IVF - egg collection June (starting down regulation in May)

Hi ladies, would be great to chat to anyone who is about to start down regulation, in prep for stims later in the month and egg collection early June.

I start Norethisterone tomorrow. Will be at UCLH/CRGH, first ever IVF. We have MFI.

Mostly terrified of the needles! I have this irrational fear that I could puncture an organ - someone tell me that's not possible?! lol

@ivf2021 not sure really. Impatient! Just been tidying the house to keep myself busy. Nearly bedtime so… not much longer to go.

@Ofpalestsilver hopefully u can get a good nights sleep! Do u get a phonecall in the morning? Or go straight in for transfer! I'll keep everything crossed for u tomorrow ❤️ x

@ivf2021 no call that I’m aware of I’ll just go in and hope for the best! I guess it is really exciting. As far as I know all 9 we’re doing well. I know it’s likely to lose a considerable amount but I’ll remain hopeful for some good quality embryos. I think I would be upset if they weren’t good quality but will cross that bridge when I get there. It’s exciting to think that this could be the moment I become pregnant! Obviously I did lots of IUI but it was still a bit of a guessing game!

Oh and I just noticed the question about vaccinations. I had mine a couple of days before I started treatment. For me, I 100% wanted it and when the guidelines changed I was like yep, jab me, no concerns!

@ivf2021 that's really interesting! I haven't googled much apart from what I should be eating! Fully bloated with the pessaries!

@Ofpalestsilver it's sooooo exciting 🥰 transfer day for me is the moment I would be most excited for 🤞🏻 obviously apart from the BFP! Ur odds with 9 is amazing! Good luck tomorrow! @Coops0406 bless u! Atleast u know ur body is getting prepared for baby ❤️ I research everything maybe abit too much! But it really helps with the worry and anxiety of it all. Every phonecall or appointment I have I need to know what is the best and worst scenario and everything in between. My friend who has just been through it is the complete opposite and literally didn't know anything. She said to her consultant don't tell me anything other than what dates u need to see me haha! X

@ivf2021 that's great...I have a friend exactly like that and she is a fountain of knowledge! It's great' I can never seem to get the kind of answers I need to hear and maybe don't dig enough, I end up feeling bad for asking!

@Coops0406 it’s hard though isn’t it? I don’t think I’d want to know everything. My mate did it and was really into every single stat and number. That really worked for her. At the moment I’m kinda just hoping for magic but then I get annoyed when the answers aren’t what I’m hoping for… maybe we become pros over time? Not that we’ll need to do this again since we’ll be BFPing in a couple of weeks!!

@Ofpalestsilver hope tomorrow goes well. It's a big day and getting to it is a big achievement, I cried after my 1st transfer, as I was just glad I got there. You had 9 growing well so there will for sure be some good ones there. X

@Ofpalestsilver I think I would normally be into knowing everything but the thing with ivf is it's so changeable that I kind of figure they don't mean to much! Look at us for example, lucky still to be hanging in there by a thread with the numbers totally against us!
Just think, in a few hours you'll be PUPO! Can't believe I've written that when a couple of weeks ago I had no idea what it meant 🤣 exciting day for you and you'll get to see it on screen too!!

@Coops0406 haha yes PUPO! I have to say I hate that term cute as it sounds haha! Hopefully in 2 weeks I’ll be PP pregnant and proven! That’s the goal! Watching it on screen will be cool. Ok I’m getting excited now!

@Aim2912 @Coops0406 - thank you! I know you'll get it due to similar numbers 🙏🏼🤞🏼she is mention but silly me didn't write it down! I think for the two dominant ones so they aren't too large yet so not concerned about the extra stims and they are happy to get the smaller ones to grow a bit
@ivf2021 that's amazing !!! Can't believe the numbers can fluctuate that much ! The nurse seemed very happy with the left ovary so I'm pleased overall 🤞🏼❤️

*TMI warning!! Last night I had a gush of Egg white fluid come out more than I've ever experienced- has anyone else had this? Today my tummy is much less swollen too - I think the hormones are causing my endo to flare up too as keep getting stabbing pains symptomatic of endometriosis pain x

@Coops0406 like u say all of the information fluctuates so much on different sites! It's not cause I want or need to know everything. I wish I didn't want to know anything like my friend haha! It's more so a anxiety (control) thing. Before every appointment I always say to my OH right this is the 4 scenarios that could happen today 🤣 he thinks I'm crazy but it really helps manage my expectations.

@Luan82 I didn't have egg white but I did constantly think I had ovulated with the discharge.
I read that it's just the hormones and means ur body is doing what it's supposed to be.

@luan42 I had loads of discharge so sounds pretty typical. Sorry to hear about the ends symptoms. Sounds not fun!

So I had two blasts and two potentials (we’ll see tomorrow). The clinic was like they’re ok quality but I looked it up and they’re quite poor - 3BC. Made me sad. And then my bladder wasn’t full enough so I had to wait for an hour which just made me ruminate more. But also appreciating my good fortune. I have an embryo in & it’s been a long time since that’s been the case so that’s a better position than I’ve been.

Test date is 24.06 so far away!!

@ivf2021 it's always better to be prepared for all scenarios so there are no surprises...it's such a difficult process.

We had our call and our embryo is developing as thru would expect and they said they would grade it as good 😊 so pleased and now hoping that we don't get a call on Monday morning and can go in 🤞🏾

@Ofpalestsilver, congratulations on your transfer. Look after your self, staying calm and stress free is key. Rest up, hopefully the two weeks don't feel so long.

@ivf2021 my OH is exactly like you. He Googlesaa to death everything about each step. I just listen to what he has found. This time I've taken a more go with flow approach, I've accepted its not in my control.

@Coops0406 glad to know yours is doing well. Hope is all we can go.

@Luan82 I has loads of discharge too, it all normal and a good sign. Hope the endo stays at bay, I know that can be so painfull.

As for me 6 have developed to cleavlage stage. 3 are good, 3 are average. The others started fragmenting and they were not sure why so they will stop growing them tomorrow. Next update on Monday.

@Aim2912 amazing 6 is a great number! Only 2 more days to go ❤️ feel like this has been such a looooong wait already! Haha my OH is the same as u he's really chilled and just thinking it's totally out of our control now. He's just having the time of his life in isolation now this bloody football has started .. I'm sick of it already haha!

@Coops0406 yeah they booked us in for Monday when they rang on day 1. Just hoping with no updates until day 5 that we have Atleast 1 blastocyst that can be transferred🤞🏻🙏🏻❤️ we have a video call at 10am on Monday to discuss our embryos & if transfer can go ahead 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 then we are booked in for 12:30 aslong as everything is ok! What time are u booked in? We're with Gateshead Fertilty clinic (nhs)

@Coops0406 yup I've got a scan at half eleven this morning so will know more then, either egg collection date or another few days of stims
