Hey ladies ☺️

A new thread to continue the one we've maxed out from the FET cycle buddies May/June. Anyone wishing to join no matter what stage you're at we're here to support you along the way.

A little background around me - I have a little boy who's 16mo from my second IVF round in 2019. I'm just embarking (restarting after covid setback) on my first FET cycle with the embryos I have in storage in the hope for baby #2 🤞🏼
I have severe endometriosis, hydrosalpinx tubes which have been removed so my only hope is for IVF to work again. It's been a long old journey but if I can give any hope, faith and a tonne of support to anyone who needs it I'm happy to share my story, updates on my cycle and be there to have a general chin wag ☺️

We've got this! ✨ x

@Francesmalin OTD is today hence not very hopeful.

@PinkRose100 and @Bluemeadowbaby husband is picking up a FRER today to double check. I think tbh if it was viable there would be a line within the time by now (11dp5dt), but who knows.

PinkRose100 · 08/10/2021 13:56

We’re all obviously different but this was my test from today. Also 11DP5DT (fresh though). Good luck @Verbena87 xxx

Pingupp · 08/10/2021 16:18

@PinkRose100 just catching up!! Congrats. How are you feeling?? Xxx
@Verbena87 fingers crossed- I could see a 2nd line on yours yesterday. Hope you are doing ok xxx
@Bluemeadowbaby how are things with you? Xx

firefly37 · 08/10/2021 16:21

@Verbena87... Defo a second line and not a squinter!! With my DD I got squinters until day 9 and were faint for a while after. .. Everything crossed and a teeny weeny congrats.... Hopefully we can make it a bigger one soon! Xxx

@PinkRose100... Another congrats! Has ur bleeding settled? Many many women bleed in pregnancy so everything crossed all is well! xxxx

Verbena87 · 08/10/2021 17:08

Thanks folks. @PinkRose100 is that a FRER? have got hold of some now.

I’m dubious because today is 11dp5dt and the line only appeared after the 10 minute window to check (not sure how long after because I just left it in the side of the bath, then saw it when I went to brush my teeth after breakfast).

PinkRose100 · 08/10/2021 17:24

@Verbena87 yes it’s a FRER. My understanding is you can’t really get false positives on them because the second line will only show if you have some trace of HCG in you but then some forums do mention evaporation lines but I’ve never had them myself. Have you tried one yet? Make sure you try and hold your wee for as long as poss as if your hormone levels are still low that will help.
@Pingupp and @firefly37 thank you for asking. I’m still very scared as still had bleeding today and bleeding has always meant miscarriage for me in the past. Consultant has said nothing more they can do so it’s just a wait and see. It’s nice to only be two weeks from the 6 week scan already at least. How are you both doing? Baby Pingupp still well? Making you feel poorly yet? xxx

Verbena87 · 08/10/2021 18:18

I’ve spoken to the clinic and am to test each morning til Monday and report back Monday so they can sort a drug top up if needed. Nurse said we are still in with a chance and definitely worth giving it a few more days. Ooof.

Pingupp · 08/10/2021 18:24

@PinkRose100 oh bless. Try not to panic. Easy for me to say but yes the wait for the scan is the next milestone. Fingers and toes crossed for you.
Baby is ok - we had to have a early pregnancy unit scan yesterday as I had a bit of a bleed over the weekend. All seems well. It's so tiny - kidney bean size so we are still quite scared things could go wrong. I am trying to relax into it now but it's hard. I must say i have had no sickness at all - just a bit tired and dizzy every now and then. But I read that ivf meds and the steroids I am on can make this better. I stop all meds next Tues when I am 10 weeks so I am expecting to be hit by a truck of ailments!! Xx
@Verbena87 fingers crossed for you - come on two lines xx

Bluemeadowbaby · 08/10/2021 20:06

@Pingupp all is well here just on the patches atm, I had a super long shower today to melt away my cold (and to have an extra 10 minutes non mummy time 😄) but after the soak the patch peeled off 🙃 I remember the first time I did them they came off aaaall the time so I have legs at the top hairier than hagrids beard to keep them on! Last very hot shower for me I think 😂 glad to hear baby is doing well and who knows...you might be sailing through the first trimester sick free you lucky thing! With my little boy I was only sick twice each time after a Chinese lol. Sometimes it's a blessing to not have sickness! Has the bleeding stopped now? X

@PinkRose100 bless you, it must be so hard and I know the waiting is torture but hold on in there lovely that little bean is a fighter I'm sure. Line is looking good on frer!! X

@Verbena87 how did your day go today? I imagine it was full of spacey woah okay what happened on the side of the bath mid teeth brush kinda vibes? Keep going! I have good feelings for you and I really hope I'm right x

OP posts:
Verbena87 · 08/10/2021 20:27

@Bluemeadowbaby my day was precisely and exactly “full of spacey woah okay what happened on the side of the bath mid teeth brush kinda vibes”. Who knows. The line is deffo blue not grey which even if there’s no viable pregnancy at least gives me hope that implantation did possibly happen this time, so it’s not that my womb’s gone wrong post birth.

Long hot shower sounds perfect, and does anyone NOT have Hagrid thighs in autumn/winter?! Saves on thermals.

