Hi all, I had a search and didn't see a thread for September/October. If there is one already please let me know and I'll join. I'll be starting stims at the end of September/early October with the Lister. I'm pretty terrified tbh, would be happy to hear from anyone else starting around the same time. I'm a first-timer and we'll be having ICSI (possibly IMSI).

@paintfairy. Thank you

I e been reading about people who have 13 or more. So we'll see what happens Monday. I'm not building my hopes up too much

Dizzyhedgehog · 09/10/2021 14:42

@Justawannabemam I wouldn't worry too much about it, yet. When I had my scan, they only saw six and then we had 8 after all (less than a week later). All 8 were OK to be fertilised.
Imagine it's only 4 on Monday, but 4 good ones. That's better than having 20 and not being able to use most of them. Fingers crossed for you.

What are reasons for only getting one cycle? We got three fresh cycles approved but have to pay privately for any frozen embryo transfers, should it get to those.

Justawannabemam · 09/10/2021 15:26

@Dizzyhedgehog because I've just topped 40. So we got in just in time. They have said its open for discussion so maybe if they thought something was possible next time we could have another. I just don't know what happened to those on the left . They were definitely there when I went last week. Maybe my trigger tonight will boost them all along nicely.

RoddyRoo · 09/10/2021 18:21

Hi lovely ones, thanks for all the well wishes. Transfer today went well, tiny bit sore but over in a flash, really good news was that they have 7 others to freeze (although one isn’t the best quality.
Now onto the TWW, I can test on the 20th. Much love to you all

Justawannabemam · 09/10/2021 18:53

@RoddyRoo that's great news.

Bobtat · 09/10/2021 20:40

@RoddyRoo pleased for you. There are going to be quite a few of us in the 2ww together. Nice to have some company!

unknownscot · 10/10/2021 08:21

I'm getting far too tempted to test. I'm now 6dp5dt. The wait is killing me 😂😕
How are you all doing? X

Bobtat · 10/10/2021 18:27

@unknownscot argh so hard. How many days do your clinic make you wait? It's 11 for me and I'm on day 2....

unknownscot · 10/10/2021 18:42
@unknownscot argh so hard. How many days do your clinic make you wait? It's 11 for me and I'm on day 2....
My OTD is 10dp5dt (Thursday)! I'm very tired and emotional today x

Bobtat · 10/10/2021 20:22

@unknownscot you're doing really well. You're over the hump - not long to go now

Bobtat · 11/10/2021 10:17

@Justawannabemam good luck today - hope all goes well.

@Sarah2328 @Csparkles @RoddyRoo how are you getting on with the waiting? I haven't felt anything at all yet!

@Dizzyhedgehog you feeling ok about tomorrow?

Sarah2328 · 11/10/2021 10:23

@Bobtat the suspense is killing me, test day is Thursday which will be 11 days post transfer. But I'm going to test Wednesday as I've got an important commendation Thursday and I can't gone going to that all sad if it's unsuccessful.

But honestly I am struggling, really want to test. X

Bobtat · 11/10/2021 10:28

@Sarah2328 it is so hard. Have you done this before? I can't remember sorry!

RoddyRoo · 11/10/2021 10:35

Hey @Bobtat thanks for checking in, how are you? I’m okay, had a bit of a faff this morning when I’m pretty sure my whole progesterone pessary came out and I just did not know what to do for the best but apart from over thinking that for three hours 😂
I can test on the 20th which is still quite far away, I have sore boobs, cramps etc. But those are all known side effects of the progesterone so no point symptom spotting from me! Hope you’re well x

Sarah2328 · 11/10/2021 10:49

@Bobtat this is my first round of IVF, so anxious it's unreal. Out of the whole
Process the 2 week wait has been the hardest by the far.

As @RoddyRoo says the sore boobs and cramps etc are the same symptoms as the progesterone so it's soo hard

But I have my fingers crossed for all you ladies 🤞🏻🤞🏻 x

Bobtat · 11/10/2021 11:11

@Sarah2328 ah best of luck to you/ I was going to say that for my first two transfers I waited until OTD and for the third one I tested early at 6days. I really regret testing early because it's not possible to be certain until OTD so every day you are either hopeful or scared that the result will change (depending on if it's +-) rather than just ripping the bandaid off in one go. It's a personal thing / I'm going to try to make it to OTD or day b4

@RoddyRoo it's maddening. I am kind of pleased not to have any symptoms atm because I'm not going ooooh is it implantation bleeding oooh is it my hcg but obviously equally your mind then starts to think well I'm definitely out then...the reality is you can never know what any symptoms you get are down to as you say!

Sarah2328 · 11/10/2021 11:17

@Bobtat I wish you all the best 😘🤞🏻

If you don't mind me asking when you tested early on your previous cycles did you get a +/-

I honestly am struggling now, the suspense is killing me, but just 2 more days. I can do this ☺️😣 x

Bobtat · 11/10/2021 11:49

@Sarah2328 you've got this! Not at all - when I tested early I got a negative.
I think you have to do whatever feels right for you and there's no right or wrong - I just personally found it hard when I tested early and not just because it was negative. There were other ladies in the group who got positives early that then turned negative by OTD as they had chemical pregnancies or trigger hormones left from fresh cycle and I would have been equally sad to have had that happen. The two times I waited until OTD I got positive results but even if they had been negatives I still think I would rather just deal with a negative once if it hasn't worked than every day doing a new test and hoping for it to change.

Sarah2328 · 11/10/2021 11:55

@Bobtat so sorry to hear you have been through this so many times already, fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Yeah i think this is why I'm scared to test early just in case I get false negative or positives.

Do you think one day early will be okay? I thought the 2week wait would mean 14 days but the clinic told me to test on Thursday which would be 11 days x

Bobtat · 11/10/2021 12:55

@Sarah2328 thank you - it's not been too bad - my first two transfers worked so I have a three year old and a one year old! Yes - when I said I waited I forgot I actually asked clinic if I could do day 10 first time and they said fine. X

Sarah2328 · 11/10/2021 13:01

@Bobtat oo that's amazing 3 year old and a one, well I wish you the best of luck for the third 🤞🏻

Ahh perfect, 2 more days then, I can do this ☺️ x

Aim2912 · 11/10/2021 13:10

@bobtat just caught up with the chat, wow your already on your 2ww. hope it not to nerve racking. :S

in still growing my lining, have a scan on Thursday, just hope its growing fine as this will be the 1st scan since the baseline.

@sarah2328 well done for getting this far, its not too long now. i know its hard, but i wouldn't text before day 10, especially on a fresh transfer as you have taken HCG in your trigger.

Sarah2328 · 11/10/2021 13:25

@Aim2912 thanks for the advice, I'm going to test at day 10 so one day before my actual test date. As hard as it is, I will hold off x

Dizzyhedgehog · 11/10/2021 13:39

@bobtat Yeah, mostly OK. We'll see what tomorrow brings. I'm on half term, so have spent the morning with DS at our local theme park. Just having a chilled out day and keep my fingers crossed for tomorrow. I haven't heard anything from the clinic, but they said they wouldn't really know much before Tuesday anyway. No news is hopefully good news.

Justawannabemam · 11/10/2021 16:08

Hi everyone.
I'm just back from egg collection. Got 6 . Which is an improvement on the 4 that I thought but I also am aware it's not the best. And that we may loose some . It's on there hands now and nothing I can do. And like the nurse said to me . It only takes one and quality over quantity. . Will get a call tomorrow to see what's fertilised.

I've not read through the posts for today. Hope everyone is well and resting. X
