@user1479588581 I'm so sorry you're in that limbo state of not knowing. Hope your scan next week is more positive. I thought there were issues with pgt testing after the thaw (because they would then have to re freeze the embryos, so that you get the results pre-transfer?), but perhaps the Evewell lab has some better technology for this than my old clinic.....I know the feeling re the cost of additional collections. Have you looked into clinics that offer discounts on multiple egg banking cycles? I think there are a few that do in London. Or overseas is also potentially cheaper if that can work for you logistically.....

@lucymills1234 v exciting that you're in the 2ww!! Hope you're surviving and finding lots of distractions.....quality isn't always a marker of success, so hope you can try not to worry too much about the grading of the embryo...

@birdbybird good luck in the 2ww! Test day is so soon so well done for making it this far without testing....

Hiya, you know its funny you say that because that was my gut too. My thoughts are to get the tissue of this one tested. Then transfer the remaining ones, then do fresh collections and get those tested. At this rate I'll likely be tipping point of 41, and will likely need 2-3 cycles to try and find a normal. I'm also wondering if my adenomyosis or endo might be the cause. Although after i had surgery to remove endo i fell pregnant naturally and result is my 5 year old running around downstairs, i had another surgery in 2019 fell pregnant again but miscarried. So it could be that i just make crappy crappy eggs despite the decades of not drinking, accupuncture and expensive supplements!

Had my egg collection today, my second of three egg collections I’ve paid for and have 3 eggs. Fingers crossed 🤞

LouScot · 26/06/2022 16:30

@Woodcottage1 that's great, fingers crossed. Hope you're feeling okay this afternoon

Woodcottage1 · 26/06/2022 16:33

I’m feeling ok. Just a bit emotional as we all are. I’m also a bit upset as I was phoned by the embryologist who I feel questioned why I’m having icsi. I’m now second guessing myself and reading up on it again :(

Hopeful199 · 26/06/2022 17:58

@Woodcottage1 congrats on the eggs! Fingers cross they all fertilise and grow nicely 🤞🏻

what do you mean second guessing yourself? Did you not want ICSI? I think if there is any doubt then it’s a good route forward as gives the best possible chances of good fertilisation rate (but maybe I am misreading the comment) hope you are taking care of yourself today.

Has anyone used caster oil packs at all? I have been having fertility massage and she highly recommends them. Am on a mock cycle and so giving them a go this time. I think that as well as old eggs I have an inhospitable environment 😣 My AF this month was heavy with big clots (sorry for TMI) but the clinic just say it’s fine. I’m sure it’s stopping anything nesting…. So now hoping the caster oil will help. Or maybe I’m just falling down another rabbit hole?!?! 😳

Woodcottage1 · 29/06/2022 13:30

Had my 3 day call and thankfully the 3 are good quality 3 day embryos. fingers crossed for day 5 🙏

Prayingforamiracle21 · 30/06/2022 17:53

@Woodcottage1 good luck for tomorrow day 5 results. Amazing day 3 results so far👍

Woodcottage1 · 01/07/2022 17:25

Unfortunately not had good news :(…..but as always rethink, re read the books and jump on the supplements. Tough game this is :( xxx

LouScot · 01/07/2022 18:13

@Woodcottage1 sorry to hear that. Did none make it to Day 5? Are you banking embryos just now? Look after yourself this weekend x

99pctpractice · 02/07/2022 11:38

@Woodcottage1 oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that. Sending lots of hugs xxx

mooneagle · 04/07/2022 17:11

Hey all so I’m starting my next cycle. Am on day 4 of the prognova and my skin looks like a 15 year old boy going through puberty. Does anyone else’s skin respond like this to the hormones? Going to be implanting on around day 16 and v nervous.

Anxiousbuthopeful · 04/07/2022 18:33

Hi everyone. Still lurking on this thread. I just did PRP today - I wonder whether it will do anything at all. I am also working through donor egg options and actually getting excited about that, so I don’t feel quite so anxious. I am sorry @Woodcottage1 - I hope the next cycle works better. And @lucymills1234 - how are you feeling?

LouScot · 04/07/2022 18:59

Hi @Anxiousbuthopeful ooo, that's exciting. I assume it was abroad? Can I ask how old you are as I forget everyone's age!

I'm hoping to start my cycle this summer, I'm overwhelmed at times by the poor stats but trying to be positive. Would be very interested to hear how the prp goes.

@mooneagle is it a FET you're doing? I've no help or experience, but certainly sounds as if your hormones are being kick started 🙂

Anxiousbuthopeful · 04/07/2022 19:10

Very nearly 44 and with terrible AMH two years ago when I tested.

mooneagle · 04/07/2022 19:32

@LouScot nope it’s a frozen transfer. I had the collection a while ago but couldn’t proceed cause I ended up with ovarian hyper stimulation. The stats are rubbish but gotta just hope we are one of the lucky ones!

Caved and had a glass of wine tonight!

LouScot · 04/07/2022 19:48

@Anxiousbuthopeful same age as me then, I'll be 44 in the autumn. Hope you're not in pain after the prp, would be great to hear more about it if you want to share at a later date.

@mooneagle fingers crossed it all goes well for you.

Anxiousbuthopeful · 04/07/2022 19:53

No pain at all for the minute (and I do wonder whether they did anything or whether it is some sort of a scam…). What’s your story @LouScot ?

LouScot · 04/07/2022 20:06

I just never met someone to have a family with @Anxiousbuthopeful or else just didn't realise it at the time. Genuinely don't know where time has gone. It's like I woke up one morning and all this time has passed without me realising.

I did freeze a few eggs a few years ago but even with a decent amh then only managed to get 5 frozen in 2 rounds - my amh was rubbish when I tested last (2 years ago then last year) but I'm going to do a cycle with donor sperm. I feel the pandemic has put my life on hold, I should have gone ahead 2 years ago (or earlier!!) but just never got there.

I'm sure you'll see positive results soon from the prp. I've been googling it since I read your message. Hopefully we'll both be successful over 40 mummies x

Anxiousbuthopeful · 04/07/2022 20:32

Fingers crossed @LouScot - keep us posted!

mooneagle · 04/07/2022 22:15

@LouScot i have two friends that had terrible amh. One managed to her pregnant naturally although was mid-30s. Another managed it on third or fourth round of IVF also early 40s. So it can happen. Fingers crossed for you. Xx

Pinklady81 · 07/07/2022 19:52

Hello everyone

Hope you're all doing okay?

Bit of a trigger so please scroll past if you need to I started my last cycle and after 3 days my stims were cancelled due to low response / uneven response ! Waiting to start my next cycle and my period is delayed which I thought was down to my hormones with stop starting stims and tonight got a positive on a test! I'm petrified as last time I had ectopic 2.5 years ago any words of wisdom?

LouScot · 07/07/2022 20:53

@Pinklady81 that's great. I'm guessing you didn't trigger so it's a real positive 💖have you phoned your clinic for advice? Fingers crossed x

Anxiousbuthopeful · 07/07/2022 20:57

OMG @Pinklady81 - so exciting! Keep us posted

Pinklady81 · 07/07/2022 20:58

I'm in absolute shock so don't know what to do it seems to be a strong line do I ring my clinic I am unsure what to do!!

LouScot · 07/07/2022 22:00

@Pinklady81 I'd definitely ring your clinic and just explain you're worried. They might be able to give you an early scan. It's great though that you've conceived naturally, especially after having to cancel your last round!!!!!
