@2mumlife How are you doing?
@Alexm06 Congrats on the transfer! I'm keeping my fingers crossed you get something to freeze too - that would be a lovely bonus.
@C1aire85 Glad you got plenty of eggs, hope all is ok and that at least one was suitable for transfer.
@Flissa7 Sorry to hear your sad news, hope you are being well looked after.
@Georgie87B How are you feeling? Do you have a viability scan booked in?
@Louweeze Hope is all ok and your transfer went ahead as planned.
@notyetamumbuttrying Congrats on 10 collected! Regarding the attrition rate, it varies so massively that it's not really worth thinking much about. And each stage is so different too e.g. one couple might get a really low fertilisation rate but then they all make it to day 5, another couple might have them all fertilise and make it to day 3 but then most of them drop off between days 3 and 5 etc. I like to try to take things one step at a time, I think of it like a series of hurdles that have to be cleared in order to get to the end goal of a live take home baby.
@RazzleDazz1e Sorry you got such a poor fertilisation outcome. That really sucks. I hope that one little embryo makes it.
@strawberrysummer19 Congrats on making it to transfer! I know someone who got pregnant with a day 6 morula (so embryo was 2 days behind) so there is definitely still a chance! Sorry you didn't get anything to freeze, the one you transferred is in the best environment, also they will have picked the strongest looking one to transfer.
@Tarsette Hope you are feeling better and all goes smoothly on Friday!
Oh @VenusStarr, what a rollercoaster. With such low hCG and faint lines I'm worried that it won't be a good outcome but it does sound like the lines are getting darker so I'd also be doing the progesterone pessary "just in case". I'm hoping against hope that it's a miracle for you.
I hope I managed to reply to everyone, apologies if I forgot someone!
We have good news from the clinic, they were able to freeze 3 blastocysts on Sunday (day 5), grades 5AB, 5AB, 4/5BB (this one was just starting to hatch apparently) and a further 2 on Monday (day 6) (grades 4AB and 4BB). I'm satisfied with this outcome. I stopped luteal support on Sunday and just started bleeding today. We would have transferred if nothing was freezable but I am grateful we were able to achieve our goal for this cycle.
Next steps are to take a month or two off then plan our next transfer. We want to transfer in December/January and our clinic currently has a 3 month wait so we need to be fairly proactive in getting things organised in advance.
