So finally had my planning call after egg collection in March. I was thinking they would do my transfer next cycle but nope I start on Monday which will be cd11!! Bloods every 48hrs initially to decide on transfer date which will likely be the following week! Feel like I’ve had no time to plan now. Eek!

Hi everyone, good to hear @2mumlife you're having a wee break and that @Kamiros your cycle is recoverable. What a hassle though!!!

@mrsmacmc I'm glad it's died down, however the one piranha still doesn't sound like fun! Yes for sure, keep at them for an update! I'm the same, I hate being centre of attention and bothering people!

@LT103 that's fantastic news! Maybe a good thing you've not much time to worry about it beforehand, but I know what you mean in the same way it's been a surprise and you feel unprepared! So do you take no meds at all until after ET?

I'm feeling sorry for myself today, I've toothache which isn't what I need, got an emergency appointment yesterday and back in two weeks for root canal. Just what I need before starting another cycle. So I was just in tears hating all things life 😂 so dramatic but sometimes everything just gets on top of you doesn't it!

Sorry to hear about your toothache 🤞🏻 your root canal goes ok on a fortnight, quite justified to feel in a dark cloud mood ❤️

@HJen22 ugh toothache is just the worst. I hope it’s sorted soon

we had booked a last minute city break so we’re over in Amsterdam just now which had been nice and relaxing.

with natural cycle I get bloods every 48hrs so they can identify when ovulation is and then I get a one off ovitrelle injection on day of transfer. No other meds

@LT103 Thats exciting! Remind me, how many Frosties did you have? It’ll be great to have a natural transfer - I dis all mine with meds but I live in hope that a pregnancy might make
me more regular in the future so that we could just do natural transfers in the future!

@HJen22 Hope your toothache is better

Just home from break - was good to get away and got some good walking in despite some rainy mornings. Actually felt quite proud of myself for keeping on managing hiking :)

@2mumlife we have 7 in the freezer so although I was concerned about the natural transfer as I worry my progesterone levels have always been borderline, they assure me they always do natural when your cycle is regular and have better success rates with natural so I’m just going with it. I’m not sure if/when tHey measure progesterone but I’ll find out.

@LT103 Wow thats a fantastic number to be working with! There's got to be a viable embryo in that batch just waiting for you :) I didn't have progesterone measured even with the medicated cycle - they only measured the estradiol from what I understand.

Hope everyone else doing away okay. I'm a bit frustrated as cannot for the life of me get donor sperm ordered. ESB who I'm using seem to have changed a lot of their policies recently and whereas you used to be able to reserve a "slot" ( only allowed 10 families from one donor in UK) they don't allow this anymore, plus their stocks are low. I'm not quite at the stage of asking you all if you know any suitable men but I'm getting worried - I'm so blooming old too 🤬

@HJen22 hope toothache much better. Dental pain is the absolute worst x

Had my first appt today for FET. Just for bloods so they can predict ovulation. Results back after couple of hrs and nothing yet so back again wed and fri for more bloods. Hoping for transfer end of next week 🤞🤞
I can’t believe how quickly it has come around.

@LouScot That sounds really frustrating. Have you considered using a UK donor (I know our clinic had a small selection) or a different sperm bank? Maybe check with clinic who else they'll receive shipments from?

@LT103Ah exciting! Hope ovulation happens soon :)

@2mumlife still waiting. Had second bloods today and to go back on Friday…..starting to get a little colour on opk so hoping for weekend then transfer next week🤞

Hi all. Hope everyone is doing well. @LT103 Sounds good for transfer, wishing you loads of luck. @LouScot Sorry you're still having problems getting donor sperm, I didn't realise the stocks were so low, so frustrating.

Sorry I've been a bit absent, I got covid and was quite ill with it, all OK now. We're all set to head out to Spain at the end of the month for our mock cycle, I'm somewhere between terrified and excited. I guess either way we'll be able to move forward - donor eggs will work or they won't. Off on holiday in a few days first though so if nothing else I should be totally relaxed.

@LouScot I'm so sorry you're having a hard time getting sperm ordered! Are there any other companies or is ESB the main one?

@Kamiros oh no! Covid sucks! Hope you're on the mend! My OH and I were pretty poorly with it too and didn't feel great for weeks! That's great you're all set to head out at the end of the month! Will be here before we know it! And glad to hear you've holidays beforehand! When is your birthday party? I started norethisterone again today; going to try and not eat my bodyweight in chocolate and carbs this time round 😂🙈

@Kamiros Urgh! Sorry you had covid after all the other things going on at the moment! Hope you're feeling better and can enjoy a break before the mock cycle :)

So it’s all systems go here. FET is on Saturday 😬😬😬. Not sure if time yet. They’ll call once embryo thawed to tel me when to go in

I got more good news today. I've been matched with a donor who met all of our criteria, she's signed all the consents and we're set. So excited. I'll never know who this woman is but I have so much love for her.

Thanks. I'm out on 31st for my tests and mock cycle. All going well I start real cycle on 23rd June. We'll know how many eggs/ blasts etc. we have by then- we're guaranteed 5 so would go again if we don't get that. They've also decided that they're not happy with my thyroid antibodies so will be putting me on a steroid throughout the cycle and up to 12 weeks if successful. I've been shouting about that the whole time so I'm so pleased they're doing that.

@Kamiros delighted things are going well, you deserve it.

@HJen22 im just trying my best to pretend it isn’t happening and I’ll just deal with it at the time haha. Otherwise I’m spiralling into endless google searches
