Hi all, I had a search and didn't see a thread for September/October. If there is one already please let me know and I'll join. I'll be starting stims at the end of September/early October with the Lister. I'm pretty terrified tbh, would be happy to hear from anyone else starting around the same time. I'm a first-timer and we'll be having ICSI (possibly IMSI).

@Bobtat is that normal for you to ovulate late? In my scan I had a follicle that was 17mm so pretty ready to ovulate and I believe I'm sue to ovulate tomorrow. I don't think it really matters when doing FET though. I just want me transfer to be next week as I start a new job the week after and obviously haven't told them anything about ivf.
That's a good thing! I stress so much with injections but the FET's I'm not too bad

@Bobtat im doing ok. Today was my last day of norethisterone. So hopefully af should come along soon

@Alexm06 sorry to hear the transfers been delayed. Hang in there. I know it can be hard.

Hello, how is everyone doing
Sorry I didn't really post after my first.
Had my lining scan today and it's at 12.7mm. I start cyclogest on Sunday and transfer booked for Friday next week.
Does anyone know can the lining get too thick

@Csparkles exciting! Argh - I hate cyclogest! My scan is Friday this week so hoping to transfer next week too. I asked the dr the same question. They said I think it can be too thick but that's like 40mm or something from memory. 12mm is very good territory to be in as highest clinical rates of implantation, pregnancy (and ongoing pregnancy) is for those in the 14mm plus category I believe. Pretty sure both my successful pregnancies I was about 11/12mm the week b4 transfer.

@Alexm06 my thinking was that it's ovulation that triggers your womb lining to thicken so just wanted as many days of that as poss before my scan on Friday - don't want to have to keep going back! Have you had any update on when you can transfer?

@Aim2912 how are you getting on? Do you have to wait now for a bit or do you know when they'll scan you?

Can I join?
I'm due to start down regs this Saturday. It'll be my first cycle and I've honestly no bloody idea what to expect! The covid thing is not helpful with lack of face to face appointments. So I'm interested to see how others are getting on.

@Bobtat ahh well hopefully that's the case as I'm pretty sure I ovulated early this week. I have another scan this morning so hopefully will get a date! When is your next scan?

Hey ladies
Can I jump on ?
3 weeks ago started down reg . Just started on overleap pen 3 days ago. Having scan on Monday. And Friday and hopefully EC next Monday. OH has low sperm count I can't remember how low but the consultant said people with less have been successful. We're having ISCI. I'm very emotional but a little excited . Should I not feel so hopeful ? I don't know what to feel.
Good luck to everyone on this journey . I think I thought it would be easy but I'm not sure what I feel right now

@Justawannabemam that is exciting! Hope your scans go ok and that they can book in your EC soon! How are you feeling physically? We had ICSI too - I'm doing a frozen transfer this time from embryos collected during my ICSI fresh cycle in 2017 x

@Bobtat yeah not great had a bit of a cry after. On Monday it was 6.3 and today it's 6.9 and I'm on cycle day 19. They have booked me for another scan on Wednesday but I'm not optimistic I've never had lining issues and now this time I do. The problem with have transfer the week after is I start a new job that week so won't be able to get time off for transfer unless I just happen to be off so yeah I'm even more stressed now.
I hope you have better news?

@Justawannabemam that's exciting. I think it's OK to feel optimistic? And you should really. As long as you are also realistic.

My drugs all arrived today and I start down reg tomorrow. Scary. What time does everyone do their drugs? What seems to work best? The nurse said evening might be better?

Physically I'm okay I'm starting to feel a bit tired and I've had a few headaches. I usually go to the gym most days so I've eased right off that which is why I could be feeling a bit emotional as well. It's good for the mind to have a good sweat hah

Did ICSi work for you first time ?

I've just gone 40 so we've been pretty much told we will only get one go . We waited for ages bc of covid so I don't know if they thought it might happen again that we could have another. Otherwise we might pay .

I done the down reg in the morning. Now I'm doing the pen in the evening as that was advised.

Yeh I often think about being realistic . But my OH does enough of that for the both of us Smile. The injections are fine . I done mine away on holiday . I had a little bruising but that was all . Good luck .

We did ICSI too in August but had to freeze all embryos due to OHSS. So this is my first frozen transfer..

Oh @Alexm06 I'm really sorry to hear that. That's so stressful - don't blame you for having a good cry. You're not that far away though are you? It's 8mm they like you to get to right? Maybe a few more days. Any can ce you could seat the start of the new job? Went ok today, thanks. Booked in for next week.

@paintfairy quite exciting when the drugs arrive! I'm doing a frozen transfe. I have a nasal spray I stead of injections and you have to do it morn and night.

@Bobtat hope your scan went well today and they have given you a date.
I'm just getting started, af day 1 today and have by baseline scan tomorrow to get the go ahead to start the progynova!

@Alexm06 what a hard time you having! So sorry to hear. It so annoying when things that are normally not an issue start becoming issues! The rollercoaster of ivf! Stay strong, it's slow but it's getting there.

@Csparkles that good news! Not too long now, hope this week goes quick for you.

@Justawannabemam we had MF issues, and icsi gave us good fertilisation rates on our first ivf. Though that cycle wasn't successfully due failed implantation. The icsi part all went fine. So hopefully it works out for you.
