Hello 👋🏼!! About to embark on the absolutely terrifying process of IVF in June (once my next cycle finishes) and though it might be nice to get chatting to some people going through the same? Meds due tomorrow and bloods booked in for Saturday - Let me know if you are in the same boat would be great to get some support from some fellow infertility warriors ❤️x

Hey! I just got an embryos transfer on the 4th, and I'm waiting for my next blood test!!! Good luck to you all

@RiverRiot me neither! I asked and they said because it's been six months since the last scan they usually don't re scan - tbh I was so happy that I was finally off the waiting list I didn't question it! I'm on day six of stims today so taken the fyremadal this morning and the dalacin cream this eve - Friday will be day 9 so think that's a covid swab and isolation before EC the following week- it's the short antagonist protocol so feels like it's super fast! x

@Luan82 @RiverRiot I'd never even heard of a baseline scan until I've been on a few of these threads! And apparently if my AMH wasn't high they wouldn't have done a day 6 scan! It is just so varied in how much different fertility clinics check up on us.
@Luan82 so is your EC provisionally in for Monday?

Hi @ZzzlazyzzZ how are you feeling after the embryo transfer? When is your blood test?

@Coops0406 I'm the opposite with low amh! They said on the zoom appointment with the nurse that they would arrange EC at the scan day 9, I think she said week commencing the 14th but they only do egg collection mid week so around the 16th? I'll know more on Friday - I hope !! 😂x

@Luan82 so you'll be on stims a little longer then? I had day 10 scan yesterday and collection booked for tomorrow, even though I only just scraped in for it! I actually thought they might have continued stims for a couple of days for me but I guess they thought the others were too far behind!

@Coops0406 hmmm actually looking at the diary looks like I'm only stimming till day nine which is the scan so maybe EC is sooner? Like Monday ? I should have written down what the nurse said 🤦🏻‍♀️ x

@Luan82 Normally it’ll depend on how you’re doing on Friday. At my clinic they need 3 follicles over 18mm to go ahead with egg collection. So if you’re not quite at that stage or similar they’ll keep you on stims for a bit longer.
If you’re good to go, you could trigger that evening and EC 36 hours later so that’d be Sunday.
However, if they only do EC on certain days it’ll be interesting to see how they manage that. e.g. If they stop stims but carry on with the fyremadel maybe?

What’s the delightful cream for?

@RiverRiot ah I see!! Lots riding on Friday then 😬 the dalacin cream is antibiotic cream, I'm guessing prior to EC to stop potential infection? x

I got my call from the embryologist - 9 eggs out of 11 fertilised normally! Way more than I hoped for. Fingers crossed there's a few good uns there. My husband has super good sperm (every time I went for IUI they were like this is an excellent sample! haha) so they were doing their job yesterday!

Transfer first thing on Saturday morning!

@Luan82 Interesting how all the clinics have different procedures. We just get told to have a shower/bath the morning of EC. I mean, as if you wouldn’t with people poking about in your nether regions!

@RiverRiot I asked if I could get an update and she said she'd call on day 3 to let me know how they're progressing.

I didn't get told to have a shower or a bath but for the sake of the people involved, I did anyway. haha!

This is great news! And so exciting for transfer day.

I got the same call this morning and 16 of the 18 collected were mature and 13 of those have fertilised. They’ll call again on day 3. To let us know how many are still going strong.

Yes, I was on a IV fluid for hours after the retrieval- they wouldn’t let me leave until I’d finished 1 bag and then one bottle. Dr said afterwards that they had had to remove lots of fluid so they had to replenish me and bring my BP back up.

I’m not in any pain today, just swollen and bloated tummy. Got up this morning thinking I was fine and then got all dizzy so I’ve retreated back to bed now.

Very exciting for all of your injection free days. Fingers crossed for your ECs tomorrow ladies!,

@RiverRiot isn't it!! I spoke to the clinic this morning to ask about potential EC and she said depending on how your ovaries have reacted to the stims they may be ready to go after Friday for EC on the weekend but they may also need more encouragement so it all depends on the size they undertake EC's every day so could be anything up to end of next week! Eeeeeek
@Ofpalestsilver @Tealismycolour wow those are great numbers and amazing news on the fertilisation rates too!! I'm going to be very cautiously pessimistic on Friday as to my predicted numbers - low amh (4.6) and low afc (7) numbers to contend with so I'll be happy with anywhere near seven so long as they're decent quality !!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

@Luan82 you’re right to be cautious though I’d go for cautious optimism. Whatever number you get I hope they’re total winners!

I was feeling pretty fine on the transfer day and the next day, just abit tired and lazy. Then Sunday start to feel a little cramping here and there, little chills and frozen feet, maybe because I was blasting the air conditioner but nothing unusual, then all of a sudden yesterday I start feeling very nauseous, and puke my lungs out after I had a chocolate croissant... I am just hoping this means good news 🙏🏼 Blood test on Friday!! Alittle nervous and exciting..

Hi all, we got 2 eggs from our 3-4 follicles. I know it's rubbish but from where we started we're just thankful that there was something. Didn't feel a thing and thought I was napping at home on the sofa! Due to only a couple of eggs, if we fertilise and get to day 5 we will be having a fresh transfer! OH did a great sample too so they aren't doing ICSI...I think info from preston up to Chester has somehow got misconstrued so they didn't get the right info from his most recent sample!

😂😂. Ah poor you I had that with the antibiotics from my hycosy, they absolutely knocked me for six. Hope you feel better tomorrow!

I’m good thank you, much better than I expected, but that could just be the delightful painkilling suppository I had to take this morning. 😳

@Coops0406 That’s great they don’t have to do ICSI! I’ve read that (statistically at least) embryos tend to be a bit stronger with traditional IVF so I’m hoping you get one for Monday and one for the freezer! 🤞🏼

We’re doing a 50/50 split of IVF and ICSI. Although they said if a lot of my eggs are immature/post mature they’ll convert all mature ones to ICSI, guess I’ll find out tomorrow. 😬

After being really good on the food front, I’m ordering pizza tonight. Is anyone else treating themselves to something nice?

@busybee2102 lovely biscuits haha! I had bourbons after mine which I hate but I was sitting there chomping them like a good girl! I was totally shattered afterwards. I pretty much slept all day. Wish I’d had the next day off now!

@RiverRiot nothing like a wee painkiller up the bum to make you feel alive haha. I’ve been feeling weird ever since EC thinking about the poor doctor shoving antibiotics and painkillers up me bum hole

What is everyone’s progesterone schedule? I’ve been three times a day since EC (well 2 that day) and as an IBS sufferer I’m not loving it! If I never have to put things up my bum ever again I’ll be happy haha!

Also I see lots of people posting 10dp5dt and stuff like that… what does it mean? I think I know but it’s confusing!
