IVF - egg collection June (starting down regulation in May)

Hi ladies, would be great to chat to anyone who is about to start down regulation, in prep for stims later in the month and egg collection early June.

I start Norethisterone tomorrow. Will be at UCLH/CRGH, first ever IVF. We have MFI.

Mostly terrified of the needles! I have this irrational fear that I could puncture an organ - someone tell me that's not possible?! lol

@Aim2912 eee I hope so 🤞🏻 I keep going from being really positive to negative. Just got to think in a weeks time I'll be going in for bloods! Wishing my life away haha! Awww hope ur uti clears up fast last thing u need after all of this!

@Ofpalestsilver I would take that as a good sign 6 days in! Sounds like implantation to me! When do u go for bloods again?? Thursday? Are u home testing before? Think I'll probably cave in a test before.

@ivf2021 blood test is supposed to be Thursday but planning home test on Tuesday. I’m in a different part of UK at moment so might need to get a private blood test somewhere.

@Ofpalestsilver - I agree with the below cramps and pinkish brown blood sounds a lot like implantation to me too 🤞🏼🤞🏼
Got the call this morning - two out of three fertilised normally so now keeping everything crossed that both make it to day five, if I had one to freeze that would be just incredible but I'll be happy with one healthy embryo to transfer - thanks everyone for your support the past few days it's honestly been invaluable!! ❤️🌈🙏🏼x

@Luan82 2 out of 3 - wow what a great fertilisation rate. Here’s hoping that they continue with such great rates. The next few days will be tense but worth it I’m sure. Do u get a day 3 update?

I keep getting that feeling u get before AF (not necessarily cramps but that feeling in ur stomach if u know what I mean) hoping it's the pessaries!

@Ofpalestsilver I don't think so as they use embryo scope so i think they are left alone till day 5 then I get a call to see what's happened with both

@Luan82 my clinic don't do day 3 phone calls either. But when they rang on day 5 they said they always check in on them on day 3. So no news is definitely good news! X

@ivf2021 I got the impression that mines the same something about 3 day and if they aren't looking good day three they likely wouldn't transfer anyway
Hope you aren't too worried about your cramps - I've been told so many times that cramping is normal so fingers crossed for you xx

@Aim2912 can't believe you've got a uti with everything we're going through...how annoying! Hope you're feeling okay and not in too much pain!

@Ofpalestsilver I didn't do the transfer this cycle, I froze all of mine. Planning to do the transfer in August hopefully.

Hello lovely ladies am planning to start my IUI or IVF treatment with CRGH in London anyone been to that clinic? Any feedback concerning care and medications costs pls?? Thanks

@Luan82 fab I panicked when they said I wouldn't get a day 3 update but think if I heard on day 3 that one didn't make it and one was slow I would of had no hope for the other one. So I'm glad I just got day 5!

@Coops0406 horrible overthinking isn't it. All day I've been thinking is it AF, the pessaries or 🙏🏻🤞🏻 implantation.

@Aim2912 such a rollercoaster! Hoping it will be sooo worth it for us all ❤️ are u enjoying the time or just excited to get transfer ASAP?

@Aim2912 @ivf2021 - Honestly I was a wreck on Friday night barely slept a wink because the numbers were low I was sure it wouldn't be good, perhaps I've now finally got a diagnosis of my unexplained infertility though - with one unresponsive ovary and a few empty follicles I think DOR is the official diagnosis now. On Saturday morning I was on tenterhooks I even baked a cake to distract myself - so now I prefer not to get updates till just before transfer otherwise I'll send myself insane every time the phone rings!!🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼
@Coops0406 must be coming up to d-date for you lovely? Keeping everything crossed - the way I feel right now I'll just be so grateful to make it to ET !! 🙏🏼🤞🏼🌈❤️x

@Luan82 - well at least you're a few days along now so not much longer to go. Are you working at the moment? Will that help distract you? The weekends are hard though. I found that just before my EC!

@Luan82 it's Friday!!! Thank you so much! I'm not looking forward to it. I'm just in a very strange bubble right now of it's in me hopefully making its home and I don't want to know otherwise! Friday will be horrific!
When is day 5 for you? Will it be Wednesday? I have every faith and you just have to stay positive 🤞🏾😍

@Ofpalestsilver I feel okay today, still sore boobs, but have been knackered! My left eye has been twitching and I napped in the car at lunchtime while OH had to do the food shop!
How are you? When do you think you'll test?

@Ofpalestsilver after the sedation wore off I was very bloated and sore I think they really went at my ovaries to try and get as many as possible! 😂 so I have been resting this weekend - I'm back to work tomorrow and my boss has decided to take the week off, I was less than impressed at first as it falls on my transfer (if we get that far) but as I'm working from home I at least get some distraction whist isolating !! As I felt slightly less sore and had a bit of cabin fever I spent the day in the garden today weeding and listening to a podcast
@Coops0406 ET planned for Wednesday at three pm so I've just got to get through the next few days - keep praying and hoping they do their thing in the incubator and grow and grow nicely !!! I think they will call me either Tuesday or Wednesday am with an update and if they have made it to transfer so fingers 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼! x

@Coops0406 I am absolutely zonked. So glad to hear it’s not just me. I’m still trying to finish up work before my holiday. I reckon I’ll be finally done at midnight! We’ll keep you distracted til Friday. I’m currently planning on testing on Tuesday!

@Luan82 Glad you were able do a few things to keep yourself occupied! It’s hard when you’re feeling a bit off and your mind is swirling. I can’t believe how much this on my mind. I can hardly think of anything.

After trolling the internet I seen most people getting their BFP on day 6/7 post transfer and caved in this morning 7dp and BFN! Wish I hadn't done it as I've just cried all morning and believe it's over now 😭 should of stayed in a bubble of I could be pregnant!

@ivf2021 sorry to hear that. It’s hard all right. This is a rollercoaster.

I also tested & a very clear BFN for me too. Sad day indeed.

@ivf2021 9 days. At least it gives me a month or so to lose the weight I put on with this.

@Ofpalestsilver when are u in for bloods? Have u lost all hope? I feel like it's over but trying to hold on to a tiny bit of hope 🙏🏻 I've put on quite abit weight too xx

@ivf2021 I think it is still early for you, maybe wait 2/3 days and test again. Everyone's body is different and it really depends on when implantation happened.
