Hey ladies ☺️

A new thread to continue the one we've maxed out from the FET cycle buddies May/June. Anyone wishing to join no matter what stage you're at we're here to support you along the way.

A little background around me - I have a little boy who's 16mo from my second IVF round in 2019. I'm just embarking (restarting after covid setback) on my first FET cycle with the embryos I have in storage in the hope for baby #2 🤞🏼
I have severe endometriosis, hydrosalpinx tubes which have been removed so my only hope is for IVF to work again. It's been a long old journey but if I can give any hope, faith and a tonne of support to anyone who needs it I'm happy to share my story, updates on my cycle and be there to have a general chin wag ☺️

We've got this! ✨ x

@2mumlife I totally get that, it's so bitter sweet isn't it. I'm due to be an auntie soon too and am just in the middle (way over my bedtime!) of making the final preps for my SIL baby shower on Sunday. I'm so excited for her and I really can't wait to meet my new niece, even tho I have my little boy the major pang of jealousy, wanting and craving never goes away. I'm glad you've had a good chat and have the answers you needed. Here's to a Christmas miracle and a non alcoholic gin!! X

@2mumlife oh and the tablets...god knows 🤣 I'm just doing as I'm told haha! But I believe it's to support the lining whilst introducing the progesterone? I might be wrong there but I've never had them before. Had them all on a full stomach today and feel much better - better still the bleeding has stopped 🥳 x

Hi ladies
Just wanted to say hope that you are all doing ok.
I can't keep up with the messages - I tried!!
Wishing you lots of luck with your treatments and fingers crossed for lots of babies next year.
I am back from our 12 wk scan. Still can't quite believe that we have got this far.
Long way to go but we are hopeful and my partner will now fingers crossed stop being a negative Nellie!
Take care everyone and have a lovely weekend xxx

firefly37 · 29/10/2021 16:30

Hi ladies,

@Bluemeadowbaby... Yay go you! My lining is always 12mm and I'm told that's super cool Grin... Wishing you so much luck for next week xx

@Pingupp... Such a huge hurdle to be past the 12 week scan! So happy for you xx

@2mumlife... Glad to hear that your clinic have stepped up and being more helpful. I may be joining you for a Christmas miracle now... As...

MY CYCLE HAS JUST BEEN CANCELLED SadSad... I've just stopped crying. Unfortunately me and the kiddies picked up a bug this week and my temperature went slightly over 38 degrees. I've felt like shit to be honest but I tried to force myself well. I eventually told my clinic coordinator today and the doctor has instructed to stop stimms as my egg quality will be compromised with a high temperature.
Might have a very small prosecco tonight Sad x

Verbena87 · 29/10/2021 21:19

Oh @firefly37 - I can recommend a drink of something nice. Best to get the best egg quality but what a blow for you even so. Xxx

@Pingupp that’s lovely news and so heartening to read. Thanks for sharing 😌

Bluemeadowbaby · 30/10/2021 17:21

@firefly37 you're joking?!! 😫 this is such shit timing! Bloody bugs and covid ruling is ruining so much! I guess on the positive side maybe the dr is right with the egg quality situation. Just a massive frustration which I know you'll be feeling 😔 (hands large glass...screw that...the whole bottle of the strongest kind) x

@Pingupp so lovely to hear your news! 😍 how are you feeling during your pregnancy? X

Pingupp · 31/10/2021 09:32

@Verbena87 thank you!
@Bluemeadowbaby thanks! I am doing ok. Had no sickness but that could have been the ivf drugs masking symptoms.
So far so good. Just waiting on the bloods now for downs, edwards and patau's - hopefully they will be ok. Xx

2mumlife · 31/10/2021 21:20

@Bluemeadowbaby I'm grateful my sister isn't the 'baby shower' type, so at least I don't need to be subjected to that! Great bleeding has stopped. When is tranfer day?

@firefly37 Oh no! I'm sorry to hear cycle has been cancelled, and that you've got a bug going round the family! Hopefully everyone is feeling better soon! You say hopefully joining me when I get going, but had the embryologist planning call today, and she sounded much more pessimistic about us getting the green light to get cycle started. Waiting for a nurse call hopefully tomorrow to see whats going on. I'm going to be really annoyed if they try to make us wait again.

2mumlife · 31/10/2021 21:20

@Pingupp Great to hear things are progressing well, lucky you!

