Hey ladies ☺️

A new thread to continue the one we've maxed out from the FET cycle buddies May/June. Anyone wishing to join no matter what stage you're at we're here to support you along the way.

A little background around me - I have a little boy who's 16mo from my second IVF round in 2019. I'm just embarking (restarting after covid setback) on my first FET cycle with the embryos I have in storage in the hope for baby #2 🤞🏼
I have severe endometriosis, hydrosalpinx tubes which have been removed so my only hope is for IVF to work again. It's been a long old journey but if I can give any hope, faith and a tonne of support to anyone who needs it I'm happy to share my story, updates on my cycle and be there to have a general chin wag ☺️

We've got this! ✨ x

@firefly37 i am sorry your cycle was cancelled. Hopefully next one will go ahead and you can have your baby. Don't let people make you feel stupid because you want a third child. If it's your dream and how you imagine your family to be it's your decision and no one can say what is right number of kids!

@2mumlife congrats on the new job! Well done! When are you starting? I also got a new job starting in march but I feel very confused at the moment. I have accepted it but I might change my mind while I serve my notice and stay at my job. I just found out we have 8 months maternity leave paid! Maternity leave is a trap! I have an IVF cycle coming up and if it works I might end up being pregnant before starting a new job! I will use the Xmas holidays to thing about what to do!

2mumlife · 05/12/2021 15:41

@Francesmalin Congratulations on the job offer even if you don't take it! My situation is a bit different, as I work 2 jobs, so the job I got is with 1 of the employers, so, I won't be breaking my "continuous service" period when it comes to possible mat leave. I'm also just done with a) working 2 jobs and the crap work/life balance and b) putting everything else on hold. I've waited 2 years in a "I won't change job just in case" and Im still not pregnant so. I'm also in academia, so mat leave is pretty similar really between universities.

Hey ladies, just wondering if anyone has experienced weird period/bleeding after FET? I had my period/withdrawal bleed on 20th November after failed FET and then tonight I've just started bleeding 🤨 it's as if it's my period as enough to leak onto a pad. Do I class this as first day bleeding? Surely not? Weird x

OP posts:
2mumlife · 09/12/2021 08:31

@Bluemeadowbaby Sorry no. I had a perfect 28 day cycle after my FET chemical pregnancy (totally weird for me though!) but no breakthrough type bleeding. Is it still going?

Bluemeadowbaby · 09/12/2021 16:48

@2mumlife thanks for replying, it's still there but more spotting 🤨 I used to get this all the time with my endo then when I was pregnant/postpartum back on pill no bleeding. Not on any pills atm so wondering if it's hormonal change/endo maybe. I'll give the clinic a call I think.
How are you getting on? X

Hi All,
Thank you for the mentions and the support, I appreciate it ...
Well done on your job offers ladies! @Francesmalin @2mumlife
and how are you feeling on your meds?
@Bluemeadowbaby ... After my failed FET I think bleed was normal. Have you had any answers?
My clinic have emailed over my new protocol to start in January hopefully - its the same as last time! But with the addition of decapatyl (however you spell it) which I think is a down reg of some form but I dont start it until the same day of 350 pergoveris. They wont give me a long protocol like I had before as they do not believe it will suit my now hormone profile. I am having a confusing old month with my cycle though! I stopped stims on CD5. On CD9 I got EWCM and a little blood (I never mid cycle bleed so googled it and it suggested can indicate ovulation), we did what we needed on CD10, 11, 12 and 13 with some more EWCM. On CD17 I had bright spotting on tissue only and nothing else. Am now CD19 and still having clear/white discharge, very wet and sometimes stretchy. Am having mild cramps like AF coming and a negative preg test today.
Would be interested to hear any thoughts on all this? I have never had implantation bleeding before but I feel like that could be too early to be it :( x

2mumlife · 10/12/2021 07:50

@Bluemeadowbaby Hope clinic has some answers. Doing good here - I'm in those nice few days when I've finished fyremadel injections and not start progesterone yet, so just the estradiol tablet at the moment. I've also had to take a load of annual leave in December becasue I can't roll over all my unused leave, which I'm actually really enjoying - so went for a walk with a friend yesterday afternoon, and going to hang out with my sister and newphew for a bit later today and things.

@firefly37 Whole cycle will be a bit wonky because of meds and hormones being thrown about. I did have implantation bleeding on my chemical, it was very distinctive / different from AF, it was very watery brown for me. That will be amazing if you can get going again in January

suziegxx · 13/12/2021 11:07

Can someone please help me I’m 4dpt FET if I wanted to test early would I need to use an early test not just a normal one? Sounds so stupid x

Bluemeadowbaby · 13/12/2021 12:30

@suziegxx don't test too early. I would wait at least until 7dp transfer to do any sort of early tests at the very very earliest if that's what you'd like to do. I tested early and sadly had a chemical pregnancy it broke my heart and I vow never to test early again. Wishing you luck! X

@firefly37 no answers but the bleeding stopped and now I'm back to normal so just letting my body do what it needs to do. How are you getting on? How did the spotting end up? X

@2mumlife hope you're feeling okay. That walk sounds lovely and hope you had a nice time with your sister and nephew x

