@HereToLearnAndShare did they call off a no caller ID? I missed a call at lunchtime from a no number but they didn't leave a message so no idea whether it was them or not 🤷🏼‍♀️ I got an email where it let you click to choose a delivery date - did you get that one too?

@becarefuloutthere that makes sense actually, guess in your mind you're two but you're technically 4 at that point! But yeah it has gone super quick. Well done for managing to stay out, hope you're not paying for it too much today! How's your house coming along?
Is your scan QE Woolwich & did I remember you saying you'll have moved before your due date? Sorry 20 questions 😂

@HereToLearnAndShare they should have given you an option in the email where you can choose the delivery so you don't have to call back. That's what happened with me at least

@HereToLearnAndShare yeah that's it. Gonna be weird getting scanned at another hospital! Whoop to Monday, wonderful news!
@Etonmess20 I'm ok thankfully, the aching isn't too bad, just feel bad mentally now for being out all day. So silly as all I did was walk about and then play giant jenga and croquet, couldn't have disturbed the bean I don't think!
Mortgage is approved and so is the buyers so just waiting on searches to be returned and then we can get an exchange date planned 😬 the buyer is coming over today to measure stuff up!
Yeah well remembered! I've got a 16 week appointment with the midwife there mid September and then I'll reckon we'll be moved by the 20 week one. Lol I love the questions, you carry on hun! 👍🏾

Great news about both your medication @HereToLearnAndShare and @Etonmess20 . Will have to let me know if you're able to watch the instruction videos or if it doesn't work for you either! Looking forward to the 3 of us starting so much. Hoping someone can tell me how on earth you're meant to stay motivated and focused at work in the lead up.....struggling a lot atm to find the energy to care at work like I used to tbh.

@Vparisi have you told your boss? I found that helped me so when I wasn't being on top form at least she'd know why etc. Could help?! X

@Vparisi I will let you know about the videos as soon as I receive the meds. I have the same issue with focusing at work.. I can't imagine what will be when we actually start the stim and everything! Hope I will manage to keep my job 😅

@Etonmess20 I'm incredibly excited!! Just really want to get exchange now and then it'll feel real and we can start ordering furniture etc. It was such a fun day! It was like a summer wedding, with giant games, drinks, bbq and a singer. He came round and did requests which looked cringe but when he came over to us the group picked some bangers so it was really good fun!
So pleased you're all starting soon, it's so important to have support from ppl going through it at the same time. I'll be on the sidelines cheering you on all 🎉

@becarefuloutthere have you got Pinterest boards coming out of your ears? 😂 I LOVE that part of it! Literally got it all going on bless you!
That sounds amazing btw, feel like that's exactly what I need in my life after all this covid! The company I work for never do anything like that!

@Etonmess20 you know what I haven't. Dh is a mortgage advisor and he's been so strict with not getting carried away in case everything fell through and it's actually rubbed off on me and it's been a worry rather than a fun process, thanks Dh 😝 but you've reminded me of Pinterest now so heading there after I've posted this 😆
Yeah it's nice to finally be doing these things, this was what we wanted in 2019 but prob a good thing nothing happened last year on both fronts, at least the future looks better now Covid wise.
My company don't usually go all out like that so it was a nice surprise. We've grown loads since the pandemic started and all worked so bloody hard so it was nice to be rewarded!

@becarefuloutthere oh he hasn't, I hate it when they bring you back down to earth...like how dare you hun, I'm enjoying floating on my dream cloud 😂 I say that but I deffo need my DH reining me in every now & again. Deffo go & indulge in some Pinterest dreaming - it's a form of therapy I find!
That is true, you kind of have to believe that everything happens for a reason don't you (or else you'd lose your mind sometimes - especially on this journey!)
So nice that they've recognised that & treated you all to a lovely day! I feel like I need to go to a good wedding or something but the next one we currently have booked in is September 2022 😬

@Etonmess20 we have the exact same haul! It's so daunting. Takes up a shelf on the fridge. Have either you or @HereToLearnAndShare been doing the IVF calculator and planning potential due date from all the dates or is that just me getting way ahead of myself haha.

@becarefuloutthere no not really in the position to tell work unfortunately, in a very male dominated American investment banking environment where these types of things aren't really discussed but as you said I think it would have been helpful. Your work thing sounds amazing and sooo exciting about your house! We were looking to buy and decided to hold off to see if IVF is successful or not first.