@Pingupp I bled at 7 weeks (a bit) then 15 weeks (so much 111 sent us to a&e in the middle of the blooming night) and all was grand, but Oh My God, it is terrifying. Your heart sinks through your feet. Big hugs xxx

Verbena87 · 08/10/2021 20:28

It’s darkened more in the day. Think I need to throw it away so I stop looking at the damn thing! (This is still the side of the bath one, daredn’t test til tomorrow)

PinkRose100 · 08/10/2021 21:25

@Pingupp Oww that must have been so scary, I’m glad it’s all looking okay so far. That’s good to know the IVF meds could stop the sickness for a time as I was horribly ill with my 16 week baby so fingers crossed these drugs will stop that! I hope you don’t get too poorly when you come off them.
@Verbena87 gosh that certainly looks like something, keep us updated. I can’t stop thinking about it for you ☺️.
My bleeding is still going strong. The fear of every wee or twinge now is just debilitating. I’ve had so many losses and managed those okay but this certainly is a special type of torture as I can’t be happy or sad, just stressed (then stress that I’m stressed). So odd that I’m under a miscarriage clinic but there’s literally nothing they want to look at or change drug wise to stop it. 🤯 Just typing on this forum helps me feel better so thank you for being there xx

Pingupp · 09/10/2021 04:43

@Bluemeadowbaby hey yes it has but some funky light brown stuff has started. I think the pessaries and the lovely plastic applicator are aggravating me. I am hoping all this calms down once I stop having to shove them up next week!!
All I can think about is food - I am wife awake, it's 4.30am and I have just had to have some toast, banana and peanut butter! Is this normal ?!
Patches sound like a pain- from memory with my hrt ones some batches stick better than others. Typical!! Glad you are doing ok. Xx

@Verbena87 god yeah - when you see fresh blood it's a kick in the stomach for sure. Hoping your test goes well.... defo use FRER - I used them for both of my bfp's. I have fingers and toes crossed xx

@PinkRose100 it would be nice if sickness stayed away but I have a funny feeling.....! I'll let you know next week!! Hope you are taking it easy now!! Xx

Francesmalin · 09/10/2021 13:40

Got some updates: I spoke with a fertility coach and we have been through my case etc and it seems like there could be 2 "issues" with my case:

  1. PCO (I think I mentioned in another post): I have PCO and it might take a bit longer for me to mature eggs. This means I need to change my diet, add more proteins, antioxidant and supplements to improve ovulation and overall wellbeing. Need also to reduce stress cause my prolactin tends to go high and this automatically reduces FHS and LH.
  1. Protocol with my clinic: Looking at the blood tests, the oestrogen rises very quickly. When this happens FHS get suppressed cause the body thinks follicles are big enough or have already ovulated. It seems like that rather than oocyte maturation failure the problem is with the drugs not stimulating me properly.

I still need to have a proper second opinion but I feel in a much better place now. Might be that a new clinic that is not a franchise can offer me the right customised treatment.

How are you doing @PinkRose100 and @Verbena87?

Have a good week end!

PinkRose100 · 09/10/2021 15:21

@Francesmalin okay, that all sounds fairly positive. Well done on getting some answers and a bit of a plan. Are you looking for a new clinic now?
My bleeding is increasing but tests are getting darker so just feeling very confused and emotional. x

Verbena87 · 09/10/2021 17:49

@Francesmalin that sounds definitely promising. Fingers crossed you’re on your way to success.

@PinkRose100 I’m beaming luck your way.

Pretty sure I’m out. This is today’s FRER with first wee of the day.

@Pingupp the toast hunting is real!! Enjoy it 😄 how are you feeling today has the spotting stopped? If I remember rightly I had a bleed around the same time it was only light but enough to frighten me, hubby ended up fracturing his ankle and it was because I was wheeling him around a&e doing wheelies and spins when I really should've just pushed properly 🤦🏻‍♀️ yes I think that too with the batches, this one seems to be a crap batch...onto the next 😄 x

@PinkRose100 keeping everything crossed for you, have you spoken to community midwives? X

@Verbena87 this makes my heart ache for you, but still hold on - when is otd? Sending you so much love all the way from my hairy thighs right up to my arms 🤗 x

@Francesmalin hello!! So nice to see you back and updating with some excellent progress! It's just nice to know the reasons behind things isn't it. The planning commences for the more intimate clinic now I'm assuming or have you found somewhere? Keeping everything crossed for you, keep the faith lovely you are not out yet 💕 x

Francesmalin · 09/10/2021 18:43

@Bluemeadowbaby nice to hear from you! 🙂 I have been recommended a couple of consultants. One at Evewell clinic and another one at Care in bath. I am waiting for the medical report from create and then I will contact them. I have a cycle with the NHS early next year so I will wait for that. My 2 IVF cycle were too close so it's safe to

wait 3-4 months now. Hopefully I can bring the right protocol to the NHS and they can do it for me! 😅

How are you getting on?

Bluemeadowbaby · 09/10/2021 19:13

@Francesmalin sounds like this plan will come along nicely!! I'm so glad you've been given some answers. How are you feeling after all the info handed your way?
I'm okay thank you, I'm just doing my patches at the moment and trying to keep myself busy so not to think about it too much but transfers should be first week of November all being well 🤞🏼 x

@Bluemeadowbaby OTD was yesterday so I think that blue dye one must’ve been a dye run. Will do as the nurse said and stay on drugs/testing til Monday morning, then pour a massive gin and get in a boiling bath I suspect.

Pingupp · 09/10/2021 20:43

@Verbena87 I am sorry honey. Sending big hugs and enjoy the gin and the nice hot bath. Xxxx

PinkRose100 · 10/10/2021 10:05

@Verbena87 Oww I’m so sorry it didn’t work out for you this time. xxx

Bluemeadowbaby · 10/10/2021 12:00

@Verbena87 my heart feels so sad for you 😔 yes to gin and the hottest bath plus extra hugs sent your way. Stay strong lady, you are so so strong x
