A new thread to continue the one we've maxed out from the FET cycle buddies May/June. Anyone wishing to join no matter what stage you're at we're here to support you along the way.

A little background around me - I have a little boy who's 16mo from my second IVF round in 2019. I'm just embarking (restarting after covid setback) on my first FET cycle with the embryos I have in storage in the hope for baby #2 🤞🏼
I have severe endometriosis, hydrosalpinx tubes which have been removed so my only hope is for IVF to work again. It's been a long old journey but if I can give any hope, faith and a tonne of support to anyone who needs it I'm happy to share my story, updates on my cycle and be there to have a general chin wag ☺️

@thedutchess3 my first cycle was bemfola and I was on 125. I was overstimulated and my estrogen was really really high so they brought me in for egg retrieval on day 10. I had 10 eggs collected and 9 were immature. The remaining one didn't fertilise.

I am tiny and the dosage was too high for me but had a first scan on a Friday and by the time I was checked again there was no ways to bring some values down. Not sure if it was the clinic that messed up or I was unlucky.

Now I am on a lower bemfola dosage and hopefully my eggs will behave properly this time!

@2mumlife I've had you in my thoughts today. Great news on your 6 wonderful eggs! It sounds like you have a nice consultant! The one time i spoke to mine it was collection day, he introduced himself as 'the one who is hopefully going to steal your eggs!' 😆 How are you feeling after it?
Everythings crossed for you for the next phase. We had to do a freeze all after egg collection due to risk of OHSS. Had a withdrawal bleed, then first day of the next period was the start of a fully medicated FET cycle. It felt like it came around quite quickly, but the FET cycle itself was longer than we anticipated.

@Mamaemmeline hi 👋 i didn't have any implantation bleeding in the 2ww which resulted in a BFP. Currently 8 weeks, had some bleeding a week last Sunday - no clear reason for this however all looked ok when scanned👍 hope you're getting on ok with the wait, fingers crossed for you x

@Bluemeadowbaby Glad to hear you're feeling less stressed after taking some time doing things you enjoy. Living by the sea sounds lovely!
When it comes to dates I was trying to work it out as soon as we had a ivf start date! I was at the clinic today for another scan so i did ask - they confirmed that they go off your transfer date plus the age of the embryo at time of transfer, to work out how many weeks you are. So today they dated me based off the embryo measurement and then compared that to the transfer date, which was 2 days different. They're happy if you're within 5 days either side of that date. - i hope that makes sense 😅 x

@Francesmalin I'm sorry to hear you had a dissapointing outcome first time around. Its good they've adjusted dosage. I too stim for very few days and have an issue with egg maturity.

@TheDutchess3 Yeah my clinic do flushing too, but even with several flushes nothing came loose. Will hear in a few hours what the situation is with egg fertilisation and go from there.

@Pingupp Still got plenty Toblerone left :D

@Millie029 There are a few consultants but I had my favourite one yesterday which was nice. I think he's really sympathetic that we're having such an issue when we came to the clinic with no fertility issues! We only needed the clinic as needed donor sperm and its turned into a massive battle for us. I'm hoping they'll let me start taking estradiol from the withdraw bleed but its hard to get my clinic to move that quickly.

Feeling quite bloated and gassy after egg collection but a lot less painful than last time. Hoping from a good fertilisation report later today

@Verbena87 Feeling overjoyed at the moment - all 6 of our eggs were mature this time, and they've all fertilised I'm absolutely over the moon

@2mumlife that's a brilliant news! It gives me hope!!! Did you also have immature eggs in the first round?

Hi ladies - Ok so - got to go for another scan next Weds. All is measuring as it should be and she can see a yolk sac within it but no heartbeat visible yet - she ‘thinks’ is ok but we will know for sure in a weeks time as heartbeat should be visible if still progressing. So a bit longer to wait. Photo scan shows a bit of a grey area on right hand side at bottom. She thinks that is where it is hiding and embedded. 🤷‍♀️ so more finger crossing is needed xxx

@Pingupp How are you doing? It's positive news to hear that all is measuring as it should be!! Did she say how many weeks you are? Did they do an external or internal scan? The visability seems very different between the scan types, and sometimes it can still be hard to get a good image even with an internal. It's surprising how much growth there can in a week! Keeping everything crossed for you x

@Millie029 hi 6 weeks and 1 day but she said it could be a few days behind - will know more next week. It was an internal scan. She said really clinics shouldn't do then til 7 weeks but it was a bee directive from our clinic. Oh well- just another week of waiting xx

Question from me: has any of you Been asked to use cetrodite and do the injections at night?

@2mumlife I am grinning all over my face: WELL DONE CHOCOLATE-DEPRIVED OVARIES! That is an amazing result; quality must’ve been fabulous.

@Pingupp hope you’re feeling ok, that does sound really early to scan so hopefully next week you’ll see a heartbeat, but more waiting must be tough.

@Francesmalin is that to downreg before FET? I remember it from my first cycle but I think it was before egg collection rather than before transfer.

@Verbena87 cetrodite is the med they give you to avoid The eggs to be released from the ovaries. I thought it was administered only in the morning and not in the evening. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you for all your comments too. I feel like I'm going a bit crazy waiting to test. Official test date is Sunday and need to just do a urine dip test due to the blood bottle shortage this time. Think that worries me that it'll be harder to convince myself I definitely am or am not than a beta number!

Trying to decide whether to just test early tomorrow?!

@Mamaemmeline if you are past 12 days post 5 day transfer - if you really can't wait - do the test.
My clinic doesn't do BETA bloods so just pee on a stick for me. I totally get the anxiety around that.

Thanks everyone! I'm actually looking forward to update tomorrow. Physically got rid of the bloating and gas today which is great. I'm also mentally in a much much better place than I was with first cycle where I had a massive crash after EC. All feels less traumatic this time.

@Verbena87 Muching through toblerone since egg collection . Last time both our mature eggs made it to great day 5 blasts (a 5AA and 4AA) so egg quality shouldn't be and issue and we're using donor sperm, so thats been screened to be fantastic quality, so hopefully we should have a really good progression rate again 🤞🤞🤞

@Francesmalin We have to do a freeze-all due to protocol. Apparently implantation rates after antagonist protocol are a lot lower. No experience of centrodite sorry, but I took fyremadel to prevent early ovulation, and I took that in the morning if that helps.

@Pingupp Sounds like everything is progressing just as it should!

How are you feeling? The anxiety between all those early scans I'd so hard. X

Ok here. Had our consent form appointment today and lining scan on Monday. Mainly just hoping to avoid covid - school seems to be pretty rife with it already.

@Mamaemmeline I’m planning to wait too - I think if it was negative early I’d be upset when I might not need to be, and if I got an early positive I’d then feel the need to repeat test and get worried about line progression. But it’s also super personal, there’s no right way really. Good luck!