@Vparisi I have been calculating the estimate date but not using the app yet.
My situation at work is similar - mostly man around me and even that my manager is a great person I am worried about how they will react if they know what I am planning 🙄 not that they will fire me or something, but lets say they will not promote me either 😳 Can be just a stereotype, but I think man are not as tolerant when it comes to family planning and work.

@Etonmess20 that looks a lot! You are short protocol right? If I remember correctly the three of us are short

@Vparisi I have also watched the video on the menopur injections - is this the one you couldn't access via the QR code?
I do hope the hospital are planning on going us some kind of sheet with doses & times on cus my brain is already fried 😂 DP was looked slightly concerned watching how to mix it all up 😂
OMG I've deffo been doing the calculator 😳 I'd assumed around 25th August for transfer - is this the sort of date you'd be expecting or am I wildly out?

@HereToLearnAndShare yeah I am short protocol! Baffled by how much stuff has turned up & how many injections this means I need to have 😂

@HereToLearnAndShare yep same with me, they aren't going to fire me but definitely won't be any benefit. I'm sure there are some great male bosses but I think in general females are for sure a lot more understanding and empathetic about this type of thing.

@Etonmess20 yep that's the one I couldn't watch! Maybe will try again. I hope the nurses give us a very detailed sheet as it is soo complicated! I see people saying they won't take the vaccine cos they don't want to put unnatural things in their body and I'm like wow that is a massive luxury cos when you're doing IVF you learn to shut up and inject what you're told haha! Maybe dumb question but we don't need to bring meds to our first appt do we?
Yes that is exactly what I have!! I worked it out as:
Day 10 scan Wednesday 18th
EC Saturday 21st
ET Wednesday 25th
Test Saturday 4th
Due date May 13th

Glad I can write that down somewhere cos this is the only place I can get excited about planning like that and not sound insane...

@Vparisi yeah maybe give it a go again, you can select the strengths of the menopur at the top of the screen & then the video loads automatically (although it did take a little while). This is the link from watching it on my phone if that helps at all!

Omg I know, I am so glad to be getting my 2nd jab on Friday - appreciate everyone has their own opinions but I really would rather be protected (I also really want a holiday in September too 😂😂). But when I think about all this stuff we're going to be putting into our bodies I don't really see the difference, I feel like I trust the medical professionals to know whats best (purely my opinion of course!)
No I don't think we do need to bring meds to our first appointment (definitely haven't had that mentioned to me) but we do need to print out & complete the day surgery form don't we?
Your dates are very similar to mine, mine were probably a couple of days earlier purely because on the 9th I should be CD4 & I think you'll be a bit earlier won't you?
My birthday is 5th September too, either going to have a really good or really bad birthday this year 😂😂😂 I did think it was just me who was mental enough to be calculating all this but clearly not 😜 you've got to have hope though haven't you? Only thing that keeps you going!

They do give you a print out calendar with amounts and whether to do it am or pm too. and luckily they said don't worry too much about being around the same time but that might have been the meds i was on as definitely different to you guys. They give you the calendar up to your scan date - mine was 8 days from baseline scan / first pm injection and then they decide if you need to go longer. which i did
in total i think i did 11 days so 20 injections
they show you how to do them all at your appointment- i took DH so he could be shown as i have a fear of needles 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ but no need to bring your meds as they have a ones to show you with 🙂

I 1000% agree, one thing this process is showing me is how incredible science is and how lucky we are that medical researchers have found a way to make this happen for us. Wait you got forms?? I got my call to schedule a scan a couple weeks ago as you know but they never said anything about forms or emailing anything, that was the last contact I got. Maybe I should follow up.

Yep I'll be on CD2. Forgive the maybe dumb question does that make a difference? Won't both our scans just be 8-11 days from starting the injections? It's all so complicated! Ooh i have my fingers crossed you'll be having an amazing birthday.

@Vparisi glad you managed to watch it - was it me or was the woman doing it slightly evil looking? 😂😂 like she was mixing up some kind of lethal injection!
Did you not get any emails at all from them after that? I got an email later that day that discussed next steps, covid guidance & then had a few attachments on the bottom. One of which is a pre assessment questionnaire that I need to take to the scan. I assume this is for the sedation for the EC - wondering whether that's why you may not have one as they're inning & ahhing about a freeze all but I'd have thought you'd have still got an email to follow up after your call anyway 🤷🏼‍♀️
You know I've been thinking about it & I don't actually know whether it will - if they count day 9 scan as the 9th day of injections rather than CD9 which, I'm sure it'll all become clear on 9th but it's just so strange not knowing what you'll be doing & when isn't it?
