Couldn't see a thread for May so I thought I'd start one!

Anyone else doing their cycle in May? I just got my calendar through and all the injections look extremely Not Fun (this is my first time doing it) 😕

@Georgie87B amazing news for you! No just the one as I only wanted it to see if it showed if I was having twins or not 🙈 I do have a medichecks finger prick hcg test which I might send off on Friday. Not sure how accurate it is but be interesting to see! My clinics also messed up my prescription and only ordered me two weeks worth of pessaries and injections when my scan is 3 weeks away so I've been cheeky and asked if it can be moved forward a week haha. Can only try

@notyetamumbuttrying My clinic got back to me saying current recommendation is to get the vaccine at least 7 days before the FET in case of side effects, so I'm going to hold off as timing doesn't seem good for me at the moment, though af continues to be an elusive beast!

Sorry I've been quiet, anxiety was hard yesterday. But we got the call this morning.... All 3 embabies are going strong, grade 1 quality, 8 cells ❤️ 🥰 so we're booked in for 5 day transfer on Saturday. Absolutely thrilled.

@2mumlife my clinic has similar views - not because it's dangerous but because it can cause a fever and a false positive on a covid test which they make you do during treatment.

My AF was a bit of spotting yesterday and now has disappeared. have an appointment in an hour just in case. I am so worried they're gonna say we can't go ahead with transfer as my lining is playing up.

@2mumlife good advice. Lol still can't believe she hasn't reared her ugly head! 🤯

Our clinic contacted us this morning to say one of our remaining embryos has developed enough to be suitable for freezing 🥰 which I’m so pleased about seeing as I only had four eggs collected & three fertilised. 🤞🏻🤞🏻

So back from the clinic. a few good updates

1. despite the fact aunt flo isn't being difficult and weird my lining is breaking down so think i'll be getting her full force soon but it's looking good to start.
2. I have 11 follicles at base line this time (I had 6 at the previous one) so fingers crossed they all respond.
3. I had to lose 10lbs to start for a fresh round...I've lost 13 :)
4. they got my blood out first time (I have the worst veins).

So waiting for the call to officially start. fingers crossed!!

Can someone give me some hope ! Trying to be positive here

Just got back from scan 3, I'm on 8 day of stims

Scan two at 5 days stims wasn't the best

From 12 folicles only 3-4 looked good the DR said
Sizes were small, they were
6 at 6mm
Then a 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12

Today's scan
Only one follicle at 16.4mm !!
The rest are
1x 12mm
3x 10mm
2x8mm
1 x7mm
And 1 at 6

So frustratingly the 6 6ms have all grown but ever so slightly! So he even said it's frustrating as they are there but not responding as well as he would have liked.

So im quite disheartened....

The plan is I carry on stimming until Monday my next scan where hopefully some will catch up? But I'm so worried. They have such a way to go.

@notyetamumbuttrying My cycle varies quite alot naturally (its why I'm on medicated rather than natural FET). Last cycle (the one after unsuccessful fresh tranfer) was 41 days long (which was long even for me) so I was already suspecting this might be a longer cycle. I'm day 34 now, and 38 days is the upper limit of my 'normal' so resigned to just waiting. Been waiting a long time for this baby now, I'm getting used to waiting. I'm currently fantasising about a giant side of onion rings in the pub with a loaded chicken burger and a cold pint (though mostly its about the onion rings) which is a good sign she's probably on her way soon (or just a sign I've not been to a pub for over a year)

@strawberrysummer19 Its all about quality over quantity. If you have a look back at some of the others on the forum with loads of eggs collected, but the end overall outcome (day 5 embryos) isn't really much better than many who have much smaller eggs numbers. Just do what your doing following your clinics instructions and try not to overthink it.

@2mumlife that's a great bit of advice, didn't see it like that....I think I'm worried for the others though incase they don't catch up and I'm left with one !

But I'm trying not to over think, it's so hard x

@strawberrysummer19 I know it’s easier said than done, but please try not to overthink it. Everyone’s bodies respond differently- I had to stim for 14 days, and it’s amazing how quickly follicles can catch up (1-2mm a day generally). I spent a lot of time with a hot water bottle on my lap & drank lots of water/skimmed milk in the hope it helped & I made it to ET yesterday. Xx

@strawberrysummer19 I didn't respond as expected my first fresh round - I only ended up with 2 mature eggs, but ended with 2 very high grade day 5 embryos. Others on the forum have way more eggs to start with and end up with similar numbers. It feels crap when you see everyone else having large numbers of eggs collected, but there is no point collecting loads of immature eggs. You never really know what you will get until egg collection, or what your next scan will show!

@strawberrysummer19 I say this after beating myself up LOADS for only getting 2 mature eggs on that round. Try not to compare to others, its not helpful to you.

@Flissa7 thank you that's made me feel reassured. I will be stimming for 12 days in total come Monday so I suppose it's not long in the great scheme of things?

@2mumlife that's another good point and yes you're so right. I'm going to be very kind to myself and hope that over the weekend some catch up.

@strawberrysummer19 like others have said try not to over think it as we are all different but looking at your graph it's not far behind what I was at that stage. And you will be surprised how some of them catch up! And I got 13 eggs measured at my last scan and all 13 collected but after 5 days only 3 matured to blastocysts so agree with everyone else that says it really is quality over quantity! 👍 You got this! 💪👏Xx

@Georgie87B yeah I know I shouldn't feel disheartened my boyfriend said the same
Some have grown 6m in 5 days so they still have another 4 days to do some growing!

And yes let's hope they have a growth spurt!!!
