Couldn't see a thread for May so I thought I'd start one!

Anyone else doing their cycle in May? I just got my calendar through and all the injections look extremely Not Fun (this is my first time doing it) 😕

@2mumlife they sent me enough originally to get to OTD plus a couple of extra days but we didn't do a transfer in jan in the end for a few reasons. First transfer this month eeep

@2mumlife I’ve got to take it until OTD in the first instance, and then until 12 weeks if it’s a BFP. I think I might have to do it that way once I go back to work, as I won’t have the time to lie down for 30 mins each time 😂

Hi ladies, I hope everyone is well and looking forward to the weekend. Its been a bit of a rollercoaster here today and I wondered if anyone had had a similar experience.

I went for day 5 scan and blood tests (I'm on short protocol) and from the 5 follicles i have in one ovary (other ovary looks to be dormant ) only 1 follicle responded to stims and has grown (gutted)

The doctor doesn't think the others will catch up and asked if I wanted to go ahead and complete the cycle with just 1 or postpone and see if next month any better. Long story short, I decided to go ahead and now doing 3 cycles of EC instead of 1 cycle so fingers crossed for a better follicle count and response next cycle.

Started the Cetrotide injection today and just recieved a call from clinic to have my final bemfola (150) injection tonight (day 5!) Another Cetrotide tomorrow, x2 trigger shots tomorrow night and EC on Monday?! Has anyone ever heard of so soon?

Hi everyone, just did my second injection and it bled 😔 worried I did it wrong. Dh said my technique was a bit different tonight 🤔 just panicking that I messed up the dose. Got a bit of a bruise too.

This is my first cycle @Hopefuleggs but it does seem early to be stopping stims. What's the size difference between the dominant follicle and the smaller ones? I know they aren't expecting many follicles from me as my amh is low, but I'm on 225 of bemfola. Just wondering why they haven't changed your dose?

Good news from your scan today @Georgie87B :) fingers crossed for Monday. What time is your scan? My first one is 9.30.

I can get cyclogest from my miscarriage clinic and do have some left @2mumlife good to hear that changing won't affect things.

Great news @DoctorBambino how do you feel if it is freeze all?

Thanks @TeaAndCrumpets1 and @VenusStarr 😊 my 2nd scan is at 1.30 on Monday so hope they keep growing over the weekend.. I wouldn't worry too much about slight bleeding afterwards I have found that I bleed slightly after taking cetrotide as long as all the dose went in it should be doing its job 👍. Hope your first scan goes OK on Monday I found it really interesting as its my first time too and to see all the follicles on the monitor made it all feel real! 😁
@Hopefuleggs I'm so sorry to hear you haven't responded well this time round to stims.. I'm guessing the one follicle must be very big for them to want to trigger you early. You never know you may get a top quality egg out of it yet! Maybe next cycle they will tweak your meds to get a better response. Sorry I am pretty new to this so can't offer much advise..

@Hopefuleggs sorry that you got news you weren't expecting. It does only take one. I am curious what size the follicular is as Venus asked, I imagine it is ready to go and you could risk spontaneous ovulation if you continued which is why they have recommend the protocol they did. Glad you have the back up plan of 3 EC cycles in that case.

@VenusStarr did all the dose go in? As I'm nothing left in the syringe? Did you notice a spill? If not then I would say you didn't mess up the dose. I'm sure it was scary bleeding and all!

@Hopefuleggs sorry to hear that you have to stop treatment early. Hopefully you will get a top quality embryo and a better response on your next cycle.

As for me, I’ve just took my last stims injection. Trigger tomorrow and egg collection Monday. I am so happy that this part of the journey is finally coming to an end! I won’t know if it’s a freeze all until I have had the egg collection. I am very uncomfortable at the moment so hoping Monday comes around very quickly.

@JesHope345 we are on exactly the same timeline then, trigger for me tonight and collection on Monday at 7.45am 😊 I also won't know about the freeze all until they're collected. Exciting stuff! Sorry to hear you're uncomfortable. Roll on Monday!! 🍀🍀🍀

I found cetrotide injection be more irritating than my other injections but agree that as long as the formula went in your good but maybe try the little bit of ice before and slower to avoid the pin cushion pain :(

@Georgie87B @Hoping4baby21 yes I think the early collection is due to the risk of early ovulation as the larger follicle jumped from 11mm to 17mm in a couple of days while no change on the smaller ones. What i am learning on this site is crazy, you guys know so much x I'm finding this whole process mesmerising. The female bodies and all its intricacies

I bruise easily anyway. I've had a couple of twinges, so hope my ovaries are waking up and growing some follicles.

Day 3 update from me, they’ve moved the transfer to Monday as they have 5 good quality embryos so far. Fingers crossed for day 5 update, I guess they don’t tell you until you arrive for the transfer

@Bells3032 Ahh ok. My fridge is just full of excess drugs after so many different things . First transfer is exciting :)

@TeaAndCrumpets1 I went that way because the idea of putting anything up the front door after EC was too much (I was still pretty sore). Then when I realsied it wasn't too bad I just kept doing it that way for ease.

@Hopefuleggs I had trigger shot day 8 (after just 7 days of stims). I was on 400iu menapur CD1+2, with 200iu menapur day 3-7. I'm 31and have normal AMH for age. It sounds like for whatever reason you've ended up with 1 dominant follicule thats ready. I had not disimilar at day 8 scan, which was my first follicule check scan (3 really big follicules >17mm approx and 4 pretty big ones >14mm approx, with 20+ smaller follicules < 14mm). We got 4 eggs, 2 mature, 2 perfect 5 days blasts (5AA, 4AA). I've been labbeled a 'poor responder' (but as my nurse put it 'I took the fast train') and have a few strategy changes arranged with clinic if we need another fresh cycle (we're trying a FET this month of my 4AA after 5AA unsuccessful fresh transfer). I'm being moved to Flare protocol, with a delayed egg retriveal (37 rather than 36 hours after trigger) as most my eggs weren't mature and wouldn't come away from follicule wall during retrieval. I'm sorry you're going through this, but you never know that 1 might be your perfect 1 for you Fx Are you doing a freeze or will you have fresh transfer if you can this cycle?

Thank you ladies! All done and officially PUPO with two embabies on board! Today we had 3 grade A's and 1 grade C (apparently not far off a grade A) and have more hopefully due to catch up tomorrow 🤞
