this process that doesn't revolve around waiting and being bloated 😫 🤦🏻‍♀️

@LuckyNovember I remember it being a few days after I stopped the progesterone. It can be a particularly nasty period. I'm so sorry-it's a horrible process. Take care of yourself xx

Congratulations on being PUPO @Justawannabemam and @WhiteLily86.

Exactly the same thing happened on my transfer-he said my bladder wasn't full and couldn't find my uterus on the scanner so had to transfer it blind. I was so cross that I stomped off to the toilet thinking how dare he mansplain my own bladder to me. Got to the toilet and he was absolutely right 🤦🏻

@Justawannabemam heyy great news about 2 embryos on board! We also made a U turn on our decision end of last week that we are just going to go for it and put our 2x 4BBs back this cycle if they both survive the thaw. We’ll still be left with 2x 3BBs so figure we might as well take a chance. We are also using embryo glue. Been told it can help implantation. Are you on progesterone injections now or just the pessaries? Plan is for time to have both this time x

@Justawannabemam we made the decision after reading some articles that when 2 different grade embryos are transferred sometimes it can have a negative impact and the lining may reject the lower grade one and then the one that may have been successful will also fail. So we figured if we just did one 4BB this cycle then if we were to put two back next time we didn’t want to do the 4BB+ 3BB. It was so mind boggling but I pray we made the right choice 🤞🙏🏽