Bluemeadowbaby · 13/12/2021 12:32

@suziegxx sorry I read that wrong, yes the early ones and the 10miu (think that's what it is lol) they will pick up the smallest amounts of hcg x

@2mumlife... Nice to hear ur enjoying some time off. Any updates with ur cycle?
@Bluemeadowbaby... Back to normal is good... What r ur plans?
I had spotting CD18 and had proper cramps late CD 20 to 23... I don't usually get period cramps but assumed these were them but no period yet... Due Thurs/Fri.
Xx

Bluemeadowbaby · 13/12/2021 14:09

@firefly37 fingers crossed for you that this is a good sign!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏼 the plan is to call clinic day 1 of cycle and go from there due at the weekend - I feel quite flat about it all maybe just because I don't want to look forward to it incase the same thing happens again. So I'm going to just enjoy Christmas and see what the new year brings ☺️ x

OP posts:
suziegxx · 13/12/2021 14:28

Thank you so much trying my best not to test but Im driving myself crazy with it xx

2mumlife · 13/12/2021 14:42

@suziegxx I also had a chemical pregnancy and have also vowed not to test early again!

@firefly37 Keeping fingers crossed this cycle might have worked for you!

Lining scan for me was today, measured in at 6.8mm. My treatment diary has been updated to increase my estradiol from 3 x 2mg a day to 4 x 2mg a day, so guessing I'm getting another scan in a couple of days after the increased dose to get that lining a bit thicker, but I've not had the call from the clinic yet to discuss.

2mumlife · 13/12/2021 16:25

@firefly37 @Bluemeadowbaby Yup so confirmed I need to increase to 4 x 2mg a day starting today, back in for a scan Wednesday morning, so hoping lining gets a bit thicker by then 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 not much time left to meet transfer cut-off date so grow lining grow!

Francesmalin · 13/12/2021 18:20

Finger crossed for you @2mumlife

Bluemeadowbaby · 13/12/2021 19:48

@2mumlife come on lining grow grow grow! Keeping my fingers crossed for you that the increase does it's thing and you can get to where you need to be. Would transfer be before or just after Christmas? X

firefly37 · 14/12/2021 13:35

@Bluemeadowbaby... I'm like u... Feeling flat about going again Sad... We talked the other day about stopping and just moving on with life. IVF is taking over everything when we should be focusing on our beautiful miracles. I'm feeling really emosh at the moment.... Crying for no real reason but hopefully can have a good Christmas with my babies and I wish u and ur family the best of times and everything crossed u get better luck in the new year xx
@2mumlife... Ur lining will get there, im sure. Its not far off. Sending u sticky lining dust xxxx
I'm so emotional today! I'm making teacher gifts using my cricut when I really need to do house work... Just crying randomly. AF due in a couple of days... My 3/4 days of cramps have completely stopped... No physical symptoms of anything really. I've been peeing loads suddenly but I have a bad bladder that plays up sometimes anyways and I woke with a really metallic mouth. I did get excited that this month we got lucky, but lm just fooling myself. I've done 10miu strip tests the last few days which are stark white. Oh well... When AF arrives, I'm going to drink and eat my body weight in Christmas cheese x

2mumlife · 14/12/2021 15:51

@Francesmalin Thank you!

@Bluemeadowbaby It'd be before Christmas. Last date we can trasnfer is the 22nd before clinic closes for the Christmas period, so I pretty much need to get the go ahead to start progesterone tomorrow Shock TMI but I have SO MUCH cervical mucus going on with these pills so they're doing something Blush

@firefly37 Oooff. Give it a bit of time and see how you're feeling - I know I often flump in the winter without all the IVF stuff. You've been through a lot last few weeks so give yourself some tlc and ALL THE CHEESE Grin

firefly37 · 15/12/2021 12:56

@2mumlife - have you started progesterone? So excited for you getting a transfer in before Christmas ... everything crossed for you xx
I have a fridge full of cheese and bottles of mulled wine to tuck into ... my favourite christmas treats!!

2mumlife · 15/12/2021 19:13

@firefly37 Lining was 7.2mm today. But annoyed it hadn't got much thicker and wish I was over the 8mm mark but they've said it's ok. So starting progesterone in the morning and transfer planned for next Tuesday 🤞🏼🤞🏼

2mumlife · 17/12/2021 11:13

I've forgotten how blooming sore the bruises are from Lubion injections. So glad mhy clinic only does them up to transfer day so counting down the days!

Bluemeadowbaby · 17/12/2021 11:55

@2mumlife they're sore aren't they 😣 I found with mine if I inject really slowly it doesn't bruise/sting as much but then hey...I still never get the hang of them 😂 hope your transfer goes smoothly and so glad to hear clinic happy for you to proceed x

@firefly37 I know how you feel ♥️ enjoy the moments we're in at the moment and be truly grateful but there will always be that little niggle and I've come to realise it's okay to feel that way too ♥️ x

2mumlife · 17/12/2021 14:37

@Bluemeadowbaby I'm sure we had a better system going last time for the injections. Sure we'll get into the swing of it again eventually! I'm really pleased we're getting to go too. Still had a little blip yesterday and saw a friend and accidently said something that made her thing I was pregnant, and just reminded me that no, I'm still not (her daughter was conceived same time as our last IUI try, and shes now 6 months, so it just sucks sometimes)
