Couldn't see a thread for May so I thought I'd start one!

Anyone else doing their cycle in May? I just got my calendar through and all the injections look extremely Not Fun (this is my first time doing it) 😕

@strawberrysummer19 yeah it's quite old advice you don't have to do it. I have used it on two cycles. Only once did I have any blood which was my trigger night on the first round. Its fine. But frymadel is quite a blunt needle and it makes it quite itchy for about an hour or two. I highly reccomend icing the area and also walking around a bit after injecting it rather than siting down immediately

@Louweeze ahh well I guess better minimal side effects than a ton which make you feel crappy. This is my first cycle and I start tomorrow so i will let you know if I get any side effects. Hopefully not 🤞🏽.

From what I know they are linked so if one is high other should be high. I have not had my AMH tested as they knew my AFC but I assume it is on the higher side. So although mild IVF is good for low AMH, there are many studies which show the benefits for mild for normal and high responders they seem to find that although lower quantity of eggs they are of higher quality.

No special diet but eating well, more whole foods, fish and seafood, cutting down sugar, and a ton of supplements.

I’m sure people wonder about this all the time, but is it okay to have sex after EC? Has anyone been advised one way or the other by their fertility team? X

@Georgie87B @Flissa7 Gee wizz my clinic have kept letting partners in for transfer and IUI procedure throughout lockdown! We aren't with NHS though which might be the difference.

Interesting all this fyramedel chat, I'm taking it for the first time as part for FET cycle. Hopefully AF arrives this week and we can get going!

@Flissa7 some clinics say not for two weeks. My clinic said as soon as you feel comfortable but tbh when we've tried at a week it's been quite sore I think I became quite irritated down there from Wandas visits. Just to warn you

My clinics been allowing partners for ec but not for scans or transfers. I'm hoping that will change now.

Praying AF arrives tomorrow. We are going to go away two days after transfer of all goes to time. So hopefully it doesn't run more than a day late.

Thanks for the thoughts about sex too, lovely (what did you mean by Wanda visits though - sorry if I’m being stupid!). My clinic didn’t mention it but maybe I’ll just leave it for now as it’s ET on Wed, but then I know some people decide not to after that too... x

@Flissa7 Wanda is the nickname for the transvaginal ultrasound machine. Meaning lots of ultrasounds and the surgery basically make me feel a bit sensitive down there. But I am quite sensitive anyway

Thanks all...very excited for tomorrow but trying to stay optimistic but from what they said on Fridays scan I have 9 really good folicles on the one side a 6 really good on the other.

@strawberrysummer19 i was on fyremadel and didn’t do the drawing back as nurse said no need. It did itch around the area of injection for a few minutes after (bit like an insect bite) but apparently that’s normal.

Is anyone else with care fertility? (that’s who I’m with)

Ahh yes @Bells3032, of course! Tbf, I am a little sore from far too many scans in the last 8-9 days so I should probably just give her a break 😂 especially now I have the Cronine to use daily.

@Bells3032 I need some AF my way as well. Hoping it starts tomorrow for me, but I'm not feeling it and I was really late the month before after IVF so not convinced my body's quite back to usual cycle lengths. We've got a couple of nights away so I'm hoping we don't have any clinic visits during that!

@2mumlife my last few cycles have been on the dot. weirdly it seems the IVF meds have made me more regular. I always seem to have such weird responses to everything.

I had some cramping last night but no idea if that's psychosomatic. Fingers crossed. If it comes today also means EC will be over the weekend which makes it much easier for DH!

First baseline scan done, now sat waiting to hear from the nurse on if I can switch onto menopur yet!

My plans for obsessive line progression investigation were dashed as amazon failed to deliver my FRERs. Resorting to using OPKs that I had which don’t really tell you anything OTD on Friday, I’m going to do a clearblue digital then.

Hope those of you suffering from anxiety are feeling a bit brighter this week x

I'm home from egg collection, I got 7 eggs! Really surprised, obviously don't know how many are mature. Hopefully they're doing their thing with dh's sperm 🥰

I've got a cyst, but they weren't worried but might explain why I am a bit sore. Resting up this afternoon, on the sofa with the cats x

They think I might have a cyst as well so got to wait for a phone call this afternoon to see if they say I'm ok to reduce buserelin and start menopur tomorrow. Next scan booked for 26th May and hopefully EC before the month is out!!

I had my baseline scan today and can start Gonal F 200 iu tonight. I feel a bit empty to be honest. It will be my 5th transfer (I need Gonal F to thicken my lining) and after so many failures and setbacks I can’t really muster any enthusiasm. I don’t really believe it will work so I feel like I am going through the motions just to get this whole thing over with and accept I won’t have a second child (I have a daughter from IVF)... Sorry for the negativity but this whole process is making me increasingly bitter and I worry about that...

How is everyone doing?

Can someone help me read my follicle results
I've just had my 2nd scan ( day 5 stims) and have another scan booked Thursday

They've given me a chart to read results and did explain as they were scanning but it's always after you go over it so it's good they gave me a print out!

I have 4 on my left ovary and 6 on my right but he said some are very small and probably won't grow? But maybe 3/4 would be a good result
Can't help but feel little disheartens when I had 9 and then 12 at my follicle count
But he did also say things could change my Thursday...he seemed happy but I guess I'm worried they may not grow!

Looking at the chart it seems 6 are still on 6mm which is what my first scan showed and rest are on so I'm guessing these are the ones that won't grow ?

The rest are on 8, 9 10 and an 11 so just thinking that's still quite low ?

He said my lining is great though

How is everyone else getting on?

I start fyremadel Wednesday morning and keep going with menopur xx

Egg collection done and 10 eggs collected just out now having some lunch sat inside finally and will know more tomorrow

@Coops0406 @Flissa7 how do you find care? I found my main hospital for EC really good but my closer clinic aren’t the best...what’s your thoughts?
