Third scan of the week was fine phew he said he couldn’t see the hematoma so who knows! We’re back again Tuesday for another scan they can’t get rid of us! Xx

Thank you! @GJW2018 @Rj1988 @Sarah2328 ! It went well and I got 17 eggs. I was maybe expecting more given the 31 on the scan but I know that's still a v high number so I am grateful. Got some antibiotics to stop infection as there was a lot of fluid but all good otherwise. She said if I get a period in 5-7 days I can call straight away to start FET which is much sooner than imagined. Wishing them fertilised thoughts! So glad to be done, she said my pain was because my enlarged ovaries were gearing my adhesions open so I'm so glad to be done and feeling much better now! Got some strong antibiotics just then which I think is helping haha.

I forgot to say we got 9 eggs which is around what we were expecting! Hoping for a good outcome tomorrow when they call!

Yes Tuesday was the follow up we had booked in originally and hopefully will be discharged from Guys.

@HereToLearnAndShare we got 9, which I think is decent 🤷🏼‍♀️ guess it only takes one doesn't it? Although some for the freezer would be nice!
I don't feel too bad at all now, a bit achey & sore but came round very quickly. All the staff were lovely & you fall asleep super quickly & wake up when it's all done

Ah @etonmess20 down in the pharmacy now (40 min wait...) and only just saw that sorry, didn't want to disturb you but hope you're feeling good! 9 is awesome, that's a much better hit rate on what they took vs what they saw on your scan compared to me for sure so I think they will be in good shape! Thinking fertilised thoughts for you tomorrow. I wonder if we get the call morning or afternoon. Hahah glad you could hear that accent nice and loudly, DP always manages to embarrass me at that place and this time he spilled his entire water on the floor and the embryologist was cleaning it up 😂 make sure you have a nice restful weekend xx

@HereToLearnAndShare they will call tomorrow. And if they get 6 or less fertilised (which they think is unlikely) they will freeze straight away tomorrow rather than waiting til day 5 which I thought was interesting. Also atm you don't order the meds, you get them at the pharmacy downstairs so I'm waiting for them along with my antibiotics. But weirdly they only give you enough for half the time then she said you have to come get more.

@Vparisi oh that's annoying, did they not give you all the meds you needed?
I'm really thinking all the fertilised thoughts for us both, got everything crossed we both get really good numbers. Think the letter they gave me says the call is usually in the morning so hopefully they don't keep us waiting too long!
Really good about your FET being really soon as well, that's a nice surprise isn't it?
The embryologist said my 5 day transfer (assuming we get that far) will actually be Wednesday rather than Tuesday (they'll confirm with us tomorrow I think) but that would mean OTD would be my birthday 😂 don't you love life?!

How are you feeling? I'm a bit sore & achey but feel fine otherwise. We were naughty & got the train home cus I felt absolutely fine! 😬 was slightly paranoid they'd be watching out the window haha!!

@Vparisi Iol thats super funny with your DP 😂 so we can easily recognize you whenever you are together in the hospital 😁
I dont understand the logic behind freezing then on day 2 in case they are very few fertilized, but I believe they know better what they are doing so...
Do you mean the meds you need to take before the transfer or the antibiotics? Because apart from the injections I havent received any pills so I was wondering at which stage they are giving them to you if tou do freeze all

@Etonmess20 tbh if I feel well, I planned to get the train too (with my DH) as we leave only 2 stops away from London bridge.

@HereToLearnAndShare I would if you feel fine, we had a slow walk back to London Bridge then straight onto the train home, we're 4 stops & then we live less than half a mile from the station the other end so it just made sense. Obviously if I'd have felt bad I'd have got a taxi but seemed a waste of money otherwise 🤷🏼‍♀️ they had mentioned getting a taxi/lift before at previous appointments but didn't mention it at all today!

@Vparisi if you haven't ohss symptom then start increasing your protein intake - it apparently helps in reducing the fluid

My transfer was all good.. it was super quick infact, they were literally done in 5 mins.. did feel slightly uncomfortable bec of full bladder but otherwise it was smooth..

The embryo they transferred was a 4AB Earlier they said it's a 5AB so not sure if it shrinked after thawing

Just had a call from the embryologist who says we've got 4 fertilised (out of 9) & two maybes who he says need a couple more hours so a max of 6 I think. He's booked me for a transfer on Wednesday so 🤞🏻

@PicoUK75 welcome, I'm NHS so no experience I can share unfortunately

Hey @Etonmess20 congrats!! I'm so happy for you. Will be crossing my fingers for the transfer. Unfortunately I had a really poor outcome. Of 17 6 were mature, 3 fertilised and they are freezing them today but with that hit rate the chances any of those will be viable are less than 35% so maybe we will get 1. The embryologist said she is shocked at how that worked out as it is a very bad outcome. We are devastated, the doctor is going to call next week to discuss what went wrong, but realistically if that's what happened in my 20s I'm not sure trying again is the answer. I'm just in shock as 4 days ago I had 31 on a scan and they were saying how amazing it all looked and now we basically have nothing.

@HereToLearnAndShare this was the antibiotics and also the meds for the FET (if I even need them). For some reason they are just doing them from the pharmacy at the moment.

@Rj1988 crossing my fingers for you!

@Vparisi oh that's such awful news, I'm absolutely devastated for you.
There's nothing more either of you could have done to make this a different outcome & I'm really hoping that the doctor will have some suggestions next week around whether a different medication /dosage may help. Try not to lose hope as all isn't lost from this cycle yet & it also doesn't mean it can't/won't work in the future with some tweaks.
