Couldn't see a thread for May so I thought I'd start one!

Anyone else doing their cycle in May? I just got my calendar through and all the injections look extremely Not Fun (this is my first time doing it) 😕

@Flissa7 thanks for the well wishes😘 got to be at the clinic for 13:15 tomorrow so I recon the morning is going to really drag.

@Bells3032 Any sign of your AF? Low and behold mine isn't here this morning. I'm not really surprised. I'm hoping it comes in the next couple of days, and not like my 40+ day long cycle last month. I'm trying to take it as the universe giving me a bit more time to get my marking wrapped up so I can be less stressed

I had my baseline scan yesterday. Doing a lower dose of buserelin now and then waiting for a call to say I can start menopur. They took blood due to a suspected cyst so just waiting for the all clear phone call before starting menopur tonight. Next scan booked for 26th May! EC ear marked for end of the month.

Morning everyone. Good news, we have 3 embabies 🥰 so relieved. I can breathe again now!

I slept all afternoon, was quite uncomfortable but it's eased today, so I'm going to get out in the fresh air and celebrate today's win.

I've not caught up from yesterday but hoping everyone is doing well xx

@2mumlife nope no sign of her yet. Fingers crossed today else we have to start moving around our holiday plans

it's so frustrating. Wondering if it's my redic strict diet causing havoc with my cycle (I am usually v regular) but don't want to risk my transfer by eating more. I had one small chocolate bar yesterday (150 calories) and I've gained an lb. an lb it took me several days to lose. I only have 3lbs leeway now and i want to be able to drink before my appointment to make the blood test easier.

I am so upset.

@Bells3032 I think sometimes it can be stress that also adds to delaying things, definitely for me. I know easier said than done but try to look after yourself and and do things to take your mind off it 🥰

@Bells3032 You've put your body through a lot of cycles aready remember. Nothing you do will speed up AF unforutnately, so best to just try to take your mind off it if you can. Can you still go on your break and just drive to clinic if need be? That what we might need to do as have a small break away planned too, but its not that far from clinic if we did need to go we could do it.

Hi everyone !

How is everyone doing?

Can someone help me read my follicle results
I've just had my 2nd scan ( day 5 stims) and have another scan booked Thursday

They've given me a chart to read results and did explain as they were scanning but it's always after you go over it so it's good they gave me a print out!

I have 4 on my left ovary and 6 on my right but he said some are very small and probably won't grow? But maybe 3/4 would be a good result
Can't help but feel little disheartens when I had 9 and then 12 at my follicle count
But he did also say things could change my Thursday...he seemed happy but I guess I'm worried they may not grow!

Looking at the chart it seems 6 are still on 6mm which is what my first scan showed and rest are on so I'm guessing these are the ones that won't grow ?

The rest are on 8, 9 10 and an 11 so just thinking that's still quite low ?

He said my lining is great though

How is everyone else getting on?

I start fyremadel Wednesday morning and keep going with menopur xx

Can someone help with this ? Feeling a bit deflated after my day 5 scan x

@2mumlife fraid not really realistic. I live in London and were going away to York so over four hours each way. We may have to edit the plans. Also it's just depressing as I have booked the week off between Retrival and transfer and was hoping after transfer I could go out and about a bit but seems less and less likely. My clinic does temp checks so even a cold may result in me not getting my transfer so we are strictly isolating and I am already bored af

@VenusStarr congratulations on 3 embabies - that's great. Have they said when they will transfer?

@Bells3032 I e been reading lots of forums and many women have said af has been late just before ivf. How she comes for you today xx

@2mumlife are you a teacher too? I've also been powering through my marking as I'm expecting egg collection on Friday

@strawberrysummer19 I can only go by my experience, but I had 8 follicles in total, only really had 2 growing at the same rate - one grew 6mm in 1 day! (had scans Monday, Wednesday and Friday). On the Wednesday they were talking about collecting on the Friday, but reviewed my bloods and I was ok to push a bit longer. My top 2 were 21mm on the Friday and I triggered the next night. They hoped to get 3 as my third was 15/16mm. But at egg collection there were 7 eggs. This morning the embryologist said 3 have fertilised normally and are looking good but the others weren't fertilised, possibly due to immaturity. I'm hoping it's quality over quantity. It is so disheartening, especially when you hear of others getting loads of follicles, but you've got some good ones growing there 💓 hoping when you're back on Thursday you'll get reassuring news xx

But I'm trying to be positive.

It's so hard to try not think of it! From scanning Monday to Thursday I know it's a long time so I'm just hoping they grow

@strawberrysummer19 I can't remember what mine where on my 1st stims scan as it was like year but I have this cycles 1st scan this afternoon. I can let you know what mine are but I'm a day behind you as today is day 4 of stims and you can maybe compare? They never told me how many I had before so I have no idea what today's result is going from be.

Hopefully you get a better result on Thursday and the little ones catch up. X

@strawberrysummer19 ❤️ I don't think you have to be positive if you don't feel it. I felt strangely detached last week, which I think was a protective mechanism. I decided to try to trust my clinic and trust the process. The first time I've felt emotional was on the call today, I feel very proud that we've got this far.

@Alexm06 yeah that would be great. I just maybe for excited at the thought of 12 folicles thats are now only 3/4 😞but really trying to not be disheartened!!!

@VenusStarr that's great advice - I need to do with the flow and trust my clinic and the process.

The first time I burst out crying since we started was when I had to do the injection myself as my boyfriend was on a works meeting as he normally does them. I felt so silly ! Im fine with needles and they don't really hurt but it was the thought of having to do it myself - it was like my brain was stopping me and took me ages to do it! We did a practise one together when he was here but that was worse.

He's back tonight but I'll have to do my fyremadel ones which start tomorrow as it's at 7am and he's gone to work by then.

But you're right sometimes you just get tired of being positive
I've been a bit disheartens since the scan yesterday and can't seem to switch off x

@strawberrysummer19 Don’t lose hope just yet. The first scan is not always very informative. Sometime follicles need longer to start growing. For my last EC, my follicles were very slow to start growing, so my clinic added Menopur into the mix and I ended up stimming for 14 days or something. They might tweak your meds next time or give it a bit longer and you might end up with very different numbers by time you get to EC! Good luck!

I'm happy to stim a bit longer if necessary although I'm already on a high dose of menopur so maybe they will extend me. Didn't think I'd be paying any more for meds ! But as I say I don't mind if it gets them growing !

I'll just have to see what Thursday brings x

Just sat here crying my eyes out. so fed up with this whole process and my body just can't seem to do one basic thing right.

Looking more and more likely the holiday i've been looking forward for months isn't gonna happen thanks to this stupid ivf. thanks to DH's work there's no way we can take any time off again til September. feel totally miserable.
