Hi all, I had a search and didn't see a thread for September/October. If there is one already please let me know and I'll join. I'll be starting stims at the end of September/early October with the Lister. I'm pretty terrified tbh, would be happy to hear from anyone else starting around the same time. I'm a first-timer and we'll be having ICSI (possibly IMSI).

@Alwaysworried247 I am at Oxford Fertility and they start their surgical clinic at 0745 so I had to be there 0715. Last time I was at 12 noon tho, it just depends 😄
I’m glad it’s out of the way. Feeling uncomfortable and quite a lot of bleeding.

@Alwaysworried247 5% chance is very low, so that's something.

@Gensola yeah the rate of attrition is scary, but fingers crossed this round is a bit different and better for you. That's the thing with high egg reserve, the quality is a real gamble. I'm starting Letrozole tomorrow with our private clinic. Feels weird to be doing something that might help.

@Gensola congratulations on getting 12 eggs! I had 27 follicles and only retrieved 5 at my first retrieval so 12 is a great start. Fingers crossed for lots of mature eggs ! It's a shock when you start with so many follicles .

5 eggs have fertilised, sperm morphology was poor and it took them over an hour to find any good enough to use. I think if this round doesn’t work they will suggest a donor but I don’t think DH will be up for that. Argh.

@Gensola 5 sounds like a good number though, will have everything crossed for 5 days or is it four days now? Sorry, so new to IVF I’m not overly confident on the process.

Re sperm donors, hopefully DH would come round to that IF that is what is needed to help. I would certainly use a donor egg if they suggested it but I suppose, as a female, we would carry the baby so I would feel like the baby was me regardless of the egg and of course there is that male pride which is often larger than a females. Hoping beyond anything that that conversation isn’t required and in a few weeks you are sharing pics of your BFP! Xx

@Gensola 5 eggs fertilising is great! How many eggs were mature in total? We had 14 retrieved , 8 mature (second round) and only 5 fertilised but we did end up with. 1 5 day blastocyst and 1 3 day embryo frozen. (Freeze all cycle 🙄) so there is a great chance that you will have atleast one blast on day 5. I hope you are keeping busy. That 5 day waiting period was so hard for my mental health. I had never ever felt so anxious in all my life! X

@Prayingforabubba 12 eggs collected and all were mature, they injected them all (ICSI) but only 5 fertilised. Thanks so much for sharing your numbers, I really hope we get one to put back, I’m on course for a fresh transfer on Monday if one makes it.
I can’t seem to focus on anything! Will go for a walk in a bit. I’m still feeling very sore in the tummy area but otherwise ok.

@Gensola how are you doing? How are the eggs?

We have our nurses appointment on Wednesday as my AF finally showed up yesterday so all systems should be go for the next AF.

@Alwaysworried247 I am expecting a call from the clinic today (day 3) to say how the embryos are, and whether they think any will make it to Monday for a day 5 transfer. It’s totally nerve wracking!
My clinic don’t seem to do day 3 transfers so if none make it to Monday then that’s it.

@Alwaysworried247 thank you so much! We had the call just now to say 4 embryos have made it to day 3 in perfect condition, so they’ve scheduled my transfer for Monday at 12. They told me to expect a drop off of 30-50% so just praying one makes it to Monday!!

@Gensola that's great! Hoping for a great embryo to be transferred on Monday 🤞 I'm stuck in limbo at the moment waiting for FET. It's playing on my mental health a bit.

I ended up with 2 5AA blastocysts and one grade C which they said was still viable. They put one 5AA in fresh and then froze the other two so we have a FET possibility if this doesn’t work. Am feeling relieved and hopeful!

@Gensola I've been booked In for my FET consultation on Monday so hopefully should be having my FET mid October 🤞I had my retrieval in august and they want you to have one full cycle before starting the FET. I've been awful with my diet so really need to sort myself out! X how are you feeling lost transfer? I'll need tips closer to the time

Hi, I've just went through FET again. We had our first round in June but unfortunately miscarried at 6 weeks. We had another embryo implanted on the 31st of August a d are in the 2 week wait! It's the worst! We are due to test on the 11th (which just so happens to be our wedding day 😂) so we are really looking for good news! I think they said my embryo quality was 4ba and the embryologist was pretty happy with that! I'm so tempted to test early to avoid disappointment on my wedding day, but I just don't know!

Hi ladies

Hope you don't mind me joining. I just started my drugs for a FET cycle a couple of days ago. I'm hoping to transfer sometime first or second week of October. Anybody got similar timings?

It's a very strange process isn't it? It's so nice to have people to share it with 😊
