@canoechick so sorry to hear this 😔 don't loose hope, stay positive, rest and get your body prepared for the next round. Thinking of you x

Etonmess20 · 08/11/2021 19:40

@canoechick gutted for you, sending love xx

Sarah2328 · 14/11/2021 16:57

Hey everyone how you all doing x

HereToLearnAndShare · 16/11/2021 10:45

Hey @Sarah2328 I honestly dont feel very well in the last 4-5 days, I have nausea almost all the time and I dont sleep very well. I know it's normal for the 1st trimester, but I cant imagine how would I keep up if I constantly feeling like this for the next 2 months or so 😨
How are you doing?/when is your 12 week scan?

OP posts:
Sarah2328 · 16/11/2021 11:41

@HereToLearnAndShare sorry to hear this, but look at it as a good sign, bubba is clearly growing. Over the last week nausea has really hit me, constant feeling sick. I'm 9 weeks today, so still got another 3 weeks, I have my first appointment with the midwife on Thursday but it's all done over the phone, so I assume they will give me an appointment for my 12 week scan.

However i do have a private scan booked in for Friday. Clothes are deffo very snug
On me now 🤣🤣

Try ginger biscuits when your feeling really sick, I found they helped a little but this week they are not touching the sides 🤣🤣 xx

Etonmess20 · 16/11/2021 11:54

@Sarah2328 @HereToLearnAndShare sorry to hear you're both feeling rubbish with the nausea. Hope you both feel better soon!

@Sarah2328 good luck for Friday, the difference since your last scan will be amazing to see!

@HereToLearnAndShare have you got a date for your scan with Guys?

All good over here, I'm 14+4 & have a 16 week appointment with the consultant next week as IVF is a "high risk" marker for pregnancy. Midwives are hopeful I will be signed off back to them as I have no other high risk indicators so fingers crossed. 20 week scan has been booked for Christmas Eve which will be lovely

Hope everyone else is doing well x

Sarah2328 · 16/11/2021 12:01

@Etonmess20 nearly 15 weeks that's amazing 😍😍

Do we all have to see a consultant at 16 weeks?

That 20 week scan will be amazing, are you going to find out the gender. Glad everything is all going well for you 😘. Xx

Etonmess20 · 16/11/2021 13:37

@Sarah2328 it really does go quick!
I'm unsure about everyone else in other areas but my midwife said it's due to the IVF so I imagine it means everyone who had IVF would (it was mentioned at my booking appointment)
No we're not going to find out, do you think you will?

Sarah2328 · 16/11/2021 15:47

@Etonmess20 oo okay, I imagine it will
Be for us all then.

I won't find out personally whilst At the gender reveal scan, but will get them to put it on a bit of paper as Im hoping to do a gender revel party with family xx

HereToLearnAndShare · 17/11/2021 11:31

@Sarah2328 thank you for the advice! Will buy ginger biscuits today and try. I find mint tea helpful as well. But I do hope the sikness will not last 3 months 😲
Gender reveal party sounds amazing! 🥳

@Etonmess20 I am glad you are doing well 😊
My 8 week scan will be on the 29th Nov ☺

Sarah2328 · 18/11/2021 06:50

@HereToLearnAndShare let me know how you get on with the ginger biscuits, hopefully they help you.

Not too long to wait until your 8 week scan, you must be so excited.

Tell me about it the nausea I'm having at the moment is unreal and it comes at all times off the day 🤮 but it will be worth it in the end once our little bubba is here ☺️

I've got a private scan tomorrow then out with the partners family for a meal to tell them the news ☺️ so excited to tell them as his mum is a midwife. Xx

Sarah2328 · 28/11/2021 18:53

@HereToLearnAndShare good luck for tomorrow ☺️ x

Etonmess20 · 28/11/2021 19:03

@HereToLearnAndShare good luck tomorrow, will be thinking of you

Hope everyone else is well ❤️

HereToLearnAndShare · 29/11/2021 09:49

@Etonmess20 @Sarah2328 Thank you so much both 🥰
Tbh I am bit worried as I have spotting again. Its more like brown discharge but makes me concerned about the litle one. Hope everything will be ok 🙏

OP posts:
Etonmess20 · 29/11/2021 09:51

@HereToLearnAndShare I had brown spotting episodes a handful of times throughout the 1st trimester. Just try & take it easy & not worry. What time is your scan?

Sarah2328 · 29/11/2021 10:17

@HereToLearnAndShare fingers crossed 🤞🏻🤞🏻 everything will be fine with little one, brown seems like old blood, as @Etonmess20 says try not to worry 😘

I have faith 🤞🏻❤️🤞🏻

@Etonmess20 hood your doing well x

HereToLearnAndShare · 29/11/2021 10:18

@Etonmess20 I am trying not to panic and I know it happens with about 30% of the women, but I cant help it.. It makes me feel very anxious.
The appt is at 3:30 pm

OP posts:
Etonmess20 · 29/11/2021 10:23

@HereToLearnAndShare it used to make me feel the same so completely get it. Least you'll be able to get some peace of mind later today x

@Sarah2328 I'm all good thank you my lovely, hope you are doing well too x

Sarah2328 · 29/11/2021 10:26

@Etonmess20 I'm doing well thank you, 11 weeks tomorrow 😬😬 still getting morning sickness 😩 but other than that I'm al good 😘 x

Etonmess20 · 29/11/2021 10:29

@Sarah2328 wow doesn't time fly? I'm 16+3 now!
Hope your sickness starts to ease off in the next week or so (if not sooner!) x

HereToLearnAndShare · 29/11/2021 10:34

@Sarah2328 thank you. I hope so! How are you doing? How did the anouncement to his parents go? Do you still have nausea?

@Etonmess20 I have heard that second trimester is the best one. A friend told me she had lots of energy and the morning sickness was gone. Is that how you are feeling too?

OP posts:
Etonmess20 · 29/11/2021 10:37

@HereToLearnAndShare if I'm entirely honest I never got any sickness anyway but I do feel a lot less tired than I did. I can make it through the day without a nap now 😂

HereToLearnAndShare · 29/11/2021 10:43

@Etonmess20 ah lucky you for the sickness! I lost almost 4 kg because I feel sick most of the time and find it hard to eat properly. I am glad you are feeling less tired now. Hope you worked from home during the first trimester 😅

OP posts:
Sarah2328 · 29/11/2021 10:55

@HereToLearnAndShare the announcement couldn't have gone better, his parents were over the moon ☺️

@Etonmess20 ooo you so lucky no morning sickness, to be fair I've not actually been sick just been the nausea, I've had friends that have had it really bad so I feel lucky I've not been too bad.

Xx

HereToLearnAndShare · 29/11/2021 17:45

@Etonmess20 @Sarah2328 Thankfully its all good with thelitle one and it has a heartbeat 💓 I am so happy (And relieved)🥳
The nurse said the spotting could be from the passaries, they could cause some irritating.

They discharged me from Guys now and I will need to choose a hospital for antenatal care.

We are considering doing a combined test in around 11 weeks. Have you ladies done that?
