October FET- Cycle buddies?

I started my stims on Wednesday as the beginning of my long protocol for my FET.

I am looking at end of October for my transfer 🤞🏻

I have PCOS and had ISCI for our treatment.
We have 4 blastocysts frozen!

Looking for any cycle buddies that are transferring around the same time 🙏

I’m on my second round of IVF, the first in August we only had 4 eggs, but all of them fertilised and they put back two (one a VEB), but no BFP. For the current round, I had my egg collection on Tuesday this week and was delighted that we had 11 eggs this time, 9 of which fertilised. But today I had a call from the embryologist saying that there are still 6 in the running, but they’re a bit small and there are higher levels of fragmentation than they would like.

Hoping for any stories of embryos making good progress between day 3 and 5! We weren’t planning on a fresh embryo transfer in any case, but still crossing all fingers that we’ll have some embryos to get PGT tested and freeze…..

So glad it’s the weekend tomorrow - my productivity after the embryologist’s call today has been nil!!!

Hi @FETOCT2021 we are super close!! My test day 8th!
I have been going to acupuncture for the last month.. I actually found both quite relaxing as I have been following meditations on an app called Mindful IVF (it looks like a cloud) and I find his voice really relaxing.

It's strange. I was just feeling really calm.. I think I'm just terrified of getting too excited.. surprisingly, I slept really well last night so im hoping that continues.
How have you been feeling since?

@99pctpractice welcome. The embryo I’ve just had put back wasn’t promising so they left it until day 6, it turned out good enough to freeze. Once thawed (last Wednesday) it went on to expand and then completely hatch. Sometimes they need a little longer to catch up.

Will you be doing a fresh transfer or freeze all to test them?

I’m feeling ok, I’m absolutely exhausted. Feel bloated, sharp pains in abdomen and I’m completely off my food (most unlike me). Not sure if it’s symptoms or all in my head

@FETOCT2021 that's interesting about the pains- I have had a few tugging sensations today but wouldn't call it pain? Also no issues with appetite. Keep me updated!

Thanks @FETOCT2021 we did a fresh transfer that didn’t result in a bfp last time and I just thought that (given my age, was I’m 40), I’d rather get PGT and not have any embryo to transfer than take a chance on transferring an untested embryo….I thought with more eggs we’d have a greater chance of at least some of them developing well at this stage!!

Good luck with the 2ww!!! It’s good to hear that the late developers can still make it to hatching so fingers crossed….

@LemonyT they finally rang me yesturday embryo
Was thawing they say it can take a good few hours. Finally transferred I’m a nervous and trying to relax it was my final embryo

So I’ve been a crazy bitch and decided to test on 2dpt (obviously no line). But tested today on 3dpt and I think I see the faintest line! Photo attached - I’ve used a negative view as it’s otherwise hard to pick up on camera. Am I going mad or can you see anything?

I see it @FETOCT2021. Too faint to take as conclusive, but encouraging! Was it there within the time frame? Because your embryo was hatched, it could have implanted quickly 🤞

@Holskey yes it came up within a minute. Glad you can see it, it makes me feel less crazy. I know it’s inconclusive but yes very promising 🤞

@FETOCT2021 how exciting!! I definitely see it.. really hope it darkens over the next few days for you.. you're so brave. I'm waiting until the test day they have given as I don't think I'd be able to cope with a rollercoaster of looking closely at tests not properly knowing xx

I survived the first progesterone shot this morning, I was nervous because I've been doing all the injections myself until now but for these I need DH's help. He did a great job so I'm relieved!

@J2020m I know I totally didn’t intend to but then whilst clearing out a draw I found a stash of old tests (still in date) so I caved! I’m thinking I might throw them away and not test until the 7th 😅

@Azahar8 wow you’re amazing for doing all the other shots yourself. I got my husband to do them all! Glad the progesterone one went ok x

I did the shots myself because it made me feel in control but it's actually more fun and relaxing when we do them together. And I don't see how huge the needle is :)

@FETOCT2021 did you get any symptoms day after transfer? I can see a very faint line good luck🤞

Yes I had sharp pains in my abdomen and lower back ache plus really tired and off my food. I suppose these could all be related to the progesterone though x

@sweet211 I had my transfer 18/10, bfp 23/10, otd was yesterday and scan booked for 23/11. Hopefully many more from this thread will be joining me for the scan wait very soon! 🤞

@FETOCT2021 good luck 🤞 for you I’ve got no symptoms yet Just had slight stomach cramp in morning.

I caved and tested this morning 10dp5dt, it was a BFN. I’m going to try again on OTD (Tuesday) but it’s looking like I’m out.
