Thank you @L4ur4Loui5e84, really helpful, feeling nervous about starting treatment and not knowing the different steps deffo doesnt help!
For the meds, did you have to do anything to receive them? I have tried contacting them given Im due to start in 2 weeks but they have just replied they’ll be in touch a week before my period starts. Just worried I won’t get the meds in time?
Re your FET, are they as many meds as for EC? Did they tell you the treatment plan straight after EC? Hope your current cycle is going well and that you get your BFP very soon! Xxx

@Emiwaly I was definitely nervous too. What I will say is the staff and the nurses at the ACU are really amazing. You will feel very looked after ☺️
About a week before my period was due I contacted them again as hadn’t heard from them (definitely pays to keep chasing!) After a few emails they then sent me my treatment schedule based on the start date of my period with a provisional date to go in for the baseline scan and what week your EC will be (date to be confirmed during your scan around day 10). They also ordered the medication at this stage. Please don’t worry, the medication can be delivered next day as long as it’s ordered before 1pm and they’re very prompt at delivery!
For FET, I take oestrogen tablets for about 2 weeks then they scan you and give you a transfer date (depending on the thickness of your lining) They will at that point tell you the date to start progesterone predators as well that you pop in twice a day.
I spoke to a really lovely nurse before my EC who said if I wanted to start FET on my withdrawal bleed to speak to one of the nurses when I’m in recovery after EC and they would sort out treatment plan and give a prescription for the meds. Of course I forgot as your head is all the shop. But I called them them a couple of days after and they sent through my treatment schedule and ordered the medication for me which arrived the next day.
Don’t worry about the medication, you will get it in time. I guess they have a list of people that they know they contact at a set time whereas when you’re our side of it and the patient you want to know EVERYTHING in advance for peace of mind and to have one less thing to worry about ☺️ Please ask away if you have any other questions. I know how hard it is when you don’t have all the information about what’s going to happen.
Thank you so much 🙏🏻 Wishing you all the best for your first cycle and that BFP very soon ✨ xxx

Hello ladies

@Emiwaly most likely I will be starting at the same time as you, just received an email to select whether I want to start in Feb/March and to let them my expected period date. I am excited and nervous.

@L4ur4Loui5e84 at what stage did you get the nurse appointment to learn how to inject yourself and how long did you have to do that? where in your cycle did you start? Sorry about all the questions, I am just thinking about it too much. Thank you 😊

@Talaa it’s no problem lovely, I found this forum really helpful when I was starting and it gives you a little peace of mind knowing all the information up front.
I received my treatment schedule about a week before the predicted start date of my period. They will at this stage give you a provisional appointment for your base line scan. You will have your nurse appointment the same day you go in for your baseline scan and bloods. If your period is late they will just reschedule the scan. The scan has to be done between day 2 to day 4 of your cycle. I emailed them the day my cycle started and I went in the next day.
The appointment all in all was about an hour I think. You have your scan, have your bloods then wait to see the nurse who goes through everything. The ‘learning to do the injection’ is literally a few minutes. She just shows you which angle to inject at and where is best to select for the injection site. I was so worried but honestly there is a QR code with a video that demonstrates far better and a step by step instruction guide which shows you how to fill the injections etc. You do quite quickly get into the swing of it. Try and get someone to do it for you. My husband did all of mine, I numbed the site for about 2 minutes and didn’t feel a thing. He was very gentle. I did do a couple myself and was surprised at how easy I was able to do it! You’ll be amazing too 🤩 xxx
