@HereToLearnAndShare ah lovely to be on holiday, hope somewhere beautiful 😍 we're waiting to see if we can go to Santorini in August 🤞🏾I'm ok, still feel sick, think it'll last until the second trimester but I've found coping mechanisms.
@GJW2018 I was on utrogestan and took it twice a day so got 400mg. Interesting that you got the choice! I'm nhs so guessing it was cheaper 🤷🏾‍♀️

@morganablue @EmJay19 you're both still in, keeping everything crossed for good news in the next couple of days! I bet the wait is horrendous!

@HereToLearnAndShare glad you're getting some relaxation in, whereabouts have you gone?

@becarefuloutthere Santorini....stop it!!! 😍 waiting to find out whether we'll be doing August or September until we can decide on a holiday - I sooooo need some sun!!

@Etonmess20 I know! Trying to not get too excited in case it all falls through! 😬 I hope we'll at least go somewhere if not there. Yes, sun with water near by! That's what we miss when it's sunny in London, not a sea or pool in sight! I hope you hear back soon 🤞🏾

Thanks @becarefuloutthere I hope you can book your holiday soon! Having moved to the UK in November in Aus I can definitely say 30 degrees here is a whole different story. Being close to the water makes such a difference!

You are all so bloody great thanks guys. It’s not good news for me today I’m afraid. I do have my 20 month old DS so this is obviously nowhere near as horrendous as it has been in the past.

I’m glad to be giving up the meds I won’t lie. Going to have a super detox over the next couple of months, try and shed a few pounds and get ready for another fresh round.

One thing that makes me sad is that this embryo has been waiting for us for a long time and would have been from the same batch as my son which I would have loved but I have to let it go. They are so precious though!

Oh @EmJay19 I am so so sorry to hear that. Was really hoping for a better outcome. Give your DS a huge hug today. I know the sentimental part of the same batch would have been nice but in the end the next batch will still be you. So sorry and hope you're OK xxx

@Vparisi it's booked, well flights are. We had to cancel the hotel and we're waiting until two weeks before we go to book another as that's the latest we can cancel it and we should know about which list Greece is on by then. Dh is double jabbed but I'm not which adds another layer of complexity to it.

It really does! The heat is so humid here and you can barely breathe when you're in smoggy London 😆

So ACU replied to my email to say I am 2-3 WEEKS away from a phone call to schedule treatment. Errrrrrrr NO.

Just on hold waiting to give them a piece of my mind now 🙃

Now waiting for someone to call me back - apparently the person who responded to my email said it's a "generic response" & that if I've been told I'll be called by today then I still will be 🤷🏼‍♀️ but I said to her they need to be so careful with all this mixed messaging because this was my original complaint & it's not fair to keep putting people through this 🤦🏼‍♀️
She said "it might not be today" someone calls me back & I was like realistically it needs to be because that's what I was promise & she's then trying to argue the specifics of "early next week" 😤 so fed up of this shit honestly

@Etonmess20 thank you, he is not too bad! Got over the worst of it and I'm still neg and healthy today luckily. But what the actual f? How is it possible that I can have my appt 30 mins after you and be told it isn't even necessarily a freeze all (so we are having the exact same treatment) and be starting in 2 weeks and you can be told it is 2-3 weeks away?! It is actually outrageous and so unfair. I don't understand why they're saying to you early next week and then doing this. If there's anything I can do to help (it you think it would help to PM you my real name maybe so you can have an example of where you should be on the list let me know! Ugh so frustrating

@Vparisi glad he's feeling better & glad you're still negative 🙏🏼 hopefully you've dodged it!

So I've now sent another email basically formalising what I said on the phone (with the complaints people cc'd again) to basically say this is another example of the crap communication i mentioned the other week, not fair, broken promises, added stress etc & said I'd appreciate a call today to schedule my treatment (as promised) or else I'll have no option but to make a formal complaint. The woman on the phone was quite sassy & it's just really pissed me off. I'm going to see what they come back with but failing that I may well end up taking you up on that offer (if you're sure you don't mind) so that I can add that detail in too. I also don't think we're having different treatment, especially if you've been told you're not even necessarily having a frozen cycle & it's just a wait & see type scenario (they told us that is always an option anyway!)

got my call! So 16 eggs - 14 mature - 7 fertilized - Saturday is 5 day transfer :) i feel super happy with 7 potentials but i know they won't all make it to Saturday

i can't believe this could be it - i haven't been pregnant since 2017!

@Vparisi just had a call from someone at guys, lovely Irish lady & she really listened to my concerns & is now trying her hardest to squeeze me in before September but is going to call me back later to confirm dates & what they can do 🙏🏼

@Welshpea great result, best of luck for Saturday! I had 8 fertilised and 4 made it to blasts.

@EmJay19 I am so sorry lovely. I know the feeling. I am waiting for tomorrow, but I have tested earlier this morning and it was negative.
Then a bit blurry, but could possibly be evaporation line. So not really holding up much hope for tomorrow. We both feel a bit devastated honestly, we are trying for our first baby and we were so hopeful on our 5AB (also, only cycle covered on NHS).

@GJW2018 this is a great number, keeping all crossed for you!

@Etonmess20 oh mate, they should really stop giving mix up info, they don't understand how much how lives are literally functioning only around this.

For the rest, I wonder how long after a fresh cycle you can do a FET, we only have one embryo that made it to freezing stage (which is a bit sad with 10 eggs fertilised), but I also wonder if I should instead go For a full fresh again, as I guess chances of success get lower with age.

Meanwhile have complained to counselling as I had an appointment (my first) for the 2/07 and they cancelled me on the day. (Actually only after I email them, they did not even let me know about the cancellation until I did) and after ages rebooked me for mid August which is not the most helpful.

I will still update you all tomorrow, just in case of a miracle. :) Love to all

The lovely lady phoned me back (Mary I think her name was) & IVE GOT A SCAN APPOINTMENT ON 9TH AUGUST. I could have kissed her 😭

@morganablue really sorry :( must be such a devastating feeling. I think you can do a frozen your next cycle? It is so crap that counselling would cancel your first oje, seriously. This place blows my mind sometimes still crossing my fingers for a miracle but we are all here for you, sending lots of love.

@morganablue I'm so sorry 😔 that's awful & you definitely need to take the time to feel the emotions & regroup together. Does a cycle just include a fresh transfer or do you have funding for a frozen transfer too?

Have you considered all the tests in the country could be wrong? It might have crossed my mind 🤣🤦🏻‍♀️

I might be wrong but think you’re entitled to use your frozen embryo under NHS, I think you usually qualify to use everything under your first cycle until you have a live birth.

I really do feel for you if it is bad news. You just have to remember it will happen!! IVF is a really ugly numbers game. The way I look at it is the odds are more in your favour next time. We were advised to wait two months between tries, to give your body a chance to recover.
