Couldn't see a thread for May so I thought I'd start one!

Anyone else doing their cycle in May? I just got my calendar through and all the injections look extremely Not Fun (this is my first time doing it) 😕

@Bells3032 Hope AF comes for you eventually, its weird waiting isn't it? All fertility drugs seem to do to me is massively shorten my cycle length. I'm still not a PMS monster or wanting to gorge on carbs, so going to be really surprised if mine comes tomororw. I use a period tracker (the one thats got tomorrow down for AF) and the period tracker on fitbit (which thinks it'll be another 6 days) so we'll see, currently thinking fitbit might be closer to the mark this cycle. My cycle length varies at the best of times

@esperanzada I have had one video appointment with the consultant which was informative, one telephone appointment where they basically read out the medication information they had put in the portal for me...I asked why it was certain medications but didn't really get an explanation. I feel quite in the dark about things but am just putting my trust in the process and hoping for the best. So hard with no face to face meetings to ask questions properly and my other half won't be allowed in for EC when it happens so quite a lonely process. But the speed that things have progressed has been good

I'm 2dp5dt (I think, I'm guessing transfer counts as day 0!?) and have been super busy with work today and a busy working week ahead so hoping it goes by super fast!

And it's still not here. this is so frustrating. if it's a day late then my DH won't be off for EC. if it's two days late we'll have to move our holiday!!

@Bells3032 it's so obvious now but when I've seen it previously I haven't quite managed to figure it out! 🤦🏾‍♀️
So am I right in thinking you need AF to come to start the injections? I'm on norithisterone for 3 weeks (last week now) to delay/time my bleed, but as long as it comes before 29th May (or first thing that morning) I can start injections 🤞🏾

@Coops0406 yes. i start my injections on day 2. my last cycles for IVF started exactly 8 and 16 weeks ago (the ones in between were withdrawal bleeds and came a few days early). i am getting so impatient. I have to be below a certain weight for the IVF so last time was being super good and then was like sod it...ate junk and lo and behold.

I've just tried a chocolate bar now to try and do that again. i'm 4lbs below my goal weight so think one choccie bar won't change much

@Bells3032 absolutely!!! One chocolate bar won't have any effect if you've been being so good! As long as it doesn't lead onto more like mine do!

@Coops0406 you sound like you in pretty much same situation as me. I do feel a bit lost in this whole process and they do leave you to feel lonely...last choice word I would use is Care to describe experience!! But we are here now and going through the motions, I’m just glad I have found people I can discuss this with as I have truly felt so lonely for weeks

Can I get some advice please ladies? I'm due to inject my 4th stim tonight and I've just started bleeding! It's not a lot but surely I'm not supposed to be bleeding? I had my withdrawal bleed last week and had my baseline scan on Friday where they confirmed I'm "down regulated" and can start stimulation. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm not sure if I should be worried or call the clinic? Please help !! TIA

Hi everyone. Hope this is the right place to put this. I'm currently 5dp5dt. Thought I would do a test since my husbands out haha. I think I can see a line but not sure if a positive would show up so early. Also not sure how long the trigger stays in your system. I had that about 2 weeks ago.

@Tarsette after having so many rounds, no one can blame you for sheltering your heart. I'm only on my first round and already a negative nelly. Fingers crossed this will work and you will have a healthy and happy bubba in your arms soon x

I've had my second follicle scan today and have 13 follicles around 15mm. Egg collection potentially on Friday . It feels strange how quickly it's flying by. X

@esperanzada I'm putting it down to covid that it seems this way...and I'm also just so grateful that treatment is still happening. It's nice to have found this to be able to see that there are so many others going through the same, makes it a less lonely journey

Ahh, so lovely to log on & see such positive EC numbers! 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Fingers crossed that they all fertilise & develop into strong little embryos. I’m still keeping everything crossed that at least one of my 3 makes it to transfer on Wed 🤞🏻🤞🏻.
Anxiety is also a little better today which is the upside of being busy with work!

@Louweeze I’m sure it’s fine lovely but can’t hurt to make a call to your clinic tomorrow.

@esperanzada I really like my CARE clinic in terms of friendliness of staff & support I’ve received so far. Do feel sometimes that they expect you to understand things without explaining them fully (but maybe that’s just this process in general!) xx

You are relaxing? How are you feeling?

I have low AMH of 5.6 but my scan today (5 day stims only showed 4 folicles that have grown since Monday - he said the other 6 were very small and may not grow so from my initial follicle count of 9 and then 12 I was a bit disappointed

But I guess it could all change by next scan - I hope !!

@Bells3032 urgh hope AF shows up for you and you don't need to change your plans. We booked a little stay away aswell, so hard to figure out when will be enough time past potential ET or not!

@MrsDee88 I feel like I can see a line there. Does it have colour or does it look grey in person? Tentative congrats, I think if your trigger was two weeks ago it wouldn't be showing up still. When is your OTD?

Thanks for replying @hoping4baby21. It definitely does have colour in person. It's also not the best pic I put up. I was panicking! Trigger shot was 12 days ago and OTD isn't until a week on Wednesday so in 9 days still. Not getting my hopes up just yet.

@MrsDee88 that seems like such a long wait for OTD but like someone else said plenty of time for it to get darker. If it's colour then I'd say it's positive, test tomorrow!

@Hoping4baby21 Feeling sorry for you, it's been a lovely day here! Not long in from planting out some more chard seedlings into raised beds with the birds singing away (here's a bunch of chard leaves I picked for dinner the other night, got to love home-grown folic acid!)

@2mumlife argh no way! Hopefully the good weather makes it down here because it's getting ridiculous! Last May was absolutely amazing, we even had hail today!

Thank you everyone for the replies. I'm going to test again tomorrow and the next day and no doubt all the days up until OTD! Hopefully the lines get darker. Hope everyone is having a good night