Pingupp · 01/11/2021 06:47

@2mumlife thanks so much. X

Millie029 · 01/11/2021 14:53

Hi all! I hope everyone is keeping well and getting on ok with their treatments and journeys. Sending you all positive vibes ❤
@pingupp Everythings crossed for your test results coming back clear x

firefly37 · 01/11/2021 16:25

Hi guys,
Thanks for your mentions and support... Means a lot Blush. So think we are finally all bugged out in this house but DS is back at school so who knows what nasties he could bring home next! I said to my OH that I will now be back to my covid mask and hyper hand sanitising and if the kiddos are ill again I will comfort them from a safe distance with rubber gloves Wink lol....
Seriously tho, I am trying to see the positives. My cycle when I conceived my little girl was delayed by 2 months due to a faulty blood test... When our little 3 mature egg collection actually worked with her I remember thinking that if I had gone 2 months earlier, would it have worked... So I'm hoping this is the universe telling me this month wasn't right. Shame that it's going to cost me £540 to get a new Pergoveris pen as I used one up Sad...
@2mumlife... Did u hear anything today? X

2mumlife · 01/11/2021 17:59

@firefly37 Yes! Got confrimation today from clinic we can defintely do the FET with next cycle. Meds are getting ordered and then its just waiting for period to come ~ 20th and we can get going. I wish I could be as positive as you aboiut delays! Hopefully no more bugs. When can you get started again?

Bluemeadowbaby · 01/11/2021 18:28

@2mumlife excellent news on getting started again!! Bet that feels like a relief? X

@firefly37 glad you're all bugged out and yes to the gloves 😄 I'm a firm believer in the universe telling us so who knows this may be the case for you! X

Had my covid swab today at the clinic and transfer is Wednesday 😳 now I'm all baby shower planed out for my SIL (literally had the best day yesterday and just seeing her so happy warmed my soul!) I'm panicking a bit and feeling quite anxious for transfer. I love having things to do it keeps my anxiety at bay so may have to indulge in a good watch on Netflix...any recommendations? X

firefly37 · 01/11/2021 18:37

@2mumlife that's great news! Little Christmas miracles for us both hopefully Grin... I will start stimms again on day 2 of AF so around 20th!!
@Bluemeadowbaby... Wednesday!! Amazing... So much luck to you. Its been a long time coming Smile... I've just started the Maid on Netflix... Good so far xx

2mumlife · 02/11/2021 14:48

@firefly37 We're both in the waiting game then together!

@Bluemeadowbaby Massive relief. Just looking forward to hearing from the drug fairies and getting going now! Hope swab is all fine, and good luck for tomorrow! If you've not seen The Chair yet its good (I'm an academic though, so it resonates!). I also watched Adult Material recently - that was a good watch, but might not be everyones thing.

Just been finishing off a job application. I feel like its a bit mad potentially changing jobs if I could get pregnant soon, but I feel a bit done with putting life on hold for a maybe baby.

Francesmalin · 02/11/2021 15:31

@2mumlife I am in the same situation. I put my life on hold for a while for a potential pregnancy and didn't change job. Now I am putting my self put there and if I get pregnant I will deal with that. Not much I can do but I know I don't want to be in this job any longer.

Bluemeadowbaby · 02/11/2021 20:46

@2mumlife thank you, I'm feeling quite nervous this evening - excitement and nerves all in one go I think. Thanks for the recommendations I'll take a look! Just watching good old Harry Potter to keep my mind easy tonight, always my go to ☺️
Sometimes making the move with life is the best thing to do, I held on for a long while in my previous job and (not to say this is your case!!) but I worried about making the move incase I didn't get maternity pay but I was at my new job for 2 years anyway before things went my way so definitely making the decisions you wish to make are the best thing to do, to just feel that sense of normal anyway instead of feeling on hold all the time. Good for you! X

@firefly37 thank you! Feeling nervous this evening 🙈 I've heard maid is a very good watch! I'll have to take a look x

2mumlife · 02/11/2021 21:35

@Bluemeadowbaby Sorry you're feeling nervous, hopefully everything will go nice and straight forward tomorrow. I've been re-reading all the Harry Potter books the last few weeks as needed something easy to put my mind at more ease with all these delays. I work at 2 different universities (both part time positions), and the new position is at one of them, so I should still keep my continous service record for mat pay if I got it and got pregnant. But yeah it was a consideration! If I did get it it would mean better wage and only needing to have 1 job which would be looooovely. Hope you get a good sleep tonight and best of luck for tomorrow!

Bluemeadowbaby · 02/11/2021 21:39

@2mumlife sounds to me like it's the right move to be making if there's those kinda pros! Go for it! I love the Harry Potter books, I may have to invest myself some to keep me going ☺️ thanks, off to get some sleep now I'll update tomorrow 🤞🏼 x

Bluemeadowbaby · 03/11/2021 12:01

@Millie029 thank you! All went well. Here's hoping! I got a pang of doubt when my 3BA frozen is now a 3CC expanding they said not to worry and that it is "perfect" for transfer but these numbers and letters always fill me with dread lol x
