Quick question re when to expect my period or bleed following egg collection? We froze so haven't been taking progesterone. Have a special occasion later and planning on wearing a very delicate dress...Googled - varies widely and I've a few pangs now at 9 days post EC bit seems unliely..dont wanna get caught out (or wear jeans) Thanks!

@Eggbert83 I think it should follow your normal kind of cycle length still if you haven’t taken progesterone. Maybe prepare for it to be earlier by a few days?

Hi I am in similar position to you. Wanted to stim for longer but they told me they like balance ones that are ready versus over ripening. I was told they would take anything over 10-12mm but some smaller eggs tend be immature so they can’t use them even if take them out.

Know exactly how you feel. I scared I will have nothing left to transfer as well. It’s so stressful :(

@xreadytoglow Monday- dreading it. I thought I had done everything right this cycle but follicles lower than last time :( fingers crossed for you too - when’s yours?

@KN4321 I'm still waiting for my Dr to call me to see whether they want me to trigger tonight or tomorrow.. so either Monday or Tuesday.
It's done now.. nothing we can do to change it. So we just have to have a positive mindset, treat our bodies well and wait for what's to come. I have absolutely everything crossed that we'll be okay 🤞🏼

Update on my eggs, out of 8 eggs 7 fertilised but only 3 are looking 'nice' but wasn't given the grading like I've seen on here. The remainder won't make it. So not sure what grade 'nice' is lol next update on Monday. Massive drop from 8 eggs though but still staying positive and hopeful 🙏🤞❤🥚

@NaomiNatNat glad to hear there are in the running which is still good considering you only expected that many a few days ago, right? That’s positive! I didn’t get told anything either. They just said come in Wednesday for a IVF Kinder surprise 🥴 (my words, not theirs!)

@thislittlebird just checked with clinic again. Advised not to take oral . This nurse said can take the cream up to EC and after. However, on Thursday a different nurse said that can’t use in day before EC. Did you use the cream up to EC and after??v

@NaomiNatNat hi that’s still good, I had 5 out of the 7 fertilised make it on day 3 and then all 5 made it to day 5 so hoping that you have all 3 make it! At the moment they can’t give you the specific grade until day 5 but even then I was only told what the grade of the one they chose was. It’s only now that I’m doing a FET that I found out all the other grades through asking but if they are good enough to freeze then they are considered good enough to transfer x

@KN4321 I used a pessary a few days before EC and the cream up to Wednesday or Thursday (EC Friday) but it was the external one rather than internal, and I don’t see how that could hurt since you’d shower/bath that morning anyway and it would wash off. They probably don’t know enough about it to give a definitive answer. If erring on the side of caution then probably best to take it after EC, that way it can’t hurt your eggs and you aren’t at transfer yet. How many days from collection are you? You might find it clears up when stims stop like it did for me, or at least massively improved.

@thislittlebird thanks for the advise. My collection is Monday morning - so will stop external cream Sunday then restart after EC. I have my last injections today. Did you continue those tablets you recommended until ET? Might Amazon prime them for tomorrow

@KN4321 I think I was taking them a few of days before EC. I just have one per day when I need to and it all seems a bit better for it, plus they're safe when ttc from what I've read because they're only bacteria strains, but they do a specific pregnancy one I'll move to if any of this ever works out in a BFP.

I've had the call from my Dr. They want me to stim for one more day. So trigger tomorrow night & EC on Tuesday. It's suddenly all getting real 🥺

Good luck with those 3, @NaomiNatNat. I have no clue how many will make it to next Wednesday. My clinic would call today if none of them fertilised. In any other case, we won't hear anything. Keeping my fingers crossed. I'm hoping at least one makes it this time round. They transferred a morula on day 5 last time but that didn't implant properly. 😞

We got call today to say out of 7 that fertilised 5 have made it to day 3, so happy about that although still a bag of nerves as know everything can change with just one phone call.

Transfer scheduled for Monday AM.

Does day 1 start on EC day or the day after? I should've asked what stage they're at. Will try not to obssess too much, I'm already googling pictures of embryos 😂 can't help thinking about my little potential babies in a dish in a lab ❤

Is it possible to get a faint positive at 4dp6dt? I know I’ve definitely had one by 5dp5dt. It’s really hard to find out through google! I want to test early.

@thislittlebird great to hear you got 9 fertilised! That’s brilliant! My clinic is the same and we don’t hear anything at all until we arrive on transfer day! They don’t check them in between as it’s better to leave them undisturbed, than keep taking them out to look at!

@xreadytoglow we are EC buddies!! 😀 the extra day should give those 2 smaller ones chance to catch up so hopefully you’ll get 6! What time you in for EC? I’m at 8.45!
